The S-Rank Dunzen collapsed inward, its core destroyed—but the aftermath was worse.
Emergency broadcasts flooded every country.
"UNCONFIRMED A-RANK ENERGY SPIKE DETECTED IN JAPAN."
Kenji's team was extracted by Battler Organization forces. Medical units rushed Aiko and Ryo away.
Ryo lay on a stretcher, barely conscious.
"…Did we win?" he asked.
Kenji nodded. "You did."
Ryo laughed weakly. "Then… maybe following you isn't so bad."
Those words hit Kenji harder than any blade.
Inside Tokyo Main Branch—
Chairman Mock stared at the global projection map.
"Multiple countries are requesting data," Antares said.
"They want to know who led that team."
Mock exhaled slowly.
"If they know Kenji exists… we lose control."
Antares hesitated. "Sir… should we hide him?"
Mock shook his head.
"No. The world doesn't allow shadows forever."
Elsewhere—
In Battle Kingdom.
King Itsuki Imoja read the report silently.
A single name stood out.
Kenji.
"So he's alive," the king murmured.
"And growing faster than expected."
Back in Tokyo—
Kenji stood alone on a hospital balcony, city lights flickering below.
Baran's voice returned.
You crossed a line today.
The world noticed.
Kenji replied coldly, "Let them."
From the darkness of another realm—
The Shadow King opened his eyes.
"Send the hunters," he ordered.
"The Dunzen was only a test."
