The beginning of The Shadow King Arc.
Tokyo burned under a black sky.
An unnatural eclipse covered the city—no sun, no moon, only shadows twisting like living things.
Battler Organization HQ shook violently.
Chairman Mock stood in the command hall, staring at the monitors.
"So… you finally came," he whispered.
The walls cracked.
Darkness poured in like smoke.
A figure walked out of it—tall, crowned with shadow, eyes glowing silver.
The Shadow King.
"You rule fragile order," the King said calmly.
"I rule inevitability."
Chairman Mock smiled bitterly.
"I was a Battler once."
He released his sealed karma.
S-Rank energy erupted.
The clash was catastrophic.
Light versus shadow.
Old hero versus new terror.
Tokyo felt it.
Kenji, miles away, dropped to one knee.
"This pressure…" Aiko gasped. "That's the Chairman!"
The battle ended in seconds.
A shadow spear pierced through Mock's chest.
He laughed softly as he fell.
"Antares… protect them."
The Shadow King turned away.
"Japan no longer has a guardian."
Chairman Mock died standing.
Across Tokyo, every Battler felt it.
A pillar of darkness rose into the sky.
Kenji clenched his fists.
"…I'm late."
