Inuyasha was seriously injured. So, Akari proposed creating a barrier to hide from Naraku. She never imagined those words would trigger a discussion with Inuyasha.
"Of course not. Do you want us to cowardly hide from Naraku?" Inuyasha said.
Akari's temper flared up at his words, and she answered sarcastically, "So what's your brilliant plan? Wait here like idiots for them, or go out and fight with that half-dead look you have."
Inuyasha seemed upset too and said. "Any option is better than hiding."
Akari couldn't help but yell at him. "You are being unreasonable. Why choose an option where we are clearly in greater danger just because of your stupid pride?"
Sango and Miroku, who had arrived, saw that the two were becoming increasingly unruly and intervened.
"Stop, you two. This is not the time." Miroku said.
At that moment, Inuyasha said.
"I smell a corpse." Akari furrowed her brows. Naraku had found them. Akari put up a mental barrier so that the demon couldn't read her most important thoughts. She only hoped it would work.
Quickly, they ran until they encountered demon Goshinki, who finally broke apart Tessaiga as in the original story. Inuyasha fainted from Goshinki's attack, but when he woke up, he looked like a full demon. Akari felt a shiver down her back, and she unconsciously took a step back.
Those movements caught the attention of Inuyasha, who had already finished off Goshinki. Akari didn't even think and said.
"Inuyasha, sit!" When he lifted his head, he was normal again. Akari and the others sighed in relief.

Tessaiga had to be repaired for three days, so they waited for the sword. This time, Inuyasha did not oppose the creation of the barrier, especially considering that the new moon had arrived.
"Wow". Sango said when she saw the human apparition of Inuyasha.
"It's the first time you've seen it, isn't it, Sango? We should stay alert and keep Inuyasha's secret, or he could be in danger." Miroku said
"I hate this night". Inuyasha murmured.
"Stay calm, Inuyasha, and try to rest. We should be safe at least for now." Akari said.
"I can't sleep when I have this human appearance". Inuyasha grumbles.
"Too scared to sleep, eh?" Miroku told him.
"What if I'm scared? If I were attacked at this time, I would be defenseless, wouldn't I?" Inuyasha answered back.
"At least, you are honest". Miroku said.
"He isn't wrong". Akari said, standing up.
"What happened?" Sango asked.
"Someone with a huge evil energy is attacking the barrier; it won't hold much longer". Sango and Miroku ran toward her, and they saw Kaijinbou with the sword called Tokijin.
They fought against him until Totosai arrived with Tessaiga. Inuyasha couldn't control it because it was too heavy. Even so, Kaijinbou's body was destroyed by the evil energy of Tokijin. At that moment, Sesshōmaru arrived and took Tokijin.
"Draw Tessaiga, Inuyasha, I have to verify something about you". Sesshōmaru said.
Akari furrowed her brow. This couldn't be worse. As was expected, Sesshōmaru beat Inuyasha, and he let his demon blood control him again. Totosai realized something was wrong, and he distracted Sesshōmaru so that they could escape with Inuyasha.

Afterwards, Naraku's castle suddenly disappeared, and they met Kohaku.
"He is acting, isn't he?" Inuyasha said.
"We don't know, but that isn't the real problem, is it?" Miroku sighed.
"It's probably a trap". Akari said.
"Yes, and here's the proof". Kagura was approaching at high speed along with several other demons. Akari went for Kohaku, and because Sango asked, they left.
Akari was very alert around him, so when he suddenly attacked her, she easily avoided it. Akari drew her sword and started to fight with him. He was very fast and strong, but Akari didn't let him hurt her.
So when Sango, Miroku, and Inuyasha arrived, Sango wasn't as devastated as in the original story. Akari looked at her and said.
"Sango, it doesn't matter how much Naraku wants to kill us with Kohaku. As long as we don't let him. Also, I did not sense any murderous intent on his part."
Sango seemed heartbroken, so Akari told her.
"He still has salvation, believe me".
"Mmm, I believe you, Akari, thank you".
