Chapter 29 - Chapter 28: Post yellow

She slowly opened her eyes, taking a moment to adjust to the brightness of the bright white light above her and a slight weight on her stomach.

Looking down, she saw Tundra asleep with his head on her stomach, one of his hands holding a book open right next to his head on her lap, the other holding her own.

She moved her free hand and ran her fingers through his hair while looking at the tube with a transparent liquid flowing through it and into her arm.

Hearing the door open, she instantly devoured off the IV-drop and made a bright yellow light in her hand. Her vision blurred slightly as she saw the shadow of a spider through the white curtains around her bed. As the person went to push the curtain open, her vision blurred again then cleared up, the shadow becoming normal again as Ellen peeked her head in.

Seeing the jaws, Ellen approached slowly, "So, good morning... Uh, you're finally awake, how do you feel?"

The jaws went back into her hand as she took deep and long breaths, "Sorry, I'm okay."

Ellen nodded and looked at Tundra, "You know, he's only moved from here if it was to eat or basic hygiene, besides that, he's been here by your side for the past three days."

'Three days huh?' She thought as she looked at Tundra and smiled slightly. Ellen looked at them for a moment and before leaving said, "I'll tell you the news later when you're feeling better."

She shook him a little, "Hey, sleepy head!" She said softly. "Wake up, I can't move my legs if you're on me. Though it's not like I mind staying here... If it's with you at least, but moving would be nice."

Tundra slowly opened his eyes and looked up at her while yawning and sitting up, "Xiao~!"

She giggled, "Xiao~!"

He helped her up and held her hand as they walked out of the nursing room. Which beneath one of the floorboards in the weapon area. As Hirune stepped up, confetti blew up in her face, causing her to flinch and nearly fall back down.

Tundra caught her and helped her up again as they stepped into the room. She walked over to the couch and sat down, unsure of how to interact with any of them.

Kala walked over and sat down next to her, "According to the sources, our little witch somehow summoned a being from the outer realm~! Are they right?"

Hirune sat there in silence for a solid minute before answering, "I guess, I did... I don't know though. All I remember is something I can only describe as reality shattering before me, erratic whispering in my ears as they rang, a bright yellow light slightly seeping through my eyelids no matter how tightly I closed them, and a large pitch-black lake appearing in front of me before passing out next to Tundra."

Ellen nodded while sitting on the other side of Hirune, causing her to jump as she hadn't noticed her there. Ellen started, "That does make sense, after all summoning The King in Yellow isn't something any random person can do, especially someone as inexperienced as you. I mean, someone as inexperienced as you with the exception of me and Sangre of course! I'll admit I'm very impressed by your abilities, anyone of your caliber would normally go insane from even being in his presence while conscious nevertheless summoning him, not just that, but anyone of your caliber would have probably died or been in a coma for months or maybe even years."

She just nodded and looked around for Tundra. Since she'd woken up, she'd been a little confused by everything, the only person or thing that hadn't confused her yet was Tundra. She looked towards the door leading to the bedrooms behind the couch, "Is the dragon-boy in there?"

They looked at her confused. Clint spoke up, "Do you mean Tundra?" She nodded. "Yeah, he's in there. Somewhere but he's in there."

She stood up, walked through the door and started looking for him in every room. The three of them followed her, confused as to what she was doing. eventually Kala just tapped her on the shoulder and led her to Tundra's room, which is precisely where he was.

She nodded at Kala gratefully and went over to Tundra, "Dragon-boy! Did I deal with the spider lady?"

Tundra looked at her with a raised eyebrow and nodded, "Yeah, but, what's with the dragon-boy thing?" He asked as Cuelebre laughed in his head.

"Well, what's your name then?" She asked. "Sorry, I remember who you are but not your name. So, uh yeah, what's your name?"

Tundra sat up and put his book down, "It's Tundra but that doesn't matter right now. Are you feeling, okay?"

Hirune looked at the bedsheets solemnly, her eyes tearing up a little. "I wanted to hide it but yeah. Everything's confusing to me right now, silver girl, shark girl, curly guy, my surroundings... Screw it, even I'm confusing myself right now. There's also this dizziness in the back of my mind, and a weird tingling feeling in my hands and eyes... Not just that but my memories a bit fuzzy in some places. I know my name, I know who Namulenza, Mr. Yellow and Mr. Devi are and how to use my powers still. Thing is, I don't remember my goals, ambitions, or desires... And it's bothering me a little..." She paused, "A lot."

Tundra stared at her with pity but quickly stopped as pity has never helped anyone. Instead, he helped her stand back up and looked at her in the eyes with a great look of determination, "Don't worry, I have a good idea on how to get them back!"
