"Don't ask me anything. Just stay as far away from her as much as you can," Winter repeated the same thing, without fulfilling Summer's gossipy heart.
She suddenly understood why Rodger was shocked seeing her enthusiasm to meet his sister.
She wanted to try another method to get gossip from her brother and said, "Brother, maybe we can use her birthday wish?"
Now, she is sure he would tell her the reason to stay away from Katy.
Her phone rang as soon as the message was sent out. As expected, it was her brother calling. She answered it triumphantly. She successfully broke their cold war.
"Oh? Wouldn't she feel sad by letting others blow out her birthday candles? Are her wishes less valuable than Clara's?" Clearly he was teasing her. He was no longer angry at her.
The reason wasn't exactly Summer.
In the last week, he was dragged around by Clara for her birthday party celebration. There shouldn't be any good stores in the city where they had not visited for the shopping.
He saw how enthusiastic Clara was about her party.
After seeing everything from a close proximity, he slowly understood what Summer wanted to say that day.
Now, even if Clara herself would offer him to blow out her candles, he wouldn't be able to. He would feel too guilty to do so.
It was a small matter. But for girls like Summer and Clara, these little moments feel precious as their memories. They want these memories to be stuck with them forever.
One small regret and they would feel sad for who knows how long.
They are just a couple of delicate young ladies. Breaking their hearts feels like being criminal, even for Winter.
"Hehe. You are not angry anymore?" Summer cheekily asked, not caring to answer his question. It is not like she really planned to use Katy's birthday wish. She wouldn't destroy another young lady's happiness for her selfish reasons.
And that young lady is Rodger's sister nonetheless.
She is her future sister-in-law. She is definitely more important.
"Hmm."
"Then why didn't you call me or text me until now?"
"Your best friend did not allow me to take a breath for the past week. Once I am home, all I could do was fall on the bed and sleep. Where would I have the energy to deal with another princess?" He mocked.
"Hehe. You deserve it," Summer sneered happily. She really enjoyed her brother's struggles.
"Huh? Why? What did I do to you?" Winter felt perplexed.
"You scolded me," Summer pouted her lips.
"..." After a few seconds of silence, Winter sighed, "How long has it been since then? Do you still remember that? I forgot about that the day we talked."
"What? You forgot about it? How can you do that? You scolded me. How can I forget about it so easily? Only after talking about it can I put my mind to ease, right? How can you casually say that you forgot about it?" Summer argued.
"My mom. Please let me out of this. I can't handle these women's dramas." Winter pleaded.
"Well, until now, you have no other women in your life other than mom. I see that Mommy generally lets you be as you wished. But now that you understand you have a sister in your life and there will be a girlfriend and a wife in your future, you have to get used to these dramas. You should learn everything from scratch. You have no choice," She declared, not giving him any choice to refuse.
"Huh?" Winter was dumbfounded by this sudden arrival of a princess in his life. Now this princess even wanted to give him classes about how to treat other princesses?
No, thank you. He doesn't want to learn them.
But sadly, she did not give him any chance.

"Brother Winter!!!!! You came to my birthday!! I am soooo happy~" Katy's excited voice entered their ears, before Winter and Rodger could enter the birthday venue.
Summer felt her ears itch at how she screamed in excitement.
She gave a smile and wished the birthday girl, "Happy birthday, Katy. This is your gift."
"Thank you, Brother Winter. I will keep this gift carefully with me. Forever." She announced.
"..." Huh? What's going on? Summer did not understand. "No, you shouldn't do that. There are food items inside. If you keep them, they will get spoiled."
"Ah? Oh. Then I will keep the wrappers and boxes carefully. Anyway, I won't let the gift that Brother Winter bought carefully for me be lost anywhere," Katy grinned happily and she even held onto her arm intimately.
'What's going on here?' Summer was in doubt and looked at Rodger.
Were Winter and Katy a couple?
But Winter clearly told her to stay far away from Katy. From his words, she actually thought that they might be some sort of enemies who couldn't see eye to eye. So, she even made plans to make them friends so that it would help her in the future.
Now what is going on? Who would tell her?
Her enquiring gaze became a gaze for pleading help in the eyes of Rodger. He immediately came to his friend's rescue.
He swatted his sister's hand away from Winter's hand, "Hey, can't you see anyone else? Archer, Brock and your brother came as well. Not just Winter. Won't you greet us all?"
"Oh, you all came? Welcome. Please come inside," Katy's excited smile turned into a polite and courteous smile, as she welcomed Archer and Brock.
Brock clicked his tongue, "Of course we all came. If your eyes turn away from Winter for a second, we all are very easily visible men, alright?"
Archer chuckled, "Hey, stop teasing Katy. It is not our first time being ignored anyway. In fact, if one day she greeted me before she greeted Winter, I might even faint from shock."
Brock laughed out loud, "Hahaha. True. I might faint as well. After all, we don't have the charm of Winter in Katy's eyes."
