He looked at Scott and Stiles lying on the floor in the room and chuckled."These kids are always messy," he said, then brought his hand to his abdomen and once again stared thoughtfully at the wound.
At that moment Scott got up, and when he saw Sean standing, his voice came out louder than intended."Sean?!"
Stiles woke up as well, jolting upright."Sean?!" he exclaimed.
He was fully awake now and saw Sean standing over them.
Sean smiled."Good morning, princesses," he said mockingly.
Scott frowned."Hey man, you were dying and you're still joking?"
Sean looked at Stiles."I don't know… this attitude is starting to become a habit for me… because of someone."
Stiles lifted his chin proudly."Well, sure, you're not as good as me, but you're decent for a rookie."
Scott grew serious."You almost died, Sean. Why didn't you heal? And what exactly happened? After you left, I mean…"
Sean sighed and sat down on the bed."After you entered the classroom, I ran through the corridors. My vision was blurry. I was losing blood, but I kept running anyway. Then I reached the big gym the school's main sports hall and I saw the janitor. He was hanging. I noticed the key on his belt. I took it, and just as I was turning back to bring it to you… I ran into the Alpha. We clashed a bit, and I barely escaped his claws. And I know this much if he can't force me into his pack this full moon, he will definitely kill me. And you too, Scott."
Stiles blinked."Wow… how did you escape the Alpha, Sean?" It felt impossible to him. From everything he had researched online, escaping an Alpha was almost unheard of.
Sean looked at them seriously."Actually… I might not be a werewolf in the usual sense. Or rather maybe it's better if I show you."
Scott and Stiles both tensed, staring at Sean.
Sean met their gaze, and his eyes slowly began to change. Golden-yellow streaks crept across his pupils. As his eyes glowed gold, a faint shadow band began to seep outward from the whites of his eyes, slowly growing denser. Then his nails began to extend jet black, with shadows leaking from them. They looked like enchanted claws.
Scott and Stiles stared in shock, mouths hanging open. Once the transformation settled, Stiles noticed the shadows in the room beginning to move. They looked chained, as if bound together, merging with Sean's shadow.
Sean spoke calmly."When I turn into a werewolf, I feel my sense of self change, and my urge to hunt increases. No actually, I want to spill blood. My thirst for blood reaches its peak. It's like… I want to destroy anything that stands in the light."
Scott flinched at the words. Kill. Tear apart. Those weren't words that even crossed his mind. When he turned, his actions were instinctive, not intentional, and as he gained control, those urges faded. But Sean's situation was completely different nothing like his own.
Stiles studied Sean with a thoughtful expression. His transformation was different. There was nothing in any case he had researched that resembled this.
Sean continued."And since becoming a werewolf, I've developed a heightened sensitivity to control. From the very beginning, I controlled my transformation. Easily. And I think that's because of this trait."
After leaving them deep in thought, he stood up and began to put on some clothes. Just then, a sound came from the door. He immediately grabbed a clean sheet and covered the bed.
Melissa McCall entered the room."Hey kids. What are you doing? School's been canceled. There were some incidents."
She looked around and froze for a moment.ú."What is all this mess? And Stiles what are you doing here?" she said in shock.
Sean moved quickly."Mom, can you come with me for a second? I want to talk." As he stepped out of the room, he gestured for Scott and Stiles to clean up.
When Sean and Melissa went downstairs, they talked about trivial things. Sean carefully steered the conversation away from the previous night.
When Scott and Stiles came downstairs, they saw a breakfast table already set. They quickly sat down. Soon, drinks arrived, and everyone ate together.
Melissa asked Scott what had happened. Scott told her that he and Allison had broken up the night before. After getting home, he had called Allison using Stiles' phone and talked to her…
When night fell, the three of them went into the forest to drink.
Stiles was completely out of his mind, babbling nonsense, while Sean and Scott were fine. Stiles looked at them in disbelief. "Hey, you mutts don't tell me alcohol doesn't work on you?"
Sean chuckled. "Maybe my system just isn't as weak as yours."
Stiles waved a hand."Hey, hey, I'm fine, okay? I mean… I'm fine, right?"
Scott sighed."You're completely drunk."
Just then, two men approached them."Well, well… three teenagers out here. And drinking alcohol? You should leave this stuff to the adults, brats," one of them said as he took the bottle.
Scott stood up quickly and grabbed the man's arm."Give it back. Now," he said in a threatening tone.
The hand he kept hidden behind his back slowly began to change. His nails started to extend.
Sean watched from a distance, waiting to see what Scott would do.
"Scott?" Stiles said anxiously.
Scott snatched the bottle from the man's hand and hurled it at a tree. Then Stiles quickly pulled him away, and they returned to the car.
When Sean reached the car, he said,"Stiles, while you calm Scott down, I'm going to step behind that tree. Otherwise I'm going to piss myself."
Stiles nodded."Be careful, man. This place doesn't feel safe."
Sean waved him off and disappeared back into the forest.
In the woods, the two men were talking when Sean stepped out in front of them.
One of them smirked and stepped forward."Well, look at that. Isn't this one of those guys from earlier?"
He walked right up to him.
Sean's eyes began to change. With a single motion, he sliced the man's throat with his elongated claw.
"Really…" Sean said."You made a huge mistake by pissing me off. We were just having a normal time. My life is already fucked enough did you really have to make it worse?!"
Blood splattered across his face as he turned to the other man.
The man screamed in terror and turned to run but a hand clamped down on his head. Sean sank his teeth into the man's carotid artery, and when he tore away, blood poured out like a waterfall.
After killing both of them, Sean tossed their bodies into a nearby burning barrel. Then, as if nothing had happened, he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and his forehead and returned to Stiles.
