That's quite a good idea, I told him.
Lion cheered up and is waiting for my instructions.
For starters, I have no idea where to start. I don't even remember the last time I had tried daydreaming. To my horror, I realized that I am a vanilla in my previous world. I forgot to enjoy myself and kept thinking pessimistic things that could happen. I was too realistic.
Maybe this could be my chance at a new life with a change of personality.
I forgot to have fun.
So with that change of thinking, I have an idea on where to start.
....
Since Ghost travels a lot, I decided to make him (with Lion's help) a telescope. I know it's not original (sorry earth inventors!) but I decided to modify it a bit since we are living in a world where there is an abundance of magic.
After several minutes, Lion managed to magically made the world's first telescope. This telescope can be carried around and can see far objects as far as the moon and can see tiny objects as well like a microscope. So there's no need to actually go near something and risk your safety.
Ghost was overjoyed with the invention and even Lion was satisfied at what he made. They took turns using the telescope and for several minutes they forgot about me.
I don't mind though as I am completely drained but somehow felt satisfied.
I don't remember what happened next since I fell asleep on Pinky. Pinky somehow made his branches into some sort of cradle and it was so comfortable.
....
When I woke up, I was covered with one of Lion's robe. I sat up and looked around the room. I didn't see Lion inside the room. I stretched my arms and yawned. Pinky must have been happy with the attention and made a soft squealing noise.
I stood up and tried to find a way out of the room. I saw some sort of a small opening in the wall and guessing that must be some sort of exit, gathered enough courage and went through it.
When I opened my eyes, I found out that I was inside a room with a bath and a huge closet full of all sorts of clothes. So I took a bath and spent some time changing my clothes. I tried to imitate how ancient Greek women wear their clothes, chiton style, and tied up my hair in a ponytail. I saw a mirror and thought that Lion must have thought about the usefulness of the mirror. I looked at my reflection and felt satisfaction.
I tried to look for another portal and went through it. Now I'm outside the castle in what looks like a garden of some sorts. I saw a wall surrounding the property and went towards the wall. I looked down and saw that the castle was floating way up the sky though there are so many assortment of buildings and mountains that are higher. The suns are still bright and high up the sky so I guessed that it must be around mid morning. It's so strange not knowing the time.
I explored the garden and saw all sorts of vines and plants with several fruits hanging. Some are planted similar to hydroponic farming on earth. I tried some fruit and surprisingly, they tasted sweet. Feeling hungry, I tried to get some more when I felt a hand prevented me from taking some more.
Lion told me with embarrassment that the fruits I'm eating are supposed to help me with mating. I felt my face turned red and stood there without moving. Lion cleared his throat and gave me a small berry like fruit that tasted like a cross between a mango and strawberry. I ate one and surprisingly, I felt full, like I've eaten several servings of food.
Lion tied his hair this time in a ponytail and wore his usual jewelry.
He looked so attractive.
He asked me if I wanted to go somewhere with him and I agreed. I wanted to see more of this world.
It turns out that he is buying all sorts of stuff needed for his magic And I don't mind accompanying him. Rather, I enjoyed looking at several stuff and other creatures. He asked me if I wanted something and I declined, since I don't know their purpose. He looked so sad that I absentmindedly blurted out that I wanted to eat something. His ears perked up and he held my hand and we floated towards another building. There are so many creatures inside the building that are eating some sort of food (?) He told me to wait in a corner while he approached a creature who looks like a huge goat with one eye.
Some creatures are holding what seems to be... Ice cream? That's a surprise. Though the ice cream looks like it's been painted with all sorts of colors and splashed with glitter and small berries.
After several minutes, Lion handed me my own ice cream. I tasted it and to my surprise, it tasted... Odd. Unlike the ice cream we had on earth, this "ice cream" is warm and has a jelly like texture. The taste is a cross between some sort of warm soup that became a solid like texture. I wanted to throw away the food but Lion was looking at me with excited eyes that I forced myself to finish everything.
Cuss word. Gross.
....
We went to another building where Lion seems to be in good terms with the elderly owner that looks like a clock with eyes. I say elderly since it is moving so slowly and squinted at the things that Lion tried to buy. It moved so slow that even I can see Lion's eyes twitching from annoyance. The final straw was when it took an object and move it near its eyes, squinting at it, only to find out that it took the wrong object.
Pssst! I signaled Lion to come to me. He sighed and went towards me. I whispered to him about something and he looked interested. He made an object out of magic and lo and behold , the world's first eyeglasses.
He gave it to the shopkeeper and suddenly the shopkeeper looked cheerful after wearing it. It still moved slowly but it doesn't squint nor look at an object close to its eyes.
The shopkeeper was so grateful to us that he gave us several stuff for free including some gorgeous cloth that I could use to make several clothes.
....
On our way home, while riding the flying canoe filled with all sorts of shopping, Lion asked me how did I know what to give to the shopkeeper.
I was stunned. To be honest, I just... Kinda know. Back on earth, I had to do several tests in order to properly diagnose and give the right kind of prescription to the patient.
Here, I sort of know what it needed. No tests to check what sort of amount of eye grade it needed. It seems exact measurement doesn't matter in this world. Like age, time or even distance. You just had to think of a solution and not overthink.
Even the telescope that Lion and I made. I don't have measurements on how long it is going to be or the number of lenses needed. It just appeared just exactly how Ghost needed.
Suddenly I find myself longing to do more.
