Inuyasha left the next day, and he acted normally. But Akari realized that he wasn't as close to her anymore. Of course, he worried about her; however, he was probably trying to think of her as just a friend. His heart chose Kikyou. Akari felt relieved, No matter how the world consciousness didn't like her attitude toward the relationship between Inuyasha and the reincarnation of Kikyou; it wouldn't do anything if Inuyasha didn't want it.
They left the village and heard rumors of the place where the Shikon jewel came from. They advanced as quickly as they could, as Akari asked. Even so, they arrived late. All the people were already dead. Nonetheless, they met with Myoga the flea who guided them to the place where the corpse of Midoriko was. Akari couldn't help but admire her, and only when Inuyasha reminded her it was time to go did Akari look away and followed them.
As expected, Sango, who was being deceived by Naraku, attacked them. She was determined to eliminate Inuyasha. Sango was probably the character whom Akari identified with most. Perhaps it was because of her bond with her brother. Akari couldn't just ignore her, covered in blood, still fighting and saying.
"Stop! You are going to die! Inuyasha is not the guilty one". Sango ignored her. Akari understood her. So she said to Inuyasha.
"Remove the fragment, Inuyasha! It's on her back." Inuyasha felt Sango was distracted and grabbed the fragment in that second.
"Now I see, she wasn't stopping with those kinds of injuries." Akari quickly ran to them and tried to stop the bleeding with her spiritual powers. Maybe because Inuyasha was present, Akari didn't have any punishment.
She was in pretty bad shape and only recovered her mind when they were in front of Naraku. Just in time to hear Naraku confessing he was the guilty one. Sango tried to stand up, but she didn't even move. So she observed him and found it was puppet art. She told Inuyasha and Miroku, and they finally defeated them. Sango couldn't take it anymore and collapsed.
They returned to Exterminator Village for Sango's recovery. The third day after Sango fainted, she woke up and went to the graves of her relatives.
"Did you make the graves?" Sango asked.
"Yeah."
"Thanks." Both were silent for a while until Akari said.
"If you want to avenge everyone, you should come with us. Naraku is not just after the Shikon fragments; he has a special hatred for Inuyasha. So..."
"It means Naraku is coming anyway, right?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, I'm going with you." Sango sighed and asked. "And are you here because of the Shikon Jewel?" Akari nodded.
"Call your friends, I will tell you why the Shiko Jewel was born."
They all headed to the cave while Sango told them. "Do you see the mummy inside the cave? She was a priestess. Countless demons merged into one to defeat her. In ancient times, when the number of demons increased, a priestess called Midoriko appeared. She used an attack that drove out demons' souls and purified them. She had enough power to purify hundreds of demons at once.
She could purify all four souls that exist. It is called 'Shikon'. Midoriko learned how to use it during her battles; that's why the demons were afraid of her. Then, to kill her, they needed a very powerful evil soul. The demons took advantage of a man who secretly loved Midoriko and possessed him.
The battle continued for seven days and seven nights. Midoriko was exhausted, and her body was eaten. With the last of her power, she seized the demon's soul and her soul was forced to take it in. Midoriko and the demon died. And the clustered soul that remains is the Shikon Jewel.
But even though they had been destroyed, inside the jewel, the fight between Midoriko and the demons' souls still continues. It depends on who possesses the jewel whether it becomes corrupted or purified."
"In that way, it seems we're being manipulated by the jewel, aren't we? I don't care. I will break that destiny, no matter what." Akari chuckled when she heard him. It was fun. Even more so when the person who said that was Inuyasha. But he wasn't wrong. The most important thing is to break our imposed destiny.

They were all traveling without major problems until Miroku's Wind Tunnel was injured. Akari had been watching him, but she couldn't even see the moment he got hurt. Miroku went to his mentor without saying anything while they were searching for him. When they finally found him, he looked quite bad.
"What are you doing, Miroku?" Inuyasha said with anger. Meanwhile, he destroyed the demons surrounding Miroku. Immediately, Akari moved toward him and tried to purify the drug they had given him, saying.
"You should have said something before leaving. We were worried." Miroku was moved; they all came for him.
"You are not welcome here." The monk who raised Miroku said.
Miroku looked at Inuyasha and told him. "Please, don't kill that person." Inuyasha clenched his teeth, but he knew that the priest was important to Miroku, so he tried to knock down the monk without hurting him. However, he was stronger than he looked, and Inuyasha was being delayed by him.
Sango moved toward Akari and Miroku and asked.
"What happened to Inuyasha?"
"He can't hurt that man. He is probably being controlled. We need to find a way to release him." Myoga, the flea, who no one knew when he had arrived, said.
"The demon who controlled him should be near; they usually have a vase since they control people. We must find it first." Sango nodded, and she moved away with Kirara.
Akari didn't dare to leave Miroku. She didn't want to see him get more injured, and the enemies were coming. As she feared, the demons Naraku had sent were already here. Miroku moved away from her and tried to use his Wind Tunnel.
Akari clenched her teeth and pushed him hard to the ground, forcing him to close it.
"Don't do anything stupid and stay there!" Akari shouted at him, as she stood in front of him and drew her sword.
Akari watched the demons coming straight toward them and closed her eyes, blocking out all the noise and screams around her. She concentrated on the words she had heard from Sango and Miroku. Souls are made up of Courage (Aramitama), Friendship (Nigimitama), Knowledge (Kushimitama), and Love (Sakitama). They all make up a single being. Everything is made up of these, from stones and plants to humans. Observe them, observe what they are made of, and destroy them.
Akari imbued her sword with her spiritual power and felt as if tiny sparkling diamonds were interconnected with each other. She felt them everywhere, but focused on those that gave off negative energy, and realized that if she cut those connecting threads, she could destroy them.
She thought that, and she did it; she swung her sword and cut them. When Akari opened her eyes, she saw how the demons in front of her had turned to nothing. They didn't make any sound because even their souls didn't remain.
Inuyasha felt a shiver all over his body when he saw that. What kind of power was that? He was astonished until he heard someone coughing. Akari covered her mouth as she tried to stop coughing, but she couldn't. Akari was choking on her own blood and couldn't stop coughing. Her last thought before she fainted was that she had probably gone overboard.
