"Since Na'er wants to go..." Xie Xie's voice was steady, but a flicker of unease crossed his face. He forced a smile and nodded. "I'll go with you."

He knew what this meant. He hated to acknowledge it, but Na'er's uncharacteristic solemnity—the way she looked at the world as if memorizing it—was a clear omen. Today was likely their last meeting for a very long time.

He tightened his grip on her hand, his fingers interlacing with hers. "Wherever you want to go, I'm right here."

Donghai City was defined by its relationship with the ocean. The two walked in silence until they reached a secluded stretch of the shoreline. The setting sun bled crimson and gold across the waves, a scene of heartbreaking beauty, yet neither had the heart to admire it.

They sat side by side on the cooling sand, leaning against one another.

"Big Brother," Na'er whispered, her voice barely audible over the crashing surf. "If one day... I disappear from your world and go somewhere far, far away, will you miss me? Will you look for me?"

She looked at him, struggling to maintain a normal smile. But her reddened eyes and the slight tremor in her lips betrayed the turmoil within.

She had finally been found. The man named Di Tian had appeared, restoring the memories of who she was and what she represented. If she had a choice, she would stay here forever—just a girl with her family. But destiny was a cruel master.

"If you ever leave, I'll miss you terribly," Xie Xie said, turning to look her directly in the eyes. His gaze was resolute, devoid of any childish playfulness. "I will cultivate with everything I have. I'll become strong enough to tear through any distance, find you, and bring you home."

"Then..." Na'er drew a shaky breath. "What if it's a place you could never find in your whole life?"

"No matter where it is—on this continent, across the boundless seas, or in the hidden corners of the world—I will find you. You will always be my family."

Na'er's eyes brimmed with tears, but she smiled. It was the answer she needed. Her mind drifted back to that day three years ago: a lost, silver-haired girl following a boy home. If she could do it all over again, she wouldn't change a thing.

"Then... Big Brother Xie Xie, you must never forget Na'er."

They sat together as night blanketed the earth, two figures carved out of moonlight, before finally heading back.

"Why are you two so late?" Jiang Yun asked anxiously as they entered the villa. She studied Na'er from head to toe, her maternal instincts sensing the shift in the air.

"Auntie, I'm fine," Na'er giggled, though the sound didn't quite reach her eyes. "I just asked Big Brother to watch the sea with me a little longer."

"Silly kids, it's dangerous after dark. Next time, call your Uncle and me—the whole family should go together, all neat and tidy," Jiang Yun said, setting the dinner table with a warm smile.

"Next time... for sure," Na'er replied. A trace of sorrow flashed in her eyes, hidden by a graceful bow as she sat down to eat her last meal in the Xie household.

That Night.

Na'er lay in her bed, listening to Xie Xie's even, rhythmic breathing. He was sound asleep.

Big Brother actually fell asleep tonight, she thought with a start. Usually, he spent his nights in deep meditation. Good... otherwise, I wouldn't know how to leave.

She rose stealthily and placed a prepared envelope on the bedside table. Then, she walked to Xie Xie's side, unable to tear her gaze away. She wanted to etch every detail of his face into her soul.

"Big Brother Xie Xie, remember your promise," she whispered.

She leaned forward and pressed a soft, lingering kiss to his forehead. Beside his pillow, she placed a special, shimmering silver-patterned scale—a piece of her true self.

"Young Miss," a voice hissed from the shadows. A man in black—the Di Tian—appeared, his tone urgent. "We must go."

"I know." Na'er took one last look, her heart breaking. As the air rippled with ancient spatial power, both figures vanished into the void.

The moment they left, Xie Xie quietly opened his eyes. He sat up, touching the spot on his forehead where her lips had been. He looked at the silver scale, his gaze dazed but burning with a quiet fire.

"We'll meet again soon, Na'er," he whispered to the empty room. "I promise."

Early Next Morning.

"Children, come eat!" Jiang Yun called out. She sat at the table, but only Xie Xie emerged from the hallway. "Son, where's Na'er? Is she still sleeping?"

Xie Xie didn't speak. He simply handed her the letter.

As Jiang Yun and Xie Tianhai read the words—"My family has found me... I must leave to do what I am meant to do..."—the room went cold. Jiang Yun's face filled with a sudden, sharp loss, her eyes reddening instantly. She had raised Na'er as her own daughter.

"It's good she found her family," Xie Tianhai sighed, though his voice was heavy. "They must have been searching for her all these years."

"Weren't we her family?!" Jiang Yun snapped, her sorrow turning into a defensive anger. "If they were reliable, they wouldn't have lost her in Aolai City to begin with!"

That afternoon, when Xu Xiaoyan came over to play, she found the house silent. When she heard the news, she froze. The handmade picture she had brought for Na'er slipped from her fingers, fluttering to the ground like a fallen leaf.

The "Girl from the Sky" was gone, and the peace of Donghai City had finally been shattered.
