Since it was already 5 PM and the day was growing darker, Lucky lit up an oil lamp.
Though he could see in the dark, he wanted to act like a modern human being for once
Changing into his home clothes, he picked up the Book of Ascendancy, and started reading on the bed.
'Reading a book in bed with two beautiful girls sleeping beside you, now that's a good life,' he thought happily.
Though the progress of their relationship were slow, that's what he liked. He didn't want to rush things like he did in his past life.
Moreover, the elves were a race of people who took relationships extremely slow. So for the three sisters, it's par for the course.
The most that they had done were kissing and holding hands.
Lucky reenacted the scenes of his romance with the 3 girls in his mind, 'these last few days have definitely been extremely delightful....'
'Now, let's start solving the puzzle....' thought Lucky as he read the Book of Ascendancy.
What he thought would take a few months at its worst, was taking over 5 years at this point.
The language contained within the book was unlike any other language.
The rules of its grammar, the logic of its sentences and paragraphs, the way its writing system worked, they were all extremely esoteric to say the least.
Rather than a regular language, it was more similar to a programming language. Thankfully, Draconic Mind made it easier for him to learn programming language even though he only saw tidbits of it in his past life due to only being a businessman that dealt with selling computers.
No, calling it a mere programming language would be insulting it.
It was as if it was originally written in a 3-dimensional medium, but crammed into a 2-dimensional object.
Not to mention, every single part of it was encrypted in a highly complex logic.
And thus, without solving the encryption, the reader would be stuck looking at meaningless words and symbols.
This time, Draconic Mind only helped a tiny bit, as language only comprised a portion of cryptography,.
So for the last 5 years, not only was Lucky solving the language like a linguist, he was also solving it like he was a programmer and a cryptographer.
Even with Draconic Mind, he felt like it was the hardest and most complex task he had ever taken.
His notes about the book alone could fill up an entire section of the cave library.
And it did. As he planned to make the knowledge about the book's language public, he had put his notebooks in the cave library.
'After this is over, I can finally complete the collection,' thought Lucky.
And finally, after a couple hours of rereading and taking mental notes, he solved the encoding and decoding.
The progress was slow and was mostly through brute force, but he had finally done it.
Once his Draconic Mind decrypted the encryption, it was as if a dam had burst. A dam of knowledge.
"Hahahahaha!!!" He laughed loudly with tears filling up his eyes. This caused the sleeping Elena and Erina to begin waking up.
He began to understand the sentences. What was once characters and words written in a jumbled and logically absurd way due to the encryption and tha language's own complexity, began rearranging in his mind.
He promptly got out of the bed and went to his reading desk.
Then, he took out an emoty book.
'It's time to translate it,' he thought.
Elena and Erina gazed sleepily towards Lucky's fervent writing.
They looked at each other knowingly, smiled, and then went back to sleep.
In both of their minds, they thought, 'he finally did it.'
****
A couple hours later, he had finally finished.
On his reading desk, 13 books were stacked onto each other.
These 13 books were filled with the entirety of the Book of Ascendacy.
Indeed, when translated into Ascend, it had filled 13 times the space that the original had filled.
'Is my Ascend just that inefficient when conveying information?' Questioned Lucky in his head.
'No, it's this unknown deity's lnaguage that is too compressed,' he self-answered.
Leaning his back on his chair, he finally noticed his surroundings.
"Hmm? Since when have you both beside me?" Asked Lucky.
"We've been here ever since we woke up an hour ago," answered Elena.
Apparently, even with his vampiric enhanced senses, he had been too focused on transcribing his translation to even notice his close surroundings.
"It's time for our breakfast," said Erina with a grin.
"You mean dinner?" Retorted Lucky.
"Hehe," laughed Erina.
"That was a bad joke," complained Elena with a disappointed look.
"No, I think it's a good one," said Lucky.
"Now, it's time for the morning kisses," added Lucky as he went to kiss Elena on her lips.
"You mean night kisses?" Retorted Elena, accepting the kiss with a monotone look of disapproval to his joke.
"Pfftt!! Good one!" Chuckled Erina, initiating her kiss after Elena's was done.
Apparently, Elena liked the joke.

Having moved only today, there was still no kitchen or dining furniture yet.
Thus, the group of three went to find Ella first.
Since it was dinner time, Ella should be on her way back or even had already returned to the old house.
Opening the massive castle's front door, the three faw Ella walking casually whilst checking the castle walls.
"Ella! You're here!" Greeted Lucky.
"I'm back!" She greeted back with a smile.
This time, Lucky went straight for her lips without wasting more time.
Due to Ella's packed work hours, Lucky saw her the least out of the three sisters.
So he cherished the moments when they're together the most.
"No jokes this time?" Complained Erina with a hint of jealousy.
"Shhhh, she's the one working the hardest out of us three, it's her reward for doing so," silenced Elena.
After seeing how long Lucky and Ella were kissing, even Elena felt a hint of jealousy.
'Hold it, she barely sees him due to her schedule, so I shouldn't complain,' Elena thought to herself, holding back her own jealousy.
