Chapter 17 - Going Viral

"This… what are we seeing? Can… CAN A FUCKING CAR MOVE LIKE THAT?" one of the police officers shouted loudly, staring at the car with a speechless expression.

The sight didn't last long as the car swiftly moved through the cars and vanished into the sea of vehicles.

Besides, the police officers were too speechless to even chase after the car.

And with the dense clusters of cars which they had to scale through…

It was clear that they had lost sight of Sunless and the others.

Still, the sight of a car moving like a snake had been imprinted into their minds, causing their brains to feel like exploding.

There were a few who caught the video live and instantly, the news spread through social media…

The video soon went viral and the social media world entered into a state of shock.

Sunless didn't care much about the situation and instead focused on driving at the highest speed he could.

The car soon sped through the location and in the blink of an eye, Sunless had left the street.

He drove them to an abandoned building far from the hospital and finally slowed the car to a stop.

The moment he stopped the car, Sonia opened the door and the sound of retching echoed quietly.

Jane also stepped out, staggering as her pale face showed signs of dizziness.

Sunless calmly stepped out from the vehicle after taking a look at the unconscious driver. He was frowning as though he was having a bad dream.

Shaking his head, he came toward his sister's location.

"Are you alright?"

Jane immediately glared at Sunless. "Why would you drive so crazily like that? Where did you even learn to drive like a mad man?"

Although Jane sounded furious, Sunless could tell she wasn't truly angry at him.

Shrugging, he replied, "I told you about it before even making my move. It's your fault for not listening to me."

Jane immediately pouted in annoyance and turned her face away.

Unable to resist, Sunless pinched her cheeks and laughed.

"Sorry about that, sis," he replied, then thought for a moment and said with a grin, "but brace yourself, because the next ride might just get crazier!"

At his words Jane turned to stare at Sunless dumbfoundedly.

Could anything be more crazy than moving through cars like a snake?

She doubted it… as even she had never seen anyone drive like that.

Sunless however just shook his head and didn't explain.

How could he tell his sister that his stats were currently displaying…

[Expert stage driver profession (2/500)]

After gathering 498 more attributes, he would finally see what was above being an expert-stage driver…

If as an expert he could make the car have some semblance of life… then at the stage above…

Sunless was unable to control his excitement and anticipation toward his future prospects.

That aside… he was pleased to know what was above the adept stage.

'And there seems to be a qualitative change at the expert stage.'

The thought made Sunless pleased.

He turned to the corner of his eyes and noticed Sonia staggering out from the car.

Suddenly Sunless felt a sense of pity toward her as he noticed her dishevelled and haggard expression that seemed like she had gone through hell and back.

The moment she stepped out she seemed short of breath and subconsciously staggered a bit more. Sunless stretched and got hold of her, his hand smoothly wrapping around her slender waist.

"Are you alright?" Sunless asked with a worried expression.

"How… could… I be?" Sonia muttered under her breath.

Sunless let out a light sigh and before Sonia could say anything more, he smoothly picked her up.

Since Sunless' strength had increased drastically, he didn't feel much holding her. In fact, he even felt he could go on for hours.

"Let's get a taxi and head back," Sunless said to his sister.

When she nodded, he smoothly walked with Jane and headed in the direction of the main road not too far away.

A few moments later they alighted a taxi. Thankfully, the man didn't recognise Sunless…

Few hours after Sunless left, three cars rode into the abandoned house.

The cars opened and a group of officers clad in black clothes stepped out.

In the lead was a young man who looked to be in his thirties, with short dark hair and a pair of glasses on his eyes.

The transparent lenses reflected the sight of the car as he approached.

In the blink of an eye they had arrived before the car.

The driver was still passed out in front.

"Wake him up…" the man gestured toward two officers, then walked to the back.

At the back of the car he rummaged for a few seconds, ignoring the puke at the side, and found something…

Instantly, his eyes gleamed with a strange light as the details reflected on his glasses.

"Sonia huh… interesting…" the man muttered, reading the information from the ID card in front of him.

He put it into his pocket and turned to the driver whose eyes were rolling about, unable to focus. It was clear he still felt dizzy.

"Tell me all the information I need to know."

Unaware of the present situation, Sunless and the two returned back to the hospital. Along the way, Sonia finally managed to recollect herself.

Entering into the hospital, they walked back to their hospital ward.

Just as they were about to enter, Jane's eyes sharpened as she halted Sunless…

"Brother… someone's inside."

Sunless narrowed his eyes and said solemnly, "Okay. Step behind, I'll handle this…"

After he finished speaking, he gestured for Jane to step aside.

Then, he opened the door calmly, and walked inside.

His eyes landed on a woman who was sitting calmly, with a cool expression on her face.

She felt familiar to Sunless and after racking his brain for a bit, he finally recalled where he had seen her…

"Its you…"

"Its nice to meet you, Sunless…" the woman stood up warmly and approached him, with a smile that seemed to entrance one.

She glanced at the two behind Sunless with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
