Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Arachne and Gregor

The footsteps echoed through the hallway, the planks under each step falling and rising the nails struggling to stay in place. A warm feeling pulsated through her body as she felt a spider crawling up her arm. Each step it took feeling like a needle poking into her arm and drawing blood from her vein. She pulled her silky and lush black her backwards, making her look up at the boarded roof, a bunch of tiny little skittering noises coming from the dozens upon dozens of sacks up there ready to pop at any time. She then reached her other arm that the spider was crawling up to reach to her face and feel around her left eye, the spider now on her forearm with no sign of stopping its journey.

She rubbed her pointer and middle finger around her eye, before slowly and grotesquely taking hold of her eye and pulling it out as the spider crawled up her neck, onto her adam's apple, and up her chin. The spider again seemed to show no sign of stopping as it crawled all over her face before finding her eye socket and burrowing into it.

As this happened the door creaked open, a light bursting through it like the sun through a window in the morning causing her to flinch as she took in deep and long shaky breaths. A serious looking man in a black suit and slicked back light brown hair walked in. He looked at the naked sweaty mess in front of him and snapped, a towel then proceeded to appear in the same hand he used to snap.

As she stood up with her legs shaking nearly as much as her voice, he threw the towel at her, which she caught and swiftly wrapped around herself. She chuckled a bit, "So what's Mr. President doing here?" She said revealing his identity as she looked deep into his sharp yellow yet sunless eyes.

He grabbed her shoulder and slid his hand to her neck and slowly squeezed, "Arachne, did you forget not to call me that in public spaces?"

"But this is a rundown abandoned hotel~! Also, you just called me by name yourself you communistic hypocrite~," She said as she opened the towel, "No one besides you is going to hear or see me it's fine."

He sighed while staring into her sparkly sky-blue eye, "Just get dressed. This isn't how an assassin should be acting. If anything, an assassin should expect anyone to appear at any time-" He got cut off by her pulling away from the room to another room across from them and closing the door behind them as they entered it. She then pushed him onto the bed while mounting him and said in a flirty tone, "Oh, but honey, an assassin can act however they want! Not just that, but my spiders are set up all over the building, trust me, I'd know if anyone came to interrupt our little fun~!" She said as she came down to his face and kissed him deeply.

Spiders crawling out of her crevices and into floorboards, under doors, between windowsills and so on. There wasn't a single person that would come into the building or leave the building unless she allowed it to happen now.

*Meanwhile with Tundra as he tried to sleep*

'Something's off. I can just feel it,' He thought about the assassins and how easy they've been not only to identify and locate but take down. Thus far each assassin had been a no trick pony, useless to the definition in terms of how they did their job. Each one seemed too easy, and Hirune's confidence about taking down all of the assassins after those three? Don't even get him started on that. Sure, he thought her confidence was a good thing because being confident is overall good and healthy, but it just seemed too good to be true. 'These have to be decoys to get our confidence up! I can just feel it! But I can't prove it!'

Suddenly Hirune swung the door to his room open, "S'cuze me! There's a roach! Kill it for me will ya'? Pretty please?" She blew a kiss at him as she asked this.

"Did Kala tell you to blow that kiss?" Tundra said tiredly as he sat up in bed.

"Maybe! But that doesn't matter, yes or no?"

"Why don't you just use the devourer jaws to kill it?" He said as he lied down again.

"Ew, no! We still don't know where things go when I devour them and if they go into my stomach or into the Forsaken Realm, I'm NOT devouring that roach!" She answered then added, "Also, it's huge! It's nearly the size of a human!"

Tundra quickly sprang out of bed as she said this, "Nearly the size of a human? Gregor's back?!" He yelled excitedly as he rushed into the living space. Going into it, he instantly spotted him. The large, seven feet tall, 4 foot wide extremely obese, kind of plushie looking, and friendly roach named Gregor or Greg for short. Greg was on the ground with Kala and Ellen laying on the top half of his body, Tundra quickly dropped down and laid on the bottom half, his body feeling like soft cloth.

Hirune walked in shocked by the sight, "Why are we buddy-buddy with a cockroach?"

Tundra smiled at her, "No, no, Greg's chill. Come here he feels like a plushie."

Hirune hesitantly walked over and reached her hand out towards the cockroach, her arm jolting back as her fingertips touched it. Yet feeling the texture, she was tempted to feel the roach again and as she did, she laid down next to Tundra on the roach, basking in it's softness.

*Back to Arachne and the president of Triste*

She let out a long moan as she stretched while lying on her stomach on top of him. Then she buried her face into his back and ran her finger up his chest and to his chin, gently nibbling on his neck before saying, "That was... I need the hospital. Doesn't matter though the doctor can wait, I want again."

He gently moved her off and rubbed the spider bits off of his lap as he stood up, "And I've got other matters to attend to. I enjoyed my time with you, but I've got to go now."

"Come on," she groaned. "I'm sure your little business meetings can wait just one more round right?" She begged him to stay as she cleaned all of the little spider limbs off of the blanket.

"Sorry, they can't. Take care of yourself," he bided farewell as he left a note on the counter near the door and started on his way to whatever business he had to attend to.

She sighed and crawled on the blankets in a way to clean herself off on them a bit as she went over to edge of the bed and stood up. She stood there for a moment, calling a decent amount of her spiders over to make a lose dress around her body, a corset being a nice little edition to it alongside some finger loop gloves and a hairband with frills and two bows on it. Now she was ready to go out and about.

As she walked over to the door, she made sure to pick up the note he left for her. She didn't feel like leaving just yet though because she was starving, so she went over to the kitchen, took a mushed-up apple out of the basket, as she picked it up the apple returned back to when it was most tasty.

She took a messy bite out of the juicy apple, the apple's juice tricking down her chin a bit, "Tastes pretty good for my first time doing this. I wonder what else I can apply it to?" She said as she put the apple into her dress, the apple getting ripped to shreds by the thousands of spiders taking a bunch of tiny little bites out of it, something she'd trained them to do.
