As she cleared the distance between her and the battle, she could see large clouds of icy mist exploding on the other side of some mountains.
She grabbed her necklace and took the little purple glowing gem bellow the pendant one and held it in her hand tight before throwing it in her mouth and swallowing it.
'So, you knew that that was a shard of my artifact?' Namulenza asked mildly annoyed.
"Yeah, I was saving it for an emergency and personally, I'd say this counts as one," Hirune responded.
'Well, it's honestly useless for you right now. You see, I forgot to mention this, but you can combine artifacts if they're related in any sort of way. You see my current artifact is really elaborate because so many people told fake stories of me and theorized about me having many secret allies... Which I turned all of those theories into reality to benefit my artifact for the day someone consumed it so I could take over their body once they died after consuming it... But you're my little cupcake so I refuse to do that to you,' Namulenza explained. 'So, the powers you got this time is... Give me a second, uh... You can put others to sleep and awaken them as long as your palm touches their face and change your appearance at will as long as it doesn't completely change who you are on the outside or go against who you are on the inside. So, you could turn your hair fully black to sneak in somewhere, but not fully silver because that wouldn't necessarily be you.'
"That actually doesn't sound too bad," Hirune said as she pointed at the now visible helicopters. "I could use that to not look completely like myself and get them away from the area while explaining what I'm about to do."
Namulenza didn't respond to that and just puffed. Hirune rolled her eyes, her hair turning fully black as she disappeared from the damp and dark woods and appeared right in front of the bright shot of the battle between the giants.
"Hello~! Stop recording I'm about to summon The King in Yellow in order to deal with that beeg spider, alright? Good!" Hirune said with a bright grin on her face while looking directly at the person holding the camera. Then she squatted in front of the camera and got serious, "Oh and Mr. Press... Tsk, tsk, tsk, I have my eye on you. So just wait there patiently, alright~ <3?" She painted a very friendly smile on her face as she finished, then stood back up and wiped that smile off her face.
"Stop recording unless you want everyone watching to go mad. Oh, and get the message to the other helicopter too, I don't have the time for this," she finished as her eyes turned yellow.
She stepped off the helicopter as the jaws consumed her, then she appeared behind Tundra as Cuelebre shot a big ball of ice out of its mouth at Arachne, which she easily swatted away. Hirune put her arm around Tundra and pressed her palm against his cheek. A pitch-black mark of an anteater with a malevolent grin eating a could showing up on her hand as she casted, "Sleep." She caught him as he fell, then turned towards Arachne.
"Cuelebre, stop. I've got it from here," she said as she laid Tundra down gently and walked onto Cuelebres nose. "Close your eyes."
Taking in a deep breath, she held her left hand out and in an ethereal voice chanted, 'With My Last-Ditch Efforts, I Shall do a Truly Foolish Act and Call Upon your Name, With These Words That You've Allowed Me to Own, I Conjure You Forth: The One Who Reaches Far Beyond Time, Collecting the Knowledge of Those who Couldn't Share it, Pulling in Fools and Pushing Away the Wise, A Concept Far Beyond Any Human, I Humbly Ask Yee to Come Forth and Bring Upon Your Gaze to the One Who Opposes: King of Yellow and Black!'
Arachne tried to stop her as she spoke, but Cuelebre kept on shooting beams of ice at her legs, causing her to stumble about. Hirune's eyes glowed a bright unsettling yellow, that same yellow glow shining out of her palm sucking up the air around it causing a weird distortion in space around it.
Then a tear in that distorted space made it seem as though the sun itself appeared before them, that brightness turning into traces of the void within a second as a hand ripped through the space in front of them. The void flooding out like water from an opening damp as a pair of large skeletal hands decorated with golden rings pulled it apart before sticking out its veiled crowned head. The veil barely holding itself together as three large horns ripped through the front, a jaw with tons of razor-sharp teeth visible bellow it as it rippled in the air. Eventually, it pulled itself out into the sky far enough that its top half was visible, spanning from that little space that it had started it all the way up to the clouds, its intestines pouring out of its ribcage and dangling onto it like papier-mache.
Arachne tried to run, but before she could do anything a thousand eyes appeared upon the entire skeleton with a blinding yellow light, all of these eyes glaring at her. This light so blinding you couldn't see Arachne through it. All you could make out through the light being her screams in agony and terror.
Hirune kept her eyes tightly shut for a good five minutes before she heard a weird, distorted ripple in space. Opening her eyes, The King in Yellow was no longer there and neither was Arachne. All that was left as evidence that this happened being that there was now a whole lake of void liquid connected to the ocean, the density difference stopping the liquids from mixing.
Hirune sighed in relief, extremely out of breath as summoning Mr. Yellow took a lot out of her. She crawled back over to Tundra, turning her hair half black and half silver again as she touched his cheek with her palm and chanted 'Awaken' before promptly passing out next to him.
