Alice's POV
I stared at Sophia standing in our living room, holding a pregnancy test with broken glass surrounding her feet from the vase she'd smashed. Her mascara ran down her cheeks in black streaks.
"Get out," Bryan said, his voice cold and sharp.
"Did you hear what I said?" Sophia's voice rose higher. "I'm pregnant! With your baby!"
"That's impossible," Bryan said, stepping between us like he was shielding me. "We haven't been together in over two years."
"Liar!" she screamed, and I flinched at the sound. "We were together three months ago! At the Parker Hotel after that charity auction!"
My stomach twisted. Three months ago was before I met Bryan. Before the contract and before everything was even thought of happening.
"I wasn't at any charity auction three months ago," Bryan said calmly, but his jaw was tight. "I was in Singapore closing the Chen deal. Antonio was with me the entire time."
