Chapter 20 - Goodbye friend(20)

The boy was 18 now, yes, he was growing even more. This was his third year on the island. His Haki was stagnating a bit, like sure, but he didn't mind, he simply continued working hard.

Working on his other skills instead, he had been tending to the giants for a while. Their wounds took a while to heal but luckily he was a surgeon, so he could do this shit quite easily.

He yawned a bit, he was so damn tired.

He was strong — the giants even said he was one of the strongest people they ever fought. They told him to keep grinding and keep getting stronger. He knew he was getting stronger, but right now, he didn't have that desire.

He watched as the two giants embarked on their big-ass boat.

His hand clenched at his side like a fist, he was shaking.

"Gegyagyagyagya!"

"Gabababababa!"

Dorry would laugh a bit before saying:

"Why cry for? It is not like we are dead."

"I know, it still doesn't help that I will be alone now that you two are gone," he would say, feeling a bit lost. He had gotten used to the giants — now that they were gone, he didn't know what to do anymore.

They were like his only friends, to be honest.

"It's not that... I just didn't think 3 years would pass by so fast," he would say, looking at them. He didn't think it would be so fast; he thought that only a while had passed since he first landed on this island.

Memories would play in his mind — memories of them enjoying wine, memories of him being trained by them, memories of them teaching him what it meant to be a warrior, of gifting him weapons.

He usually didn't have such bonds with people. He didn't think he would have developed such a bond so easily in this world. He thought that maybe, since he reincarnated here, he would only see them as characters in a story and not have such deep bonds with them.

He was hoping this was it, yet probably due to him not watching much of One Piece, or him just being an empathetic person in general, seeing them leave made his eyes go red.

He wanted to cry.

"Do not cry, warrior. We are only returning to Elbaf, you may visit us anytime," Broggy would say with a smile.

"Really?" He seemed hopeful.

"Gegyagyagyagya!"

"Gabababababa!"

"Yes you can, we will make sure to treat you to the best booze there. We can drink like true warriors," Broggy would say laughing.

As for those confused as to why the giants were leaving, well, you see, they had remembered why they were clashing for, and Broggy had won.

Barely — and I do mean barely — only by the smallest of margins.

Plus, they felt like even if they didn't decide a true winner, they had raised a truly powerful fighter.

Kairo was a dangerous fella. By the end of his stay on this island, his ass would be like Yonko Commander tier. He was finna smurf through the first side of the Grand Line, and with his jutsu, he could survive someone above his tier and escape with his life since he possessed a skill not many people had. Not only could he teleport, but at the same time, he could fly, and if by some miracle he found someone who could move at the speed of light, well, he could just swim beneath the ocean. He could hold his breath for a long time.

Roughly an hour. Lunarian DNA kept carrying the fuck out of him — adapting to any environment was such a neat trick — and being able to swim as fast as some predators in the ocean, like sharks and Sea Kings, he was quite hard to track underwater.

So yes, the boy was working on his perfect annoying build, so he could truly be a shinobi.

"Get stronger, eat plenty of meat, and let us meet again in Elbaf," Dorry would say, waving his sword — yes, he had a sword, the boy had repaired it.

The boy raised his sword too, alongside his axe.

Making an oath at this moment.

"I swear, I am going to become a powerful pirate — a true warrior of Elbaf." As those words left his lips, he would pour a shit-ton of Haki into his weapon.

Dorry and Broggy would smile. As their boat left the shore of the island, a massive beast could be seen, threatening to swallow them whole, yet they kept going forward without any fear for their own lives.

He poured his Haki alongside his Conqueror's Haki into his weapon. This oath to himself, he would keep it.

As the two giants were swallowed by the beast, he would swing both his sword, which now was a flaming inferno threatening to swallow everything in its way, and his axe, Stormbreaker, which by now resembled a Kirin, a lightning beast.

Hakoku

Were the words that escaped his lips as he released a devastating slash toward the beast.

A powerful wave of Haki was released... the ocean was split in half, the sky slightly parted as the giant beast... was slashed cleanly in half.

The boat of the giants was propelled forward at inhuman speed. They would wave back at him, he would stay at the shores, some tears in his eyes. He wanted to go with them, he really wanted to go to Elbaf, but they wanted him to have his own journey.

Fine, he would.

He needed to hone his skills and then, he would set to sea — like come on, what's the worst that could happen? A braindead idiot making him join his crew or some BS like that?

A/N: By the time Luffy comes, he will be roughly Yonko Commander-ish level, which means the first few arcs are mainly bonding and getting along with other people and teaching them. Mind you, any admiral not named Green Bull can mid-diff him, and it's only a mid-diff because he is annoying to fight — like trying to kill a cockroach.

For Green Bull, it's not mid-diff — it's an extreme diff for whoever wins, because he will be able to harm him and burn him, and considering Green Bull's intelligence, even trick him.

As if my draft apart from the Kuzan fight he doesn't struggle much till Sabaody.

/same rules as last time, where does he stop. Do keep in mind, he has conqueror coating, his durability is only slighly below king and that without conqueror coating.
