Sunless didn't know the lady's name since it wasn't announced, but if his guess wasn't wrong then…
"You are the leader of the Cloud Wind Gang!"
The lady's smile deepened a little and she nodded, "Nice of you to remember me, Sunless."
She faintly sensed Sunless' pressure and was shocked to notice that he had become a martial warrior.
She didn't understand why his aura was a little weak, but the martial warrior intent couldn't be faked.
Glancing at him, the curiosity in her eyes increased drastically, and she turned to the ladies behind him.
One of them had a subtle, hidden pressure, and her face bore similarities to Sunless' handsome features, although she was more beautiful.
Her gaze lingered between the two and she began to make some connections in her heart.
Then, she noticed Sonia and her gaze returned to Sunless.
After seeing that he had scrutinized them, Sunless opened his mouth to speak,
"What are you doing here?"
The lady put on a calm expression and licked her lips, "My name is Jennifer,"
She extended her hand for a handshake.
Sunless shook her hand and a puzzled expression appeared on his face.
The two separated from the handshake and Jennifer continued, "I have a proposal for you."
Sunless narrowed his eyes slightly at her words.
He pondered for a moment, waiting for her to continue. Seeing that she was still silent, he uttered with a neutral expression,
"As long as it's beneficial to me, I don't see why not."
Sunless had engaged in all sorts of work over the past few years that he had lost count.
Whether it was something illegal or not, as long as he could do it secretly without endangering his sister's life, Sunless had no second thoughts about it.
Although he had become a martial warrior and no longer needed such work, Jennifer too was a martial warrior, so Sunless didn't think she would bring a normal offer to him.
Jennifer broke into a smile at his words, "Cute," she muttered, then continued, "It involves an exploration in the Spirit Continent."
The moment her words faded, Sunless and Sonia's eyes widened simultaneously, while Jane narrowed her eyes slightly and replied coldly,
"To head to the Spirit Continent, you need the permission of the government and a few high level figures."
Jennifer was briefly startled that Jane knew all this, but her calm expression was maintained as she replied without a change in tone,
"I received a pass from the Third District Head to go to the Spirit Continent for an exploration along with a few new interns and some army officials."
Her words caused Jane to freeze in her tracks, stunned. She knew it was extremely difficult to receive a pass.
Either Jennifer knew the Third District Head on a deeper level, or there was something else at play here.
She frowned, not liking either of them.
Before she could speak up again, Sunless interrupted.
"What's in it for me if I come with you?"
Jennifer's lips curled into a smile as she said,
"Depending on how much you contribute, you would be rewarded with the corresponding elemental stone."
"Elemental stone?" Sunless asked in puzzlement, not understanding this term at all.
The world of martial warriors was still foreign to him, so it was understandable that he didn't know much about it.
Sunless waited for her reply, and Jennifer didn't keep him in suspense for too long.
Her lips parted to speak and she explained gently, "Elemental stones are used to increase one's control over the particular element they possess.
"There are many elemental stones and they come in various forms, like the fire elemental stone, water elemental stone, wind elemental stone and so on. A few of them belong under the category of basic elemental stones while there are other rare elemental stones, like the lightning elemental stone which can only be formed under certain circumstances, the ice elemental stone, void elemental stone and many more."
It was clear that Jennifer didn't want to go deeper into the details, but Sunless could roughly understand her.
And… it had once more opened a new world of martial warriors to him.
At least now, he knew that they wielded elemental powers.
Still…
Sunless frowned slightly.
'I doubt the elemental stones would be of much use to me. I can obtain attributes which would drastically increase the overall strength of my elements, so having an elemental stone would make no difference to me!'
In short, this wasn't a fitting reward to Sunless.
He shook his head at Jennifer.
"Do you have something else to offer?"
"Brother!" Jane called out from the side. Even she knew the importance of elemental stones.
Sunless froze briefly and felt the urge to slap himself. How could he forget that his sister was also a martial warrior?
His sister could use the elemental stones even if he couldn't.
Before Jennifer could reply, he smoothly interjected,
"On second thought, the elemental stones are a perfect reward."
Jennifer's furrowed brows finally relaxed and Jane let out a sigh of relief.
Only Sonia was glancing at the three exchanging words with a confused expression.
It was as though the three were speaking in a language she couldn't understand.
She hesitated for a moment on whether to seek an explanation or not.
'But I'm not a martial warrior, so asking them would only make me look stupid.'
Sonia felt disappointed internally but tried to cheer herself up.
Meanwhile, Jennifer extended her hand once more.
"I'm glad you accepted the offer. I'll send you a letter to come and meet me at the gang. There we'll discuss more on where we're exploring in the Spirit Continent."
Sunless nodded at her words, having no issues with it.
He shook her hand in return and glanced at her curiously, "Why did you choose to call me? You could have easily gotten a martial warrior somewhere else…"
Jennifer smiled and licked her lips seductively, then leaned closer to Sunless until her lips were almost touching his ear.
Sunless gulped lightly as he could faintly glimpse her cleavage peeking out from her shirt.
"Because… I… like you, Sunless…"
