Chapter 9 - UNDERSTANDING ABILITIES 2

Arnold had learned and understood a lot of things about Art Users especially due to Williams and Victoria, but he had never heard 'registered' before.

He looked bewildered, staring at his notebook as though it contained the answers.

Favour looked as his head drowned in his notebook.

She tilted her head slightly and shifted her gaze back to Williams and Victoria.

"Mummy, daddy", she than said as though she hadn't seen them for days.

Williams had seemed to be getting better under treatment.

He looked more lively and he groaned less.

This was good news.

Favour rushed over to Williams and touched his arm, her wrist glowed sprinkles of red.

Williams stared without a word.

No actions.

Victoria didn't flinch, she probably didn't even notice it, she just kept on dealing with Williams.

Suddenly, the shouts and screams of Williams immediately caught the attention of Arnold.

He turned.

Witnessing the scene was horrific but not a flinch from Arnold.

Favour, on the other hand, ran like a thousand bees were chasing her and hid behind Arnold, eyes watered in tears.

"Ahhh! Ahhhh!!", Williams screamed as Victoria tried to pull the bullet out of his body.

She struggled, and the fact that she was using Chop Sticks didn't make it better for her or easier for her.

It took about three minutes of constant screams and struggles, but the bullet was finally removed.

Well, at least the sound of metal dropping on the floor made that clear.

Victoria bent down and picked it up, looking at the bullet with curiosity.

"Well, at least we got the two bullets out", Victoria then joked in the brief moment of silence.

Step Step Step

Arnold walked towards his foster Father who laid on the bed.

Favour ran towards him and hugged him admist of all his groans.

The red light flashed again.

Only Arnold thought deep into it.

Finally, an idea hit him like a missile.

"Is it possible that Favour's healing ability is transferrant".

All gazes shifted towards him.

Williams smugged.

"Well, it's w.. worth a try", Williams said faintly before he laid there in silence.

The red light shun brighter from her wrist, the eagle clearly visible.

Favour still stood hugging her father, holding him close to the deep wound.

"Favour, drop your hand on the wound of Williams".

Arnold looked at Favour and said, gesturing towards the wound.

Favour looked dumbfounded and so did Victoria who hadn't yet understood what they were doing.

Victoria wasn't the brightest when it came to Art Users and Sacred Types.

She had no idea how anything worked.

The only thing she had a slight idea on about Art Users, was the interfaces.

"Why should she place her hand on your father", Victoria looked sternly at Arnold.

Arnold smirked.

"If Favour could heal herself, don't you believe it is possible that she could heal someone else!".

Victoria closed her mouth and stared up to the ceiling deep it thought.

'That doesn't sound too bad, or dangerous', Victoria mustered to herself still looking at the ceiling.

She turned her gaze.

Staring at Williams scared her and believing in miracles saved the life of Favour.

She finally agreed.

Favour turned around to her mother who now had a smile on her face, her light dimming as she stared.

Favour smiled back and began waving, Victoria couldn't control the tears.

Moments later, action took place.

Williams carried the palm of Favour and placed it on his wound.

Her light brightened, her pupils turned red in colour.

It began to seem that the light during the healing, could come out on any part of the body.

At the moment, the light exhibited from her palm, not just one palm, both palms.

The palm that stood on its own and the palm that laid on the dry blood wound of Williams.

The flash was so bright, so bright that once again, it forced Arnold and Victoria out of the room.

No shakes or movements from either Favour or Williams.

Key factors that Arnold jotted down in his notebook.

The red light shun through the house and outside the window.

Favour couldn't be neared as the light brought out would blind you in an instant.

Victoria and Arnold stood from a safe distance.

The distinction was clear.

Arnold stood there confidently and boldly writing down whatever he witnessed.

Victoria stood there shaking and couldn't keep her eyes off Favour.

Finally, it stopped.

The red lights, the non-movements, it just suddenly stopped.

Arnold was the first to walk in.

Victoria walked in next flowing behind him, acting as though every step would be her last.

Finally, they arrived at Favour, the faint red colour still appeared in the mark on her wrist and a faint burning smell filled the air.

It took a while, but the both of them snapped out of their gaze and at almost exactly the same moment.

Favour was brought back to life like a resurrection while Williams woke up like a happy new morning.

The red light had completely distorted Arnold and Victoria.

The case was worse for Favour, the user of the ability.

She tilted as she walked and fell down almost immediately as she snapped out of the gaze.

It was clear that Favour may have used to much power when dealing with the wounds of Williams causing her to collapse.

Arnold once again, brought out his notebook and jotted every thing down.

All focus was on Favour who had fallen.

Her case was a bit different than that of Victoria.

Victoria fell into a comma due to her cell system not able to handle the immense pressure put on them when using the eye lasers.

Favour, on the other hand, fell to the floor due to using too much energy and work load which led to her collapse.

As a five year old, she might have been full of energy, but she also lacked energy as well.

Victoria picked her up and checked her pulse and heart rate.

"She is still breathing", Victoria then concluded while letting out a sigh of relief.

Favour was carried and dropped on the corner of the bed.

Her eyes shut but her mind open to possibilities.

Victoria walked back to Arnold who had his notebook tucked in between his arm and armpit.

He looked bewildered while staring at Williams who still hadn't moved since the ability was manifested.

Victoria stared at him.

Arnold recognised the stares but didn't flinch, his eyes fixed on the body of Williams.

"What wrong son? Why are you staring at--", Victoria was cut halfway by the gesturing hand of Arnold.

Arnold pointed towards Williams, exactly the spot where the wound is. He instructed her to look at the area while still keeping a cold face.

Victoria turned and shifted her gaze.

Her expression changed. She then mustered faintly to herself.

"What! Nothing happened".
