Chapter 21 - Once A Wolf, Always?
Idalia shut the door firmly behind her as she stepped into her room.
She quickly inspected Arik, whose eyes still had traces of tears in them. It was something she had noticed when Arik was given to her, and it had made her worried that Mr Lythoryn had not kept his word, allowing harm to fall upon her son. She had the urge to conduct a check on him right there and then or confront Mr Lythoryn. But she had suppressed it, wanting to go away from him as far as possible, as soon as she could.
Wait… maybe they had conducted some of their science thing on him, and that was why Mr Lythoryn had turned down her offer for a medical check-up to confirm what she was.
Her eyes moved quickly, her eyes even more observant as gruesome images flashed in her mind, Grandpa Alfred's voice ringing in her ears with the scary stories she had been told about humans and their science.
Idalia shook her head, forcing herself to stay focused and ensuring not to tremble.
