The beginning of Dunzen War Arc
The sirens echoed across Tokyo.
Red alerts flashed on every Battler Organization screen.
EMERGENCY DUNZEN BREACH — RANK: S
Kenji stood in front of the massive underground gate as it slowly opened. Dark mist poured out like living smoke.
"This one's different," Aiko said quietly, eyes focused. "The density of karma inside… it's abnormal."
Ryo cracked his neck. "Good. I'm tired of weak enemies."
Toya smiled, electricity sparking along his arms. "Let's keep everyone alive, yeah?"
Kenji tightened his grip on his sword.
"This is not a solo fight," he said firmly. "We move as one."
Ryo glanced at him, then looked away. "Don't slow me down, leader."
The gate opened fully.
They stepped inside.
The Dunzen was a ruined underground city—collapsed towers, bones fused into walls, monsters crawling like insects.
The moment they entered—
ROAR.
A massive demon burst from the shadows, claws tearing through the ground.
"Formation!" Kenji shouted.
Toya slammed his hands forward.
Scale Tape — Barrier Form!
A transparent shield formed just as the demon's claws struck.
Ryo charged through the opening.
Max Bone!
His fist shattered the demon's skull in one blow.
Blood sprayed across the ruins.
Aiko raised her hand, wind swirling. "Multiple hostiles incoming!"
Kenji stepped forward, flames igniting along his blade.
"Then we don't retreat," he said coldly.
"We burn through."
Far above them, in a secure room—
Chairman Mock watched the live feed, eyes sharp.
"…So this is Kenji's team," he murmured.
"Interesting."
