Akari looked at the river and thought Kanna should be approaching. Akari wondered how to deal with her. Akari didn't dare let her take her true soul, as she might discover something strange. But how could she avoid it? Perhaps, if she used the same method she used to avoid the eyes of the world consciousness, it would have worked.
Suddenly, Akari heard a noise, taking her out of her thoughts. Sango was kicking someone and asking.
"Why do you attack us?" Akari grabbed her bottle of water and walked toward her.
"They aren't Koharu. But they are beautiful, take them." Akari grimaced in contempt, and with Sango, they gave those men a beating.
Sango looked at the girl who suddenly appeared among the bushes and said.
"They were after you? It's okay now."
Inuyasha and Miroku came when they heard the noise and asked.
"What happened?" The girl was surprised when she saw Miroku, and she ran to him, hugged him, and said.
"Mr. Miroku." Akari saw Sango's face turn angry and laugh secretly.
"I'm Koharu"
"Oh, that's you, how have you been?" Koharu told them about her life, and although Akari knew the story. When she heard, Miroku asked Koharu if she would bear his child. Akari couldn't help but yell.
"Are you crazy, idiot?!"
"Beast". Sango said.
After that, they took Koharu to a nearby village to leave her at the house of the leader. Akari saw that Sango was extremely mad and shook her head secretly. She really liked the couple they make, but if she were Sango, she would have beaten up Miroku long ago.

When they were leaving, the people from the village attacked them along with poisonous insects from Naraku. Miroku and Inuyasha stayed outside, dealing with the villagers, and Sango, along with Akari, returned for Koharu.
Akari kept an eye on Koharu, and when she concentrated, she could feel that Koharu didn't have her soul in her body. Inside the house, when Koharu pointed at Kanna, Akari grabbed Sango and didn't let her attack. Akari kicked Koharu when she tried to hold them.
"Akari, what happened? Koharu, what...?" Sango asked, confused.
"She has no soul, it's probably because of that kid". Akari told her. "That mirror is strange. Be careful, Sango. I'll take care of her." Akari nocked her arrow and shot. Kanna didn't use her mirror and escaped.
Akari clicked her tongue. She was slippery. She and Sango were about to leave, but Koharu took out a knife and threatened to kill herself if they moved. Akari bit her lip. Inuyasha could be in danger, but she couldn't just ignore this girl.
At that moment, Miroku arrived, and Koharu was distracted for a second. Sango took advantage and grabbed the knife and hit her, knocking her out.
"We should leave now". Akari said.
They got on Kirara and quickly moved toward Inuyasha, but it was too late. Kanna had returned the attack, and Naraku was laughing at Inuyasha because Kikyou was the guilty one; Naraku had more powers since she gave him the Shikon fragments.
Akari shot an arrow, and Shippo shouted at her.
"Don't do it!" Akari shook her head and said.
"It's okay." Following Naraku's orders, Kanna absorbed her arrow with her mirror. Akari used more power than usual, and as she expected, the mirror started to crack. Kanna, with no other option, expelled all the souls inside it. Miroku and Sango attacked them, but they ran away.

Akari treated Inuyasha's injuries as best as she could, but he was in pretty bad shape. She didn't dare use too much spiritual power for fear of hurting him. After all, the spiritual energy and demonic energy are opposite. Sango and Miroku went for medicines, and Akari stayed with him.
But when she felt the presence of Kikyou, Akari left. Shippo, whom she was holding, asked.
"Why are we leaving Inuyasha alone?" Akari smiled and told him.
"He has someone who needs to see him." Shippo blinked, confused when he saw a light and understood.
"It was Kikyo, right? But doesn't that mean that Inuyasha is in danger, then?!" Akari chuckled.
"Don't believe all that Naraku said. Ninety percent are lies." Shippo remembered the times he had tricked them and nodded. But he was still worried.
Akari saw him like that and told him. "Don't worry, if Kikyou really didn't care about Inuyasha. She never would have come to see him." Shippo thought she was right and walked around for a while before returning.
