The creature frowned at me while crossing its arms.
Pinky don't leave me! I silently groaned as Pinky and the other faceless trees slowly moved away from me.
I stare at the lion-like creature while trying to suppress my thoughts of running away.
Any actions of running away will definitely get me killed. At least I still have common sense left.
We continued to stare at one another while time seemed to move slowly. Slowly, to my horror, I'm starting to be aware on how I looked.
My hair although I tied it earlier, somehow got tangled up due to the spying I did earlier.
I washed my face earlier but because of panic, got tear streaked. Thank goodness that I didn't get runny nose because of my crying.
I didnt change my clothes. Also, I slept on the ground in the cave. Do I smell?
Now I'm flustered. His gaze is becoming more uncomfortable while I don't like being stared at, I also don't like losing the somewhat staring contest.
So here we are, staring at each other until who knows when.
Until I sneezed. And sneezed. AND SNEEZED.
CUSS WORDS. In my mind.
The lion-like creature looked fascinated as his tail began to move around. Then it spoke.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND A THING.
I don't even want to try to describe what it sounds like.
It looked surprised and somehow spoke something and a stone on one of his rings glowed.
What just happened?
I looked around and somehow nothing changed. Until it spoke again.
And I can finally understand.
Let me tell you this, whatever it did, I somehow understood what it said BUT unlike the translators we have on earth, that we can distinctly know there is a word being spoken, it's like I just instinctly know whatever was being said without understanding what was said. It is so hard to describe but after all, I am in a strange world.
It asked for my name. I told it.
Then it said it's name which is so long that as soon as it said its name, it immediately went out my mind.
Without thinking, I asked it if I can call it Lion?
It seemed to think for a couple of minutes before asking me why.
Now I'm not a very patient person but with my life on the line, I told a long detailed explanation of the animal that ended up telling him about everything. He looked fascinated and nodded at some parts of my story.
After the story ended, Lion told me that permission is granted to me to call it Lion.
To which I excitedly asked it if whether it was a male or female.
Yes, he's a male but in this world, gender is not limited to only 2, he explained. Like the triangle creature I saw earlier, they didn't have any gender at all since it won't need a mate to reproduce its descendants. Creatures like himself needed a mate to reproduce and other creatures needed several mates in order to reproduce.
At this point, there was a sudden burst of light and I can see that the two suns are appearing. Huh. So it's that late already. Lion yawned and told me that I should go with him since it's morning and that it's time for the morning creatures to go out.
Wasn't he a morning creature? I asked.
Actually, he's both a morning creature and an evening creature but he's been working a lot lately and haven't slept well for several days due to an abnormality he found in a so called machine which turned out to be me.
He told me to stay still while he muttered several magical words and I floated. Wow.
Pinky must have realized that I'm going somewhere and squealed so loudly that Lion rolled his eyes and now Pinky is floating beside me. The other faceless trees waved us goodbye with their branches while we floated away.
I held on to Pinky while trying to absorb what I see.
So many creatures flying, floating, crawling, riding, walking in all sorts of sizes and shapes around me. High rise buildings that seemed higher than the highest buildings on earth. So many all sorts of buildings floating.
Mountains further away that seemed like it floated. It looked magical.
After what seemed like several minutes of floating, we arrived at the top of a flying castle. Lion took off the spell and the 3 of us walked inside what seems to be a portal.
Fascinating.
After my eyes adjusted to the darkness, Lion waved his hands and voila, small light bubbles seemed to float around the ceiling.
Now that there's enough light inside, I can see all sorts of machines and floating devices around me. Pinky keeps following me around while I try to look at the machines.
Please don't touch anything, Lion told me as he tried to magically clear away the mess of parchments and papers.
Don't worry, I assured him as I try to find a place to sit down.
Pinky somehow grew some of his branches into a sort of a seat for me which I gratefully sat down.
Lion somehow finished clearing away the mess and the room sort of looks decent. I can see he doesn't need any some sort of chairs as he can just float around. But after seeing what Pinky did, he sighed and managed to magically create a huge cloudlike thing.
Sleep, he said. I went towards the cloudlike thing and sat down. Oh my word, it is soooo soft and warm. I laid down and closed my eyes. Pinky stood near me and finally settled down. It must be sleeping as it stop moving.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Lion floating near the ceiling with the lights starting to dim. He must be going to sleep as he kept yawning and his hair is moving slowly. His tail kept moving around until it finally settled down.
This cloud bed is so comfortable that even though I'm hungry, I soon forgot about it as I'm getting sleepy.
Last thing I remember was hearing Lion sigh before I finally fell asleep.
