Sean moved quickly. "Stiles, call your father," he said, looking at him. "Tell him never to go into the woods today. Also, be careful." He rushed to the edge of the parking lot.
Stiles shouted after him, "You be careful too! Brother!"
Sean smirked, raised a hand in a wave, and jumped down.
Night fell completely, and as Sean entered the forest, he began to hear voices. As he drew closer, he saw Chris holding a gun on Kate, while Allison watched Scott with a bow in hand.
"You're holding a gun on a sixteen-year-old kid," Chris said. "We live by our rules! We only hunt those who hunt us." He fired his gun, and a bullet embedded itself in the tree next to Kate.
Meanwhile, the door to the Hale house slowly creaked open.
"Allison, get back," Chris said cautiously. Everyone's focus shifted to the door. Scott stood up quickly. "He's here... the Alpha." His eyes slowly turned golden yellow.
Peter suddenly burst through the door, knocking everyone down one by one. Then he appeared beside Kate, grabbed her by the throat, and hurled her toward the door before dragging her inside. Allison immediately ran in after them.
Peter held his claws to Kate's throat. "Apologize. Apologize for slaughtering my family and leaving me burned and broken for six years. Say it..." His eyes welled up. He looked as if he were in pain. He continued, "And I might let you live."
"I'm sorry," Kate whispered. But Peter made a decision and slit her throat.
"Didn't sound very sincere to me," he said.
As he stepped toward Allison, Scott and Derek appeared. The two attacked simultaneously. Peter quickly threw them both in different directions. He slammed Derek into the ceiling and hurled Scott against the wall. He grabbed Scott again. Enraged, Scott punched him in the face. Then again, and again.
As Peter grew angrier, his face began to shift. He threw Scott aside. Having fully transformed into a monstrous werewolf, he grabbed Scott and launched him outside.
Standing outside, Chris and Allison cried out, "Scott!" Peter emerged from the house and approached Scott. Just as he was about to grab him, a hand stopped him.
"I told you. If you hurt a member of my family... I don't even know what will happen."
Blood was trickling from Scott's mouth. Chris and Allison looked at the newcomer. "Sean?" Chris said in surprise. How was this possible? Allison seemed to realize. Suddenly, everything clicked into place.
As Sean's claws gripped Peter's arm, he said, "Kate is already dead, isn't she? Wasn't that enough for you, Peter?" After saying this, he was flung back by a sudden burst of strength, hitting a tree. Scott and Chris shouted in unison, "Sean?!"
"Eheheh... it's coming... here it comes!! That feeling!! It's coming again!!"
The words spread through the forest like a demon's whisper. Slowly, a black and crimson mist became visible through the dust.
Sean stood up slowly and brushed the dirt off himself. He pulled off his shirt. Then, he began to transform.
The entire forest began to be baptized in the scent of blood. Every shadow seemed to turn toward Sean as if saluting its master. Seeing this, Chris realized that the werewolf from that day was Sean. He quickly pulled Allison behind him.
Meanwhile, Sean's hair began to grow. Once it reached his chest, his eyes glowed golden yellow. The whites of his eyes turned pitch black. "RRAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!"As a terrifying roar echoed through the forest, a pitch-black shadow power began to flow through his every vein.
"Ahahahah! AHAHAHAH!!" he laughed crazily. A terrifying bloodlust began to alter the world around them. Dark clouds gathered in the sky. Lightning struck the forest. Everyone who felt that horrific bloodlust clutched their throats as if they were being torn apart.
Peter vanished from his spot and lunged at Sean. As he went to strike, Sean dodged with a swift movement and used Peter's momentum to land a heavy punch to his stomach.
The force sent Peter flying back, toppling several trees. As he slowly stood up, he noticed Sean's shadows attempting to pin him down like chains. Just as he broke free from the chains, a claw tore through his back.
Peter roared in pain. As he scrambled away, he looked at Sean from a distance.
Sean chuckled. "Remember, Peter? You made me feel this same pain while I was protecting Lydia! You could have stopped then, but you didn't. You wounded me just to prove you were superior. We're even now, aren't we? Eheheh..." A demonic expression played on his face.
Scott looked at Sean strangely for a moment. This wasn't Sean. He quickly pulled away and moved toward Chris. "Mr. Argent, that's not Sean. I'm a hundred percent sure. Have you ever encountered anything like this?"
"I've never seen it, but I've read about it," Chris said. "He's acting on instinct. That power isn't him; the power is controlling him. His consciousness is barely there... if this goes on much longer, he might lose himself completely. He probably wants to sacrifice himself to protect us. That way, he'll have the strength to stop even an Alpha. But..."
Before he could finish, Peter's claw slashed across Sean's chest during their struggle.
As Sean retreated, clutching his wound, his face remained completely devoid of expression. Peter smirked and licked the blood off his claws. Seeing this, Sean's face twisted with rage. The shadow emanating from his eyes slowly began to cover his entire body. When it reached his wound, the injury vanished as if it had never existed.
But after this happened, the aura Sean radiated grew even darker. It intensified powerfully. As if commanded, the falling rain stopped. The grass around him began to wither. When he lifted his head, his eyes were entirely pitch black like bottomless wells. At that moment, the sound of a horn blared, a car arrived, and Stiles jumped out, throwing a Molotov cocktail at the distracted Peter.
Peter caught the Molotov in mid-air and looked at Stiles. Just as he was about to throw it back, Sean moved, grabbing and breaking the Molotov in Peter's hand. Both their arms caught fire simultaneously. Peter screamed in agony.
Jackson quickly threw another one. "Sean!! Catch!" Sean caught the Molotov in a swift motion and smashed it against the Alpha's stomach. Both were engulfed in flames. Sean quickly tackled the Alpha to the ground, shredded his fur with several claw strikes, and then pulled back. He was burning. His body was a mass of flames!
As Sean retreated, his shadow-covered body slowly faded, and a cry of agony escaped him. "Arggghhhh!" He was burning. The pain was forcing him back into human form. Sean plunged his hand into the ground, and as the shadows merged with him, the fire on his body died out and he collapsed. His face wasn't burned, but the same couldn't be said for his body.
Everyone rushed to Sean's side as he lay there. Chris, Allison, Jackson, Stiles, and Scott stood over him. At that moment, someone appeared over the dying Peter. Derek. Derek slit Peter's throat with his claw. He stood up slowly and looked at everyone. His eyes glowed a vibrant crimson.
"I'm the Alpha now!" he declared with absolute authority.
The day passed, and Sean woke up at home the next morning. Stiles and Scott were waiting by his side. The scene felt strangely familiar to him. He raised his hand and smacked Stiles who was drooling and soaking the edge of the bed on the head. "Hey, you disgusting prick! Are you drooling on my bed?!" Stiles jumped in pain, and when he looked up, he saw Sean looking at him with a smile.
Stiles smiled back. "You're okay, man. It really happened just like the girl said." He looked as if he were replaying the previous night in his mind.
Sean was taken aback for a moment. "Girl? What girl are you talking about?"
Stiles sighed and began to explain as Scott woke up. "You were dying when you hit the ground. No one knew what to do. Derek became the Alpha in that two-faced way of his. Then, a girl came up to us. Dude... she was seriously beautiful. She had pitch-black hair and an aura just like yours. She tossed us all aside with a single wave of her hand and came to your side. Then she said, 'Have you really forgotten me, my love?' and kissed you on the lips. Your wounds your burned body slowly started to heal. Then she stood up and vanished as if nothing had happened. Just like you... she disappeared into the shadows. Man... before you came to this town, when you were living with your father... exactly what kind of life did you have?"
Sean clutched his head and winced in pain. "I don't know... it's like something won't let me access those memories." Every time he tried to remember the past, he found himself writhing in agony.
