There must be something here that was blocking her wolf. If it was indeed Mr Lythoryn, then he knew about werewolves more than he was letting on.
That made him even more dangerous.
Or could it be Alpha Kalio?
Her heart raced thinking of him. Her gaze instinctively shifted to Arik, who was now sleeping in her arms.
She sighed as she adjusted on the bed and lay Arik by her side, patting his back gently.
Could it really be him?
Had he been able to manipulate that witch of a mate to…. It was impossible. Her magic had restrictions. It couldn't even detect Idalia's essence when she hid her wolf, or else Alpha Kalio would have found her. Furthermore, her magic couldn't even tell that she wasn't fully dead when Idalia had taken that potion to play dead and had been buried in front of the whole pack.
So it just couldn't be him.
It had to be this mansion, it had to be Mr Lythoryn… or…
Maybe another party was in the mix.
