I don't know how long was I asleep but I woke up when Pinky kept nudging me with its branches.
I yawned and stretched my arms before I sat up. I just had the best sleep so far.
I looked around and I noticed that the room seems different than before. It's like I'm inside a wide space with huge windows covered by curtains. There's no furniture but the room is filled with all sort of machines and stuff. Floating lights are everywhere and I saw that there are sort of parchments and papers glowing all over the place.
It looked chaotic.
I was used to working in an orderly environment. There's a designated place for everything.
Now what I just saw is a complete opposite on what I'm used to.
I walked around, trying to find a sort of door or something. Unlike the rooms we had on earth which had a door at the corner, the room I'm in have no door.
So I tried pulling the curtains at the sight and I'm speechless on what I saw.
Chaos all over the ground and in mid air. Since the castle I'm in are floating on air, I can see the sights on the ground a bit better.
All sorts of buildings in different sizes and colors just scattered all over, whether on the ground or floating in the air.
I'm used to what we have on earth an organized (of some sorts) city planning on which the houses are on a specific area, the commercial buildings especially the large ones are on a designated spot but here? It's like a burst of glitter.
I continued to watch until my stomach started to hurt.
I forgot that I didn't eat.
I didn't see Lion so I tried communicating with Pinky.
To my surprise, it sort of understand me as it started growing some sort of fruit on its branches.
The fruit is unlike what I've seen on earth. Small assortment of shapes bundled together in one fruit. The color was sort of like a mixed of pink, purple and green. I hesitantly pick one and smelled it.
It smelled sweet and a bit of sour? So I tried to take a bite. It tasted like mango mixed with lemon sprinkled with a bit of sugar. I finished one and Pinky kept nudging me to eat more.
I ate 2 more then I declined. I love fruits but my stomach needs something heavier to eat.
Something was glowing in the corner so I approached it. It looks like a small floating triangle so out of curiosity, I tried touching it.
I felt cold all of a sudden and saw all sorts of colors bursting all over then darkness. I closed my eyes out of fright earlier. When I opened them again, I saw that I'm inside in a different room.
It looked like a giant library of some sorts but instead of bookcases, a huge cylindrical furniture was there with an assortment of books, papers and parchments floating near it. It looked like the the sun and the planets revolving around it.
It's quite neat if you think about it. You just need one of these and voila! No more messy bookshelves.
I saw a glowing parchment and I tried to take it when suddenly everything stopped and endless amounts of books, parchments and papers started falling down. Cuss word.
To my relief, Lion suddenly appeared out of nowhere and everything went back to revolving.
His hair looked messy and his tail kept swishing around. He asked me whether I was hungry. Of course, I told him. I haven't eaten for more than a day. Oh good, he said as he waves his hands and magically, different shape colorful objects started appearing.
I took one that is purple colored and looks like an hourglass and hesitantly tasted it. It tasted.... Salty?
I made a face and Lion asked me what's wrong. It's salty! I exclaimed. What's salty? He asked curiously. This is what provides us nourishment here. We took one thing and it nourishes us the entire day.
I told him that the place where I'm from have different kinds of nourishment and we call them food. I explained to him the difference between fruits, vegetables, snacks, meals and so forth.
Fascinating, he exclaimed excitedly. You mean to say, you mixed them and use fire to change their taste?
One by one, I tried tasting the different "fruits" and explained to them the tastes and even tried combining some fruits.
We spent several hours doing this since Lion kept using magic to fetch fruits. The magic he is using is kind of interesting since there's a floating glowing orb who would keep appearing carrying several fruits.
Lion taught me how to read time and honestly I didn't understand any of the explanation until finally, he just made me a magic "tell time" sort of like a watch but only shows the two suns and the several moons.
I have so much to learn in order to survive.
I told Lion what happened to me and he just sighed and gave me a long explanation which is too much for me to remember.
But to explain it simply, I was transported here because of some sort of magical anomaly that happened between the universe I'm from and the universe I'm currently in. My previous universe has expanded too much to the point that it interfered with another universe's "area" and made a sort of vacuum that absorb magical energy (my previous universe doesn't have any magic) that rebounded and while the current universe I'm in tried to reabsorb its magical energy, it absorbed a lot of additional things, such as some interstellar objects and of course, me.
Lion doesn't understand why an "occupant" from another universe gets absorbed since I am so miniscule. He promises me that he would try to research about it and in the meantime, will try to help me adjust my life here.
Suspiciously, I asked him why he is helping me. He frowned for a while then told me that he is just fascinated with me. Otherwise, he would just destroy me as I am an "alien" in this world and might risk the safety of those living here.
Cuss word. I should be careful.
