As the year ended, finishing his one year on this island, he thought he had achieved his goal.
{Quest completed!}
Objective:
Achieve Basic Haki mastery (you know, "can feel danger" level, not "beat Kaido" level) {Completed}
Get a grip on your Lunarien skills without burning yourself to death {Completed}
Make tangible progress with the Tobirama template (water jutsu without drowning, Flying Raijin without teleporting into a wall) {Completed}
Build base durability so you don't fold like wet cardboard when your flames are off {Completed}
Become competent with a sword-like weapon (wooden stick counts... for now) {Completed}
He sighed a bit. He finished the quest. Oh, thank the heavens and everything holy with them.
As for his progression with the Tobirama stuff, he was quite proficient in water ninjutsu, and he could wall walk. Walking on water was a work in progress, though he was sure he could get there eventually.
But for now, his ass mostly focused on his Haki control — which was going excellent, mind you.

His Haki was better than before; he could now move it around his body as easily as breathing. And since he battled with giants practically daily, his Haki bloomed often. Something he noticed was that even when he barely practiced a skill, if his Haki went up, that skill also improved.
He didn't know who he could scale his Haki to. He knew he was like a Doflamingo victim, but he would 100% beat Smoker, while an Admiral would 100% smoke him. He didn't know much about the One Piece power system — where the fuck did that even place him?
Oh well, he didn't mind now.
He was quite strong. Looking at his fist, he knew he was strong.
As he pondered a bit...
Oh yeah, he was like 18% done with the Tobirama stuff, wasn't he?
He thought deeper, diving into his mind, where some memories began flooding in — memories of swordsmanship, sealing tags, sealing in general, and some very vague memory about the Flying Raijin.
No bother. He knew the Flying Raijin seal from memory; he had even practiced it... he was a weeb, do not judge him. His hand was steady enough, so he could do it.
His calligraphy skills might not be the best, though. Speaking of which, he had made paper, so he could in fact practice it. Oh well — this was something new to train between the abuse he received from the two giants.
"Gegyagyagyagya!" D
"Gabababababa!" B
The two giants laughed their asses off.
"Little warrior, you sure have made some progress. If we were in Elbalf, you would be considered a prodigy," Broggy said as he stopped laughing.
"I thank you for the compliment," Kairo replied with a smile.
"Gegyagyagyagya!"
"Your skills are almost on par with us. Your swordsmanship sure has improved a lot over the years," the giant said, looking at the boy — who had what seemed to be a sword on his back.
If you looked closely, you could see that both Dorry's and Broggy's weapons were chipped. It wasn't that bad, but the metal missing from those chips was the exact length of the metal on the boy's sword.
He also seemed to have an axe — a big-ass axe — and a sword, both gifts from his masters.
When he fought Dorry, he used the sword; when it was Broggy's turn, it was the axe. He was getting quite good at this.
"The way you flow Haki through your weapon, however, still needs work. There's a gap of two seconds. In a real battlefield, such a gap means death. Do you understand?" Broggy said, looking dead serious. The boy nodded his head.
"Good. Now, let us see your skill with the axe. Use the mighty Stormbreaker and show me what you've got."
To that, Dorry laughed.
"Gegyagyagyagya!"
"Broggy, I never took you as the type to use excuses to fight someone."
"I am not making excuses. He is a fine warrior. It's only fitting we clash blades — after all, I taught him the best."
"Who said that?"
"I did."
The two giants began to argue once more.
"How about I fight you both?"
They both looked at him as if he was crazy.
"Little warrior, are you sure this is what you wish?"
"You taught me that Haki only blooms during battle. I wish to get stronger, and what better way for a warrior to get stronger than battle?" he said with a smile, looking like a viking.
"Gegyagyagyagya!" D
"Gabababababa!" B
They both laughed and grabbed their weapons.
"Seems like the little warrior has grown into a warrior."
"It's only fitting we give it our all. Holding back would mean dishonor in this sacred duel."
