Akari didn't delay her return to Inuyasha's time. Exactly a week later, she came back. However, Akari was surprised to find that the events of the original story had already progressed. When she arrived, Inuyasha and Naraku had already met, and Inuyasha was searching for Kikyo.
Akari thought it could be because she didn't intervene between them, that could make the desire of Inuyasha to see Kikyou stronger than in the original story. Then, Akari didn't wait any longer and located the part of her soul that was with Kikyou. Akari easily went through Kikyou's barrier.
When Kikyou felt her presence, she opened her eyes and looked at her with hatred. Akari saw her reaction and rolled her eyes. She had done nothing yet.
"I hate you!" Kikyou shouted.
"Hahaha, don't worry, the feeling is mutual." Kikyou was surprised, as she hadn't expected that answer. But then she said.
"How dare you say that?! I am the only one who has the right to hate you. Because of you, even if I die, my soul will never rest as long as you remain alive."
Akari knew she was feeling a lot of pain, but it didn't mean she was guilty of her suffering. Probably no one was as innocent as her. When she thought this, Akari also began to get angry, and all her complaints exploded at that moment.
Akari grabbed Kikyou by the neck and yelled. "That 'you are the only one who has the right to hate.' Don't give me that crap. Who do you think you are?! You don't know shit about me! The fact that you died unjustly does not mean that everyone else should revolve around you. You're not the only one who suffers!!" Akari felt the veins in her throat swell with her cries and anger. She even thought for a moment about attacking Kikyou regardless of the consequences, but when she sensed Inuyasha's presence approaching, she managed to calm down.
Akari took a deep breath and let go of Kikyou, saying. "The next time you dare to blame me for all your problems, you are going to regret it, Kikyou." Akari hid her presence and waited where Kikyou and Inuyasha couldn't see her.
Although she had lost control for a moment. She had not forgotten her mission. Even though she really didn't think it was a bad idea for Inuyasha and Kikyou to go together to the underworld. At least, they could be together, as they always wanted, and she could be released from that crazy woman.
When Akari heard a loud noise, she knew it was time. Akari ran toward them, and before Kikyou could react. She kicked Inuyasha's face and told him. "Wake up, Inuyasha! If you want to die with your beloved, I won't stop you. But at least you must take revenge on the one who separated you, and made both of you end up like this in the first place, Naraku! Do you forget that?" Akari offered him her hand, and he grabbed it.
When Kikyou wanted to intervene, Akari made her soul separate from her body. Kikyou looked at her as if she wanted to kill her. Akari clicked her tongue and said. "Kikyou, it won't be too late for you to take Inuyasha with you to hell once you defeat Naraku. Just keep that in mind". Akari turned around and walked away as she said. "Well, my role is over. You should finish talking alone."
When Akari left the barrier, she bumped into Miroku. When he saw her, he was surprised and asked.
"Are you okay? When did you come back? Was Inuyasha with you inside?" Akari nodded and told him.
"I'm fine, I just arrived, but I saw Inuyasha in trouble, so I helped him. Don't worry, he is okay, he is with Kikyou." Miroku seemed to understand. But then, he asked.
"So, is he going to come back? I mean, he will go after her, won't he?" Akari thought for a moment and said.
"Yeah, that's possible, but maybe not yet. They still have many misunderstandings, they must resolve before they can stay together again. And with Naraku in the middle, it won't be easy either. Anyway, we should wait for now."
When Miroku saw Akari heading to the village, he followed her. After all, Akari was right. Regardless of what Inuyasha wants to do, they should not intervene, as she was the person Inuyasha loved most, even though she had probably changed.
The next morning, Inuyasha returned to the village. When Akari saw his depressed appearance, she thought that he probably couldn't clear things up with her. At the same time, Inuyasha rested a little bit more. Madame Kaede finished teaching her the basic skills of a priestess.
"I have no more to teach you, Akari. Unlike me, you are so talented, like my older sister. It will be up to you to become stronger from now on." Akari nodded and sincerely thanked her for her help.
Akari looked into the distance and thought it was time to see how strong she really was.
