Hey! It's not true, Ghost objected.
I raised an eyebrow and resumed talking. Are you a predator or?
Lion rudely interrupted again. He is a prey, he retorted.
Ghost narrowed his eyes and insisted on telling me that he is neither a predator nor a prey, rather, he consumes some drinks that he usually buys from Lion.
To avoid further conflict, I asked Ghost to tell me more about this world according to his view.
I could have do it for you, Lion muttered under his breath.
Ghost looked amused and told me his point of view.

His work is usually travelling to various places and write his observations, compile it into several books and submitted it to his "boss". According to him, since a lot of this world's beings are unique, he was tasked to write his observations and his boss will submit the records somewhere.
It's like a census or national statistics of some sort.
But what makes this case different from earth is that each individual is recorded only 7 times,

I'll make myself as an example, Ghost explained, as he tried to made me understand.
Ghost's birth is recorded on when he was found. No, they don't keep record when they were born like humans since they dont usually keep tract of time. Rather, they recorded how a being appeared and they consider it as "birth".
Of course, the disappearance of a being is specifically recorded as any presence of harm or risk is highly intervened. Even a prey's death is recorded on how it died. There are some beings thought to be ever living or "immortals" but are not yet proven since they are just thought to have long lives.
Occupation and purpose in life is also taken importance since they record on how each being influence the world or the flow of time. Unlike humans, they stuck to one occupation in their entire lives. Lion is some sort of wizard, since he has very high magic ability. Ghost can travel long distances and move fast in a short amount of time that's why he has chosen to do this job.
Mate/mates are recorded since any offspring that resulted in a different class from his parents are often brought to the development building as there is a belief that the parents may not properly provide the growth and development needed by the offspring. Such is the case of Ghost though his parents are not mates. Also, the unknown are not individually recorded as there's no accurate data on them yet.
Offspring is recorded as such since some beings may produce quite several beings in a short amount of time, providing risk in the resources available so usually there is a maximum limit and there is an intervention given if it has reached the maximum amount. On the other hand, there are also beings that don't give birth to offsprings naturally, requiring magic intervention in some cases. Also, giving birth to offsprings doesn't always need a mate, such as in the case of the neutral class.
As Lion already explained to me about classes, I asked Ghost about abilities. Ghost told me that each being has a unique ability. No two beings has the same ability, except if that being has died and disappeared, another young being will somehow inherit that ability no matter what class they are. Except for the unknown, he added after a thought.
Lion asked me how does a human gained ability in my previous world. I explained to them the concept of schools, apprentice and talents. Both of them looked interested and was amazed of the fact that you can have as many skills as you want and anyone can learn any skill. There's no school in this world though if you want someone to help you improve your ability, you either go the development center and stay there for some time or try to train under a higher being who have abilities quite similar to yours.

Ghost asked me how my previous world looked like and I requested Lion to create some magic to materialize my description.
He begrudgingly agreed while I grinned at him. I started to describe my previous world.
Soon, the room was filled with some sort of hologram that showed where I lived before. It didn't exactly copy how my previous world looked like but it looked intriguing enough to Ghost and Lion that they kept asking me all sort of questions such as,
You only have one moon?
Why you don't fly or float?
What are this strange contraptions that you always carry around? (Cellphone)
Why do you look the same? ( We don't)
Lion loved the fact that the color of the sun looks like the color of his hair and is confused why I told him that a lot of people avoided the sun. He doesn't understand why our sun burns the human's skin unlike the "suns" here and they have two.
What's your ability? Ghost asked with interested eyes. Even Lion stopped being annoyed with him and looked at me with fascination.
I sighed and explained to them that I'm an eye doctor.
What's an eye doctor? They both asked at the same time.

I gave them a detailed explanation about my job and they looked genuinely amazed.
You mean to tell me that you have the ability to make us see better? Ghost exclaimed.
What do you need so you can try it on us, Lion said as he waited impatiently.
I sighed and tried to describe the things that I usually use. Lion tried to replicate it using magic to no avail. After several attempts, it is clear to us that it is not possible to replicate the objects since,
1. I have difficulty in describing them
2. Lion has difficulty in imagining them
3. I'm not an engineer so I cannot properly describe on how the machine works on the inside.
Lion looked disappointed.
Ghost thought for a moment while scratching his head and said, why don't you try making one of your own imagination?
