Chapter 7 Tang Ya.
The girl, listening to Deng Mu's words, wished she could disappear into a hole; it was just too embarrassing.
Although he meant well, the thought of her body being seen naked by a boy several years younger than her was incredibly shameful.
However, this was a secret between the two of them; as long as Deng Mu didn't tell anyone, it would be fine, after all, he was her savior.
After thinking it over, the girl said, "My name is Tang Ya, little brother, thank you for saving me."
Upon learning that the girl was Tang Ya, Deng Mu was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected to have saved her.
He remembered that Tang Ya had indeed been hunted down, apparently because Tie Tang and Tie Li of the Iron Blood Sect bribed the city defense forces of Tian Dou City to launch a night attack on the Tang Clan. Tang Ya's parents were killed by Tie Li, and only Tang Ya escaped, but the Tang Clan's foundation was seized by the Iron Blood Sect.
Thinking of this, Deng Mu looked at Tang Ya with some pity.
Deng Mu introduced himself, "It's alright, my name is Deng Mu. What happened just now was my fault, I hope you can forgive me, Sister Tang Ya."
Tang Ya sat up, blushing and covering herself, "It's okay, just give me your clothes, I can put them on myself."
It would be too embarrassing for Deng Mu to dress her.
Although she was only nine years old, she knew quite a bit about matters between men and women, all taught to her by her parents.
Thinking of her parents, Tang Ya felt a pang of sadness and secretly resolved to avenge them and revitalize the Tang Clan.
Hearing this, Deng Mu quickly gave Tang Ya her clothes and left the bedroom, closing the door behind him.
"Okay, I'm dressed," Tang Ya said weakly after putting on Jiang Nannan's clothes.
Hearing Tang Ya's words, Deng Mu came in with some herbs.
"Sister Tang Ya, let me apply the medicine for you, so you can get better sooner."
"Okay, thank you."
"It's nothing."
Tang Ya nodded shyly, still remembering what happened before when she looked at Deng Mu.
Thinking that Deng Mu was about six years old, her shyness lessened considerably.
Deng Mu carefully applied the medicine to Tang Ya, each step extremely meticulous, afraid of accidentally hurting her.
Watching Deng Mu's careful movements, Tang Ya only found him incredibly cute.
"Done."
After a while, Deng Mu finished applying the medicine, wiped the sweat from his brow, and said with great satisfaction.
He had treated every injury perfectly, and after a while, all of Tang Ya's wounds would be completely healed.
Tang Ya thanked Deng Mu: "Little brother Deng Mu, thank you."
Deng Mu waved his hand and said, "It's nothing, just a small favor. Sister Tang Ya, you can call me Xiao Mu."
Hearing Deng Mu's words, Tang Ya nodded to indicate that she understood.
"Little brother, are you home?"
Just then, Jiang Nannan's voice suddenly rang out.
Hearing Jiang Nannan's voice, Deng Mu said to Tang Ya, "Sister Tang Ya, I'll go out for a bit. My sister's back."
Tang Ya nodded, "Okay, go ahead."
Deng Mu left the bedroom and went to the living room to find Jiang Nannan.
Seeing Deng Mu leave, Tang Ya lay down on the bed to rest. She had been running around for several days and was exhausted, plus she was extremely hungry.
"Sister."
"Little brother, where have you been all day?"
Jiang Nannan asked, hands on her hips, as she saw Deng Mu come out of the bedroom.
She even suspected that Deng Mu had secretly gone off to hunt spirit beasts all day.
But upon closer inspection, it seemed unlikely; Deng Mu was only six years old and couldn't possibly defeat spirit beasts. Going off to hunt them would be tantamount to suicide.
Deng Mu scratched his head and said, "Sister, I went to play at the secret base outside the city today."
Only he and Jiang Nannan knew about the secret base; no one else knew.
Hearing that he had gone to play at the secret base, Jiang Nannan breathed a sigh of relief: "Going to play at the secret base? That's fine then. I thought you went off to hunt for spirit rings all by yourself."
Hearing Jiang Nannan's words, Deng Mu awkwardly scratched his head, thinking that his sister's intuition was really accurate; she had guessed what he had been doing all day.
But thankfully, his sister didn't know what he had been doing, otherwise, he would have been in trouble.
"By the way, sister, there's something I need to tell you."
"What is it?"
Jiang Nannan looked at Deng Mu with some curiosity. She was quite curious about what Deng Mu wanted to say.
She knew her younger brother quite well; he wouldn't tell her small things, so it must be something important.
Deng Mu thought for a moment and said, "Today, while I was playing outside the city, I found someone covered in wounds, so I brought her home to treat her."
Jiang Nannan frowned upon hearing Deng Mu's words and asked, "Who was she? Male or female? How old?"
For some reason, she had a vague feeling that the person her brother brought home was trouble.
Although her brother's behavior seemed harmless, it didn't mean everyone deserved to be rescued. What if the person was a bad person? Their whole family would be in danger.
They were just an ordinary family; they couldn't afford any danger. Any danger could tear them apart.
Deng Mu recalled Tang Ya's information and said, "Her name is Tang Ya, she's a girl, about the same age as you."
Hearing Tang Ya's information, Jiang Nannan became wary. "Brother, let's go see her."
She then headed towards the bedroom, wanting to meet the girl named Tang Ya.
Seeing his sister head to the bedroom, Deng Mu quickly followed behind Jiang Nannan, somewhat puzzled by her vigilance.
It was as if she were guarding against a thief, worried that something would be stolen.
Upon entering the bedroom, Jiang Nannan saw Tang Ya resting.
She was quite pretty.
Jiang Nannan looked at Tang Ya on the bed, thinking to herself.
As for Tang Ya wearing her clothes, it wasn't a big deal.
Tang Ya opened her eyes and saw Jiang Nannan standing by the bed: "Hello, my name is Tang Ya."
Jiang Nannan looked at the weak Tang Ya and said, "My name is Jiang Nannan, I'm Deng Mu's sister. You should rest in bed, I'll go get you something to eat."
Judging from Tang Ya's appearance, Jiang Nannan considered several possibilities and lowered her guard.
Hearing Jiang Nannan's words, Deng Mu breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that his sister would kick Tang Ya out.
If Tang Ya were kicked out, her chances of surviving outside wouldn't be good.
Tang Ya listened to Jiang Nannan: "Okay, thank you."
She then closed her eyes to continue resting. Right now, she just wanted to rest and had no interest in chatting with others.
Seeing Tang Ya resting, Jiang Nannan left the bedroom with Deng Mu.
"Little brother, did you change her clothes?"
"Yes, but she woke up halfway through."
Deng Mu listened to Jiang Nannan's words and didn't hide the fact that he had changed Tang Ya's clothes.
