"My fellow mutants, I am extremely disappointed in you," Lancelot said, walking down the X-Men base hallway, his eyes filled with unmistakable disapproval.

"Disappointed?" Raven frowned, noticing the raw disappointment in Lancelot's gaze.

The other mutants—Alex, Sean Cassidy, Hank, and Darwin—glared at Lancelot even more fiercely.

As young mutants, they considered themselves exceptional, even unique. Over the past month, they had grown accustomed to humans staring at them like monsters.

But now, seeing another mutant—Lancelot—look at them with such disdain made them feel utterly unaccepted.

If not for Sabretooth Victor standing like an iron tower behind Lancelot, exuding a feral, bloodthirsty aura, they might have already lashed out.

"Still don't understand? What do you think a mutant is? A strange creature among humans? A deformity?" Lancelot sneered, glancing around.

Compared to Lancelot's experiences three years after becoming a mutant, these young mutants were still tender, like flowers in a greenhouse—they didn't yet realize how fundamentally different mutants were from humans.

"What is a mutant?" Mystique Raven pondered. Though she had studied under Professor X and graduated from Oxford University, she had never questioned the essence of her kind.

Professor X had taught her only how to hide herself so she could blend into human society.

He had never taught her what it truly meant to be a mutant.

"A mutant is someone with abilities different from ordinary humans," Alex (Shocker) said quietly, thoughtful. He studied the young Asian man before him and answered with care.

"Abilities that differ from the norm are just powers—not what makes a mutant," Lancelot interjected, scanning the group with disappointment.

"A mutant is a being awakened by the mutated genes hidden within human DNA."

From ancient times, mutant genes have been buried deep within humans. Over time, these genes awaken, giving birth to mutants. Lancelot's words corrected Alex's misconception.

Strictly speaking, everyone carries mutant genes, but most never awaken them in their lifetime. Only a few lucky individuals awaken these genes, mastering their powers, and becoming either normal or superhuman.

"This is humanity's spontaneous mutation and evolution. It is unstoppable," Lancelot said passionately, his voice reverberating through the room, stirring excitement among the young mutants.

"Mutation and evolution!" Raven's eyes flickered with understanding. No wonder Professor X often spoke of mutation and evolution. She realized that mutant powers stemmed from latent mutant genes hidden within humans.

"Exactly—mutation and evolution," Lancelot said, stepping in front of Raven, admiring her elegant blue form with a smile.

"There is a difference between the mediocre and the genius among humans. Geniuses, like Einstein or Howard Stark, are one-in-a-million. The mediocre blindly drift through life, ignorant and dull."

"And we—the awakened mutants—are the geniuses of evolution. We carry the mutated genes."

"We are the pioneers and revolutionaries of human evolution."

This is natural selection at work. The probability is one in a million. Mutants are the living proof of humanity's potential evolutionary path.

We explore and pave the way for human evolution through our very existence. Lancelot's voice grew more impassioned. Though not a traditional orator, his understanding of mutants gave him a visionary authority, making his speech inspiring.

"Are we the pioneers of human evolution? Explorers on the path of progress?"

"Were we born noble? Are we geniuses of evolution? How do we differ from humans?"

"Mutation and evolution?"

The young mutants—Alex, Sean Cassidy, Hank, and Darwin—who had initially held prejudice against Lancelot, were now inspired by his words.

Even Salvador, a humble dancer, was deeply moved, gazing at Lancelot with burning admiration. For the first time, she was seen as a genius, a great pioneer, and an explorer—not a freak or a lowly performer.

Raven looked at Lancelot with awe, like a little girl enchanted by her hero.

Previously, all of them had hidden their mutant abilities, afraid of being labeled freaks or monsters by human family and friends. But after hearing Lancelot's words, they felt pride in their identities.

Mutants are pioneers and revolutionaries of human evolution. Through their lives, existence, and abilities, they open a path for humanity, leading the current of human progress.

"My fellow mutants, being a mutant is an honor. We have embarked on the path of evolution. We are the leaders of human evolution, geniuses above billions of ordinary humans."

We are unique. We embody mutation and glory.

Remember, my fellow mutants: are we monsters? Freaks? No. We are geniuses beyond humanity, the future of human evolution.

We are born to be noble, to be respected.

Mutation and glory.

Lancelot's passionate, heartfelt speech left Raven and the others astonished. They felt a deep sense of identification with his vision of glory.

"So, Raven, do you still feel that your mutant powers are a burden?" Lancelot asked, gently touching her cheek, smiling.

"Mutation and glory," Raven repeated excitedly, echoing Lancelot's words.
