"Are you sure?" Brock asked with concern.
"Hmm." Rodger gave a slight yet firm nod.
He brought Winter here so that he could let his steam off. So, there is no need to stop him from drinking.
"Get lost. Why do you care? I am stupid anyway. So what if I get drunk? It is not like I could get any more stupid than I already am, right?" Summer pushed them away and suddenly shouted.
"..." Brock and Archer were stunned speechless.
Winter just called himself stupid? Is that even possible? Maybe there is something wrong with their ears. Yes, that should be it.
They opened their mouths in shock. They wanted to say something, but saw Rodger placing his finger on his lips and shaking his head.
They gulped and nodded, letting Winter let out his steam.
"Am I really stupid? No, I am not. How could he say that? He is the stupid one. Not me," Summer shouted again.
They blinked their eyes.
This time, Archer did not stop himself and asked, "Who is he? Who actually dared to call you stupid?"
He really wanted to know the answer.
So, someone called Winter stupid, and he was in a bad mood because of that? They understood this much from his words. But they wanted to know the name of that person so they could pray to that God.
"My Brother," Summer pouted her lips.
"Your brother? Aren't you a single child? Where did this brother come from? You have other friends than us three?" Brock asked in confusion.
"Of course, I have a brother. But I didn't know I had my brother until my birthday," Summer pouted again and continued to drink.
Then she smiled suddenly. "It's good to have a brother. It is fun. As I expected before. But he scolds me. He scolds me a lot. Why does he have such a big temper? No one had ever scolded me like he did before. Can't he be nice to me?" She almost cried by the end.
"Huh? What? Your brother… Why does he sound very much like you?" Brock scratched the back of his head.
"Of course, we are alike. We are twins, after all. But I am not like my brother at all. He is always very angry. I am not like that. I am a very good girl."
"Girl?"
"What? What girl? Are you all drunk? Ha ha ha," Summer came back to her senses a little and tried to cover up her mistake.
She had to be careful. Otherwise, her brother wouldn't stop at scolding her like he did today. He would definitely kill her.
Archer and Brock did not think much and thought they had really drunk too much. But Rodger raised an eyebrow and observed Winter's expression carefully.
He got so much information today, but that wasn't enough to find out why Winter had changed so much in the past couple of months.
He asked, "So, why exactly did your brother scold you?"
"Umm…" Summer pursed her lips. After coming back to her senses, there is no way she would slip up again. She shook her head, "Nothing. No reason. He is just an angry head. Hehe." She chuckled at the end, trying to smooth the situation.
She could feel Rodger's deep gaze on her, and her cheeks flushed.
She did not dare to raise her eyes to look at him.
She is shy.
Rodger raised his eyebrow once again when he saw Winter's cheeks flush.
'Why is he blushing when he is talking to me?'
He did not understand. He only felt creepy.
After having a few more drinks, everyone dispersed.
Rodger helped Winter back to their room and helped him to bed.
But before he could leave, Winter grabbed his hand and looked at him.
"What is it?" Rodger asked patiently. He did not know why he was so patient with him, either. It just somehow happened out of the blue.
"Am I really stupid?" Summer blinked her watery eyes innocently.
For some reason, Rodger did not feel like he was looking into Winter's eyes. It was like he was looking into someone else's eyes. So delicate that he wanted to kiss them.
As soon as that thought came into his mind, Rodger hurriedly shook his head to shake it off.
How could he think of such a thing, looking at Winter?
Just the thought made him feel like a thousand snakes crawling all over his body.
His shaking head somehow answered Summer's question, and she asked again, "Then why did he call me stupid?"
"Who is he?" Rodger sat on her bed and asked gently.
He wasn't sure if he could trust his answers from the bar. So he asked again, now that they are alone.
"My brother." She repeated the same answer as the last time.
"When did you get a brother?"
"Silly. Of course, when we were born. We are twins. Hehe. Aren't we special?" Summer grinned in a silly manner.
"Yes. You are special. But why didn't I hear of your brother before? Your mother never mentioned either," Rodger asked softly, trying to get the information out.
But as soon as the word Mother left his lips, Summer realized something and stammered, "Brother? What brother? I don't have a brother."
As soon as she spoke those words, she felt dizzy and closed her eyes. She stuffed her face into the pillow.
Rodger grabbed his collar and pulled his face out of it, "You will suffocate yourself if you do that. Now tell me more about your brother. Don't lie to me. Or I will…"
"Or you will? What will you do? Don't tell me you will throw me out of your room? No. You can't do that," Summer sat up straight and declared at once.
"..." That wasn't what he thought at all. He wasn't that childish. Also, is that even considered a threat?
But seeing Winter's expression, he nodded, "Yes. If you don't tell me everything truthfully, I will throw you out of the room."
