Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Suavemente~!

"You're unarmed~!" She exclaimed with surprising whimsy in her voice as she bled out from her stomach, her arms flying into the air with joy as she stood up and attempted to hit him with a sweep kick. He barely jumped over it while standing and gave her a good sucker punch. In response she shot the devourer jaws out of her mouth and devoured his fist, this didn't seem to affect him though as he froze her feet in place and slammed her into the ground before rushing back.

Her vision turned blurry and her temperature rose to an extreme degree. Sweating profusely, she giggled as she weakly got up holding her stomach.

"Ellen! Play some salsa!" Tundra called out while pointing at her.

Ellen raised an eyebrow, Tundra was never the type to dance or listen to music often, so this request caught her off guard, yet she still complied and started playing some salsa.

Stumbling over to Tundra She attempted to punch him in the face with her hand imbued with the devourer's power. Tundra easily swayed out of the way and used the hand she used to try and punch him to twirl her around. She stumbled a bit, then fell back onto Tundra, who kept making her move around by dancing a surprisingly good salsa for a no bailo kid.

"Devo– ugh... I'm too busy bleeding out," Hirune said as half of her hair turned a little blacker. Tundra held in a laugh as he kept going, surprisingly enough his foolish idea was working. He'd actually gotten this idea from watching his mom and dad dance like this back when they were still around, each of their steps filled with the passion and love that they'd fostered for each other over the years and the fact that whenever he thought of the opposite of what controlling someone would be, he thought of loving someone.

As someone who truly loves you wouldn't try to control you and from what he'd seen first-hand, the salsa was a dance of passion and love.

She suddenly turned to look at him while saying, "If I'm going to die dancing let me decide the dance." As she pulled the ice dagger out of her stomach stabbed him in the stomach before throwing it aside. Holding onto his hands and leaning on him, she tried to dance a cha-cha-chá to no avail as she needed to rely on Tundra to move. Who was also now bleeding out.

Ellen changed the music to some Tristian music to fit the new vibe.

The half of her hair that was turning black slowly finished as Tundra moved around with a bit of a stagger. They were doing surprisingly well actually, before they fell onto the ground together.

Hirune laughed weakly while slowly turning to look at Tundra. "Sorry about that, I'm going to have a long talk with Namulenza about this later," Hirune said finally back to normal. Ellen rushed over to heal them as Hirune lost consciousness.

Yet when she looked at Hirune's wound, it was already healing. At a snail's pace but it was healing. The blood around the wound regressing into it and rebuilding whatever got damaged.

Ellen chuckled seeing this, 'She's barely adapted to this life, and she's already been blessed by Aka. They were right, she truly is something.'

Suddenly, Tundra laughed, "I'm never going to do something like that ever again."

Ellen sighed as she placed a hand on his wound and pressed against it hard, a dim yellow glow emitting from it as she healed him, "Why did you do it anyways? You haven't done anything of the sort for me or Kala before and you've known us for way longer. So why her?"

Tundra stared at the ceiling lost in thought before gazing at Hirune, "I guess I just see something in her. I don't really know why but after hearing her story, I, surprisingly was moved. I've never been the type to care for other people's stories or be moved by them but knowing she wants justice for all of Triste, even after what happened between her and her people... I couldn't help but think it was a truly foolish desire, yet it was the most righteous desire I'd ever seen. Probably because her desire is the only one I know but... I don't know, I feel like out of all of the desires in our little group hers is still the most noble."

Ellen looked at her. Hirune's breathing was soft and relaxed, her back falling and rising calmy. All she could see was a potential weapon to use against Demonia, nothing more, nothing less. Sure, she saw her as human still and planned to treat her as one, but she didn't see what Tundra saw in her. She saw a soldier that could be used in battle, as for Tundra, he saw her as a seeker of justice, even if she had some questionable methods sometimes.

While this happened, inside of Hirune's head Namulenza was profusely apologizing, "I'm So, so, so, so~, sorry Hiru! I didn't know it was you who I was inhabiting! If I knew I would've never done something so risky knowing how dangerous your polar opposite is to you! especially if I knew it was you!"

"Did you seriously think there was anyone else out there with the same name as me?" She asked with a raised eyebrow while taking a bite out of the slice of cake one of Namulenza's chef's baked for her. "Also, is this the Forsaken Realm or is it just me?"

"Yeah, whenever you lose consciousness, you come to a variant of the Forsaken Realm in which I'm in so you can discuss any matters you want to discuss with me," Namulenza responded. "You usually appear here when you're asleep, and with asleep I mean deep sleep, but your face was fogged up so I couldn't tell it was you up until now."

'And I thought I was just having sleep paralysis,' she thought as she finished her slice of cake. "So, where's Mr. Devi?"

"He's in the actual Forsaken Realm now that you've managed to forcibly unlock his powers, and before you ask about Mr. Yellow, he doesn't want to be perceived by us because he doesn't want us to go insane. So, he's out there somewhere."

Hirune yawned, "I'm going to take that as I'm either about to fully fall asleep or I'm about to wake up. Well, it was nice seeing you again."

Namulenza smiled and nodded, her eyes getting a bit puffy.

She yawned again and added, "Also, remember how you used to tell me all of your stories about bringing justice? Whenever I'm here, wake me up and tell me about them again. After all I'm sure you have plenty of stories left to tell." Finishing her words, her vision went black as she heard, "If it makes you happy, I'll gladly share all of my adventures with you."

And just like that Hirune was awake again, ready to fix the wrongs of bad Hirune, but most importantly, she was ready get back on course and continue to work towards liberating Triste.
