"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
A massive water dragon rushed toward Broggy. The man clenched his axe, preparing to slash the water in half.
But unlike what he expected, the water dragon instead coiled all around him, making sure his big backside wasn't going anywhere.
Taking out his sword, Einherjar — which, if he remembered correctly from Nordic mythos, was the sword the chosen warriors who feast in Valhalla until Ragnarok used — he smirked.
One nifty trick about this sword was...
He could use wind through it.
As his blade clashed with Dorry, the giant smiled.
"You've gotten stronger. Good."
The man attempted to push him away, but the boy Body Flickered a good distance away.
He poured an immense amount of lightning into his axe and launched it toward Dorry.
He also rushed toward Broggy, his eyes glinting.
From his blind spot, he felt Dorry move out of the way of the axe and swing his blade at him.
Using his sword, coated in Haki, he clashed with the giant. Light sparks flew everywhere.
"Using Stormbreaker to try and stall me? I'm too strong for that," Dorry said, to which the boy smiled.
"I wasn't aiming for you."
As those words left Kairo's mouth, the axe he had thrown earlier released all of its lightning, landing on the water dragon.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
It sounded like Broggy was in quite some pain.
Good — this should keep him busy for a bit.
Turning his gaze to Dorry, he coated his sword in mighty flames.
Turning his flames on, he used his power to create fire constructs and launched them at the giant in front of him.
He compressed the fire so much that it was far more dangerous than usual.
With fire enveloping his whole body, he continued to clash with Dorry.
BAM
BAM
CLANG
Fwosh
He Body Flickered behind the man, his sword drawn, aiming to deal a lot of damage. But mere inches before striking, his Observation Haki flared up and he instantly teleported away as Broggy's axe swing barely missed his frame by six inches.
The boy landed quite a distance away — that axe blow would have destroyed him if it had landed.
"Gegyagyagyagya!" — Dorry
"Gabababababa!" — Broggy
"You are improving well, little warrior, but this is not enough to defeat us," Broggy said.
The boy smiled.
"I expected nothing less."
Raising his hand, the axe he had thrown earlier came back into his grasp.
Gosh, he loved it when battles were this fun.
The giants smiled, standing together.
"Hakoku."
Those were the words that escaped their lips. He watched as they put all their strength into it, calling upon their warrior code. Then they slashed their weapons, creating two compressed air beams (Dorry's was blue, Broggy's was red) that would slice through anything in their path — even the ocean itself.
Noticing this massive attack coming toward him, he felt the need to retaliate. Using all of his flames — and he did mean all — he imbued them into his sword.
With his axe, he channeled a massive amount of lightning energy.
He had no idea what to call this move, but oh well.
Opening his mouth, he spoke:
"Mjötuðrstormr" ("Storm of Doom")
He would 100% change that name later, but for now, it was the best he had.
The slash launched, meeting the Hakoku midway. Upon closer look, the giants' attack was gaining on him. With his back to the ocean, he quickly went through some hand seals.
"Water Style: Water Dragon!"
A water dragon formed behind him — he'd made the required hand seals in around five seconds.
Yeah, that was like ten hand seals a second. He was good with his hands, okay?
He launched the water dragon toward their location as he flew into the sky, rushing at them from above — axe in one hand, sword in the other.
Behind him, multiple fire beasts could be seen. The dinosaurs seemed to be having flashbacks, as the sight of the burning sky looked exactly like the meteor that may or may not have wiped them out millions of years ago.
The giants smiled, as if happy to see his progress.
The two stood next to each other and raised their shields.
"Svalinn."
Dorry and Broggy stood together, using their shields to parry the attack as one.
When his attacks landed, no damage seemed to have been dealt.
The boy didn't mind — he coated his weapons with Haki before clashing against the shield.
CRACK
Their shields grew heavier, especially since the boy had given himself two boosters, making him deal much more damage than usual.
As for the earlier clash of their attacks, the Hakoku had already sliced clean through his earlier slash — water dragon included.
This fight was truly pushing him beyond his limits, and he liked it. It had been so long since he felt this way; he was starting to enjoy life once more. The more he learned about Elbath, the more he wanted to visit in the future. If they had such fine warriors, their culture must be exceptional.
