Chapter 14 - Hell (14)

Remember what he said about nothing on this island being able to get through his durability? Well, he lied.

As he laid on the floor, feeling his bones shatter, a gash running across his chest, he puked some blood.

As for why he was so gravely injured—well...

"Gababababababa, you Lunarien sure are durable," Broggy would say, setting his axe down. Fuck, he felt like his bones were screaming at him.

"That hurt."

"Gababababababa! Your durability is tough, I must admit, but it doesn't make you invulnerable. Using Haki, I was able to damage you. You sure work amazing as a punching bag—Gababababababa!"

Wow. Saying that as if it was something he should feel prideful about—the fact that he was a glorified punching bag.

Oh well, it didn't matter.

He forced his body to get up.

"I am not done yet." His wings flapped behind him, his fist coated in Haki, and he rushed toward Broggy at full speed, his flames off and everything.

Broggy, seeing him come, would smile.

"That's the spirit, little warrior."

As they met in the middle, of course the giant's fist was much bigger than his own, but he didn't care—he kept pushing. Broggy would smile before punching the boy.

The boy's Haki coating gave out... shit.

Body Flicker.

As Broggy pushed where the boy used to be, he vanished, appearing on the man's hand. He rushed toward the man, his fist coated in Haki.

He could do this.

Broggy, seeing him come toward him, would smile.

As the boy punched the giant in the head, he was stunned—seeing Haki on the giant's forehead.

Fuck.

He was smacked away as if he were a bug.

As Broggy attempted that, he would realize something as he looked down where he had smacked.

"Water!?" He was confused.

He was correct—this was the boy's Water Clone Jutsu at work. A certain distance away from the giant, the boy quickly went through some hand seals.

"Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu."

Spewing out twenty bullets toward the direction of the giant.

Broggy would lift up his arm, coating it in Haki, blocking the boy's attack.

"Such tricks will not work on me, little warrior," the giant would say.

"I know."

That was the reply he got as the boy appeared in front of him, his fist cocked.

"The point was to distract you." With all of his might, he punched the giant square in the face.

The blow was strong; however, it only forced the giant to take one step back.

That was enough for Kairo, as on the floor a clone could be seen.

"Earth Style: Mud Slide."

Turning the ground beneath the giant into mud, causing it to slip and fall on its back.

This was what he thought would happen—instead...

KABOOM

The boy was slammed into the floor as a fist landed on his back, causing him to just lay there. Being slammed into the floor was no joke—he felt as if every bone in his body was broken.

"FUCK," he groaned.

"You use quite a lot of tricks to fight," the giant would say.

"From now on, little warrior, you are forbidden from using those tricks during my training camp."

"Heh?"

He was confused—why couldn't he use his powers?

"I will teach you the way of Haki and show you that I am by far the better warrior."

Oh, okay. Good to know.

"It can't be that bad?"

He lied.

He was forced to endure so much brutal training, getting his shit rocked daily, and he couldn't use his flames as Broggy said he would get too dependent on them. He also couldn't use his jutsu.

It was just straight boxing, and since Dorry also wanted to prove he was the better fighter, every three-ish months or so he would switch teachers—each of them teaching him something different. While Broggy focused on his physical strength and small Haki mastery, Dorry taught him swordsmanship and how to coat a weapon in Haki.

Both of them had him train until he couldn't anymore. One thing they had in common was the fact that they both wanted the flames off during training as they didn't want him to be reliant on them. Needless to say, his defense was buffed beyond limits for this shit.

They had him swim around the island like sixty fucking times, punching the wall over and over again. He barely had time to finish his house; the small project that was his home would be stretched out until the end of the year.

Fuck—they drained the heck out of him.

Sometimes he would have to fight those monsters without his jutsu. Those he practiced alone, and when they found out about Shadow Clone Jutsu... the basics of Haki were drilled into him further. He could technically be in two places at once.

As for how the fuck it happened, they said something about his Haki being split in half and given a semi-physical form. Which was exactly what it was, anyway.

The word "break" was not something he knew now. It seemed like since they knew he was a Lunarien, they didn't hold back anymore, and slowly his mentality of "I am invulnerable behind my flames" vanished.

Fuck.
