Chapter 11 - Fairness

Benjamin made sure everything was ready, carefully checked his trench coat pockets, and headed for the door.

He had already received the news.

Just now, Kirsty's father had cut his hand on a nail while moving the sofa, severing a blood vessel, and had to go to the hospital for stitches.

So, by now, Frank and YingMeisha, the woman in the baseball cap, had probably escaped from hell.

Benjamin, carrying his suitcase, got into his car and drove smoothly to Larry's wooden house.

Kirsty's stepmother, Julie, was still inside.

According to the report, this woman hadn't come down from the attic since going up, and half an hour had passed.

She had probably already discovered Frank and the woman in the baseball cap in the attic.

Benjamin decided to capture them while they were still in their blood-soaked, zombie state and hadn't yet received blood restoration.

He could also rescue Kirsty's father, Larry, which was the best Benjamin could do for Kirsty at the moment.

If as the timeline progresses, Julie starts luring men from bars to the wooden house to worship Frank and YingMeisha, the woman with the duckbill cap, in order to restore their human bodies, it will be difficult to catch these two cursed disciples.

Arriving at the wooden house, Benjamin slowly unlocked the door with his key.

As for why he had the key to this wooden house,

he had obtained it through some means on his first day in Hatton.

After entering, he gently closed the door behind him, leaving it unlocked to avoid cutting off his escape route.

Benjamin then took out a shotgun from his briefcase and carefully made his way up to the attic.

The dark cabin was quiet, without a sound.

Benjamin slowly walked to the attic door on the second floor, where Frank had been killed, without encountering Julie along the way.

Benjamin suddenly kicked the attic door.

In the instant he kicked the door, he quickly retreated, simultaneously pulling the trigger, emptying the magazine of his shotgun.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of gunshots rang out, bullets piercing the attic door, splinters flying everywhere...

And in the instant the wooden door was kicked open, Julie, her remaining upper body gripping a dagger, suddenly lunged out from inside.

She missed, falling straight down the stairwell.

By this time, Benjamin had already used the recoil from kicking the door to retreat to the stairwell entrance, reloading his gun.

Julie's lunge landed perfectly on the trajectory of the shotgun shells, catching every bullet precisely.

Her skin, torn like shredded paper by the bullets, revealed the withered skeleton beneath, struggling on the ground.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Benjamin emptied his gun again before quietly watching Julie.

Julie's skin was completely shattered, falling to the ground to reveal her skull—a predominantly male skull, clearly Frank's.

Only then did Benjamin begin to observe them closely:

Frank's body consisted only of the upper skeleton, with bone fragments protruding at the tailbone.

A sliver of flesh clung to the bone fragments; his hand bones had been broken.

Only half a bare skeleton remained, helplessly slumped on the ground, writhing by gnawing at the earth.

The human skin Julie was wearing over him was tattered and riddled with bullet holes.

Ignoring Frank, Benjamin shouted into the attic:

"Get out of there, you blood-soaked corpse, or I'll throw a grenade!"

With a creaking sound, a female skeleton, its upper body only reaching the chest cavity, its heart still hanging in the air, slowly emerged, using its two fleshless arms to support itself on the floor. This skeleton was YingMeisha, the woman in the baseball cap.

Benjamin stared at the tragic situation of these two people on the ground.

He was secretly glad that he knew the story development of this world and had planned his resurrection.

He hadn't expected them to kill Julie, who was supposed to be worshipping them, and their recovery was so poor; even their skeletons hadn't fully returned to normal.

But then again, Julie in the story had acted that way because she lingered on her past passion with Frank and was lured in by the skeleton Frank's promises.

And now, not only Frank had been resurrected, but also the woman in the baseball cap.

Julie was likely too traumatized to accept Frank's promises and refused to worship them, leading to her death.

Benjamin had never considered saving this woman who, in the story, had seduced men to worship Frank and had an affair with her brother-in-law.

He had even thought that if she were alive, he could shoot her while he was at it, to prevent her from seeking revenge someday.

"Ahhh…"

"I'm going to kill you, hehehe…"

Frank roared, glaring angrily at Benjamin.

Benjamin ignored Frank's gaze.

"You're angry?"

"You think anger can change your fate?"

"Stop yelling! Have some pity on your poor lungs!"

Benjamin stood quietly, reloading his gun while coldly staring at Frank, saying, "Oh, sorry, I forgot you don't have lungs."

"Who are you? Why are you killing me? Why are you killing me? Why…"

"I can sense that we are all blood corpses. Let me go, please! I'll be your slave… I'll let you…" the woman in the baseball cap pleaded frantically.

Benjamin still had no intention of revealing his true identity.

He picked up the loaded shotgun, pointed it at the two of them again, and said expressionlessly:

"Who am I?"

"I'm definitely not your friend!"

"Madam, you're too clever, frighteningly clever!"

This woman, with just one glance, drew Benjamin's real appearance, which meant Benjamin would never let her go.

He has a deep impression of those people in his past life's novels who were treated like pigs by the gods of the infinite space.

Frank was gnawing at the ground, slowly crawling towards the fallen knife beside him.

"You seem pretty defiant?" Benjamin, confirming the two were no longer a threat, strode forward and kicked the knife away:

"Come on!"

"I'll give you a chance now, both of you come at me together."

"Everyone here is cursed disciple. I'm fighting two of you, and I won't use a gun!"

"If you've got the guts, let us return to human form!" Frank, unable to move, could only frantically gnaw at the sole of Benjamin's boot. "Watch me tear you to shreds."

"Sorry, your chance is useless, you're the one who'll die!"

Bang~ Bang~!

"Please…"

Bang!

Benjamin aimed at their cervical vertebrae and fired three more shots.

The gunshots ended, and two skulls fell to the ground, rolling a foot away, the remaining bodies still writhing.

Benjamin pulled out a woven bag and, from Frank's still-twitching chest, pulled out his heart.

Holding it in his hand, he sensed that the heart seemed to contain an energy.

A thought struck Benjamin, and he tentatively used his blood-draining ability to absorb it.

The heart in his hand suddenly deflated slightly.

A surge of energy flowed into Benjamin's body, feeling as refreshing as drinking an ice-cold cola when thirsty.

Moreover, Benjamin could feel his body become slightly stronger, albeit very little, only about 2%.

He estimated that absorbing the entire heart would enhance him by about 10%.

Disciples can strengthen themselves by absorbing energy from blood.

Benjamin remembered that in Hellraiser comic, it was mentioned that the High Priest Pinhead had absorbed the power of 3000 mages, gaining immense power.

Disciples indeed possessed this ability to absorb energy from blood.

However, after being transformed into a Hellish Cenobite, in addition to the basic energy absorption, he was also given a central nervous system capable of feeling pain.

They could strengthen themselves by absorbing the pain of nothingness; he, a mere cursed disciple, was far from that level.

A thought struck Benjamin, and he planned to directly absorb the two cursed disciple hearts in his hands.

At that moment, a powerful gust of wind shattered the window, and a skeletal dragon, its body wreathed in ghostly flames, appeared in the air.

It transformed into the form of a homeless man and appeared in the attic.

Ignoring Benjamin, it went directly to the mattress, picked up the Lemarchand's Box with its metallic patterns from the floor,

then went to the window, transformed back into a skeletal dragon, and flew westward.

Benjamin watched the skeletal dragon leave with the Lemarchand's Box. He knew this was a hermit of Hell, a top-tier intermediary, that only accessible to the High Priest Pinhead.

"Damn it!"

Benjamin looked in the direction the skeletal dragon had flown off, his heart sinking.

This was his villa, in the direction of Second Avenue.

"Kirsty!"
