The impact shattered the chamber.
Ryo's transformed fist smashed into the guardian's core—but the backlash was brutal.
Cracks spread across Ryo's arms.
Steam poured from his body.
"Time limit!" Aiko screamed. "He's overheating!"
The guardian raised its arm for a final strike.
Kenji moved without thinking.
Dark flames erupted around his body.
Baran's voice whispered.
Careful… this much power draws attention.
Kenji ignored it.
He leaped.
Fire + Dark — Cross Burn Slash!
The blade tore through the guardian, splitting it in two.
The Dunzen screamed.
The core shattered.
Silence fell.
Ryo collapsed.
Aiko screamed his name and poured everything into her healing. Blood streamed from her nose as wind and grass energy surrounded them.
Toya knelt, shielding them instinctively.
Minutes passed.
Finally—
Ryo coughed.
"…Told you," he muttered weakly.
Aiko collapsed beside him, unconscious.
Kenji stood shaking, flames fading.
For the first time—
International satellites locked onto his energy signature.
In another country, a figure watched the data.
"So that's Kenji," the man said softly.
"Interesting."
Deep in the shadows—
The Shadow King smiled.
"The war has begun."
