Although the new goblin chief, who used to be the ex-goblin chief's son, was the leader of the village in papers, Lucky ruled under the shadows.
Most of his orders were passed to the elven sisters, and the sisters passed his orders to the new chief.
Most of the villagers already knew about Lucky being the de facto leader, or rather, ruler of the village.
Hell, even the elves were openly showing themselves in the village.
And yet, he still kept himself hidden. Only showing up occassionally at night in the village.
There were 2 reasons.
One had already been explained, to keep himself hidden from outsiders.
Unlike the elves who had justification for being in the village, i.e. being formerly slaves to the now-deceased magic-wielding goblin chief, he had no reason to be in the village.
Elves as a race were already known to abnormally beautiful, so becoming more beautiful after turning into vampires did not matter.
And since his appearance made him obvious that he was a human that turned into a vampire, he kept himself hidden.
The second reason was, he just didn't feel like it.
There will come a time far in the future where he will certainly reveal himself to the world, but now wasn't.
He was still weak by the standards of this world.
Thus, he needed to become more powerful.
He had no clue how to become more powerful as a vampire.
And since he was also a progenitor, known to be extremely powerful beings ever since their inception, he was confused as to why he wasn't like those rumoured progenitors.
What he knew however was the fact that the Book of Ascendancy was the key to upping his power level.
And thus, over the coming weeks, he pursued 2 main goals.
Strengthening himself and strengthening the village.
To strengthen himself, he researched the language of the book.
Day-by-day, he inched closer. Although the progress was extremely slow, his intuition told him that he might crack the code in just a couple months.
Draconic Mind was that busted of a power when it comes to learning languages.
The language of the gods written in the book could take decades of years to figure out even with Earth's modern linguistic science.
This was because there was barely any patterns to the characters used in the writing. Each character had a different symbol and meaning, similar to Hanzi that the people in China use.
However, since there was no one who spoke this language around him, he had to figure it out from scratch. Not to mention, the writings did not have any similarities to the languages of this world.
Even after asking the elves and the goblins, they had told him that there was no language script that had even an inkling of a similarity to it.
Lucky had a hunch that the god who wrote the book was not from this planet, which made him anxious.
If the god wasn't from this planet, then most of the contents might not even be applicable even if he was lucky.
So aside from figuring out the language of the book, he had to focus on strengthening the village.
To do so, he encouraged the goblins to reproduce more.
More goblins meant more manpower.
More manpower meant that he could gradually develop the village's society even more.
And thus, he ordered the chief to expand the village.
Roads and new buildings were being built.
Although their construction skills were sub-par, the villagers steadily built the new buildings and roads.
A new main road was built, connecting the huge cave system to the village.
In front of the cave, new buildings were built.
These buildings served as the new homes for the vampire goblins.
Even though most of them were daywalkers, Lucky prefered that the old village would be sparse of vampires.
This was a cautious and necessary step to help hide the secret a bit longer.
Lucky also ordered the 3rd generation vampires to build him a huge house in front of the cave that used to be his old house.
He had plans for the cave system, but they would only happen far in the future.
For now, the new house sufficed.
Once the roads and new buildings were constructed, he opened a school.
He planned to elevate the scientific knowledge of his new people.
Then, he became a teacher along with the elves.
The school buildings were situated in the border of the forest entrance. It was both to educate the goblin vampires living in the forest, and the normal goblins living in the old village.
Whilst Lucky taught what he knew about modern science starting from the basics, the elves taught the goblins writing.
The writing system was a blend of the simplistic goblin writing with the highly complex writing of the elves.
This new writing system was invented by Lucky, who took inspiration from Korea's Hangul.
Why create a new writing system? Because it was necessary to do so.
He needed a way to teach Earth terms using this world's language.
And to do so, he needed it be very easy to learn, phonetically familiar to this world's inhabitants, and complex enough to describe science in an efficient way.
The creation of the new writing system also had a byproduct. In doing so, he had effectively created a new language.
A language created by mixing Earth's technical, scientific, and modern terms, with the native Elven and Goblin tongue.
Not knowing what to name it, he took inspiration from the Book of Ascendancy, and just named his new writing system and language as "Ascend."
In a medieval world full of wars using swords and magic between fantasy races, a new language and writing system was born.

In a certain bustling town full of goblins, a festival was being held.
But unlike other goblin towns, this one was a bit peculiar.
Although the majority of the goblins ate and drank regular food, around a third of them were drinking blood.
Yes, this was the same village Lucky had settled in.
The village had grown into a small town.
Five years have passed since Lucky's arrival to this world.
