The attacks began quietly.
Small teams. No insignia. No guild marks.
Battlers vanished.
A B-Rank squad was found dead—bodies drained, karma shattered.
Aiko read the reports, hands trembling.
"These aren't Dunzen monsters… they're organized."
Toya crossed his arms. "Anti-Battler force?"
Kenji's eyes narrowed. "No. They're after me."
Ryo slammed the table. "Then let them come!"
That night—
Kenji walked alone through an abandoned district.
A presence emerged behind him.
"Kenji," a voice echoed.
"Target confirmed."
Five figures appeared, faces masked, weapons glowing with corrupted karma.
Kenji drew his sword.
The fight was brutal.
Fire clashed with twisted energy. Buildings collapsed. Streets burned.
Kenji killed two—but the leader stepped forward, smiling.
"You're not ready," the man said.
"But soon… the King will want you alive."
Before Kenji could react—
A massive barrier slammed down.
Scale Tape — Emergency Guard!
Toya stood between Kenji and the enemy.
Ryo charged in roaring.
Aiko supported from afar, barely holding them together.
The attackers retreated—but not before leaving a message carved into concrete.
"SHADOW KING."
Kenji stared at the words.
"This isn't a guild war," he said quietly.
"It's a prelude."
High above—
Chairman Mock watched the damage reports.
"…So it's started," he whispered.
Antares clenched his fist.
"Then Japan becomes the battlefield."
