The moment the three entered into the building, they were greeted by three guards.
Jane analyzed them, and just as she had guessed, they weren't martial warriors.
Meanwhile, subconsciously, Sunless could faintly gauge their strength, noting that they weren't strong enough to faze him.
The two guards instantly tensed up and simultaneously placed their hands on the baton at their waists, staring at what seemed to be robbers.
"State your purpose for coming here and… take off your masks!"
His words made Sonia's heart skip a beat.
They were really doing it… they were attacking a government official!
The thought made a thrill surge through her and also made her subconsciously feel a little fearful.
Sonia had always been one who walked something akin to a path of righteousness.
Being a nurse, she prioritized everyone's lives, both good and evil. It was something taught to her by her mother before she seemingly vanished.
As such, despite all that had happened so far, she still prioritized the lives of others, sometimes over hers.
Unfortunately for her, the siblings didn't seem to think along those lines.
"This is a robbery and assassination. Place your hands up in the air where I can see them." Jane's sweet voice spread into everyone's ears and one could sense the excitement in her words.
Sunless was speechless at his sister's mannerism. It seemed she had changed drastically overnight!
Still, what he didn't know was that Jane's heart was as hard as stone and it had been a very, very long time since she experienced happiness.
She was just acting her age and trying to have fun with Sunless to make up for all the times they hadn't been together.
To her, this was all she ever wanted!
On the other hand, a stupefied expression appeared on the faces of both guards as they heard Jane's words.
Then, they burst into laughter, not taking her words to heart.
They finally retrieved their baton and the first man glared at her while narrowing his eyes.
"I'll only ask you once to state your reason for coming here!" As he spoke, he slowly approached Jane, not noticing the intense killing intent emanating from her eyes.
When the guard finally reached Jane's location, he raised his baton high as though he was ready to strike her at any moment.
Staring at her frail, slender appearance, he grinned wickedly and stared into her eyes.
Jane rolled her eyes and muttered a curse under her breath before punching forward.
Bang!
A punch instantly exploded outward and struck in the direction of the guard.
The guard seemed to have expected the punch and raised the baton to parry it, only to realize that the punch had slipped past him.
"How fast!" The guard could only draw a sharp breath with this thought in mind as the punch struck him in the stomach, sending him flying.
The noise attracted everyone's attention.
Naturally, this was a busy place and there were more than fifteen people gathered around.
They seemed to be here to do some menial activities, like consulting the office head.
Everyone finally noticed the guard who was sent flying. He crashed into the counter ahead and his eyes rolled to the back of his head before he passed out cold.
The other guards stared dumbfoundedly at the outstretched slender hand that was retreating.
Jane cast a smooth glance at him and he felt a cold dread appear in his heart.
"Shit!" he cursed and tried to rush back but Jane's slender hand had already arrived in front of his face, punching him and sending him flying once more.
Sunless noticed more than twenty bubbles gather around and his eyes lit up.
Instantly, he approached the location of the bubbles and casually stepped on them while acting like he was glancing around the place.
On the other hand, Jane glanced at the crowd that were looking at them with a panicked expression.
"Everyone get on the ground and place your hands behind your back!"
A few hastily obeyed the order while there were some who hesitated and instead glanced at themselves, hoping there was a hero in disguise amongst them.
Besides, they were also wondering why a lady would be robbing them.
A few fell speechless at the thought and it was exactly for this reason that they were hesitant.
After retrieving the few martial strength attributes, Sunless' strength had increased once more.
With that, he shifted his attention to the remaining who refused to lie down.
Raising his cold gaze in their direction, his slightly deep voice reverberated, "didn't you hear what she said?"
A chill spread outwards instantly and without hesitation they finally relented and lay down on the ground.
Sunless stared at them and nodded.
Jane rolled her eyes slightly and walked casually towards a door at the corner.
Sunless followed after her, and Jane cast an apologetic glance towards the people who were lying on the ground before hastening her steps and rushing together with the siblings.
Bang!
The door was kicked open by Jane, causing a slightly fat man to stagger slightly before falling onto a cushion located two meters from the door.
The man quickly made a gesture of surrendering. "All the money is located in the cupboard, please spare my life!"
He shouted with all his might and tears brimmed in his eyes, making him look like he might cry at any moment.
His expression was a little funny and it made Jane giggle.
Sunless noticed a few bubbles coming out from the man and he could tell he was preparing an attack.
Jane also seemed to have noticed it.
She let out a sigh and shrugged, then her right hand moved like the wind.
A chill spread outwards and within moments the man's head was nowhere to be seen.
"There's nothing important here, let's go to the next location."
The main reason Jane came here was that this man was colluding with demons from the Spirit Continent and because of him and a few others, a disaster would occur a few years later.
Now, she felt she was putting an end to that terrible crisis before it even started.
Feeling a little heroic, she grinned.
Sunless also nodded and picked the strength attributes his sister dropped along with some more attributes.
The man dropped about five while his sister only dropped two.
It seemed that as time passed, the attributes that his sister dropped lessened considerably.
