Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The False Reincarnator Tang Hao

Chapter 29: The False Reincarnator Tang Hao

Seeing their side trapped in a desperate situation, Ah Yin hurriedly tried to appeal emotionally. She said, "Yuhao, don't you care about Wutong's feelings?"

"Wutong… hahahahaha." Hearing that name, Huo Yuhao laughed in fury.

"What are you laughing at?" Tang Hao demanded.

"Don't think I don't know. From the start, you all planned to use your daughter to control me. Yes, I did fall for Wang Dong'er and Wang Qiu'er," Huo Yuhao sneered coldly. As a transmigrator, he knew perfectly well where Wang Dong'er and Wang Qiu'er came from, which was why he remained cautious from the very beginning. Naturally, his relationship with them hadn't developed as quickly as it did for the original Huo Yuhao. Still, he had been touched by their devotion. Thinking of this, he continued, "But just as I began to feel love, her dear father killed them both—leaving behind a stitched-together abomination."

"Silence! Wutong is no abomination. She is Wang Dong'er and Wang Qiu'er!" Ah Yin shouted in fury.

Huo Yuhao's eyes blazed. "Only you people could call a patchwork of broken soul fragments your granddaughter. But I would never call her my lover. Would you love the leash around your neck?"

"So, your love for Wutong was fake? What did you do to her?" Ah Yin asked, panic and rage mixing in her voice.

"Since Tang San used his daughter to watch me, he can't blame me for taking control of her mind. I let her charm Tang San instead. Back and forth they went—turns out she was just a tool!" Huo Yuhao said coldly.

"No—!" Ah Yin's consciousness faltered. Injured heavily by the Life Core, she was struck again by the Plane's Will. Her divine body shattered, her soul beginning to fragment.

"Ah Yin—!" Tang Hao roared in agony. Ignoring Huo Yuhao's assault, he turned to try and save her.

"Brother Hao, don't—" Ah Yin shouted in her final moment, as her soul disintegrated completely.

"You'd better worry about yourself." While Tang Hao was distracted, Huo Yuhao thrust forward with Black Tiger Heart Strike, his hand piercing Tang Hao's back and clutching his still-beating heart.

"Huo Yuhao, Life Core, Plane Will—don't celebrate too soon. Little San is a God King. He'll avenge me and Ah Yin!" Tang Hao coughed blood, body trembling, but his voice remained defiant.

"Sea God, Shura God, Butterfly God, Plane Sovereign, Life Core—and let's not forget the three thrones your family schemed for: Destruction, Life, and Dragon God. The Tang family would build a towering divine palace spanning both Douluo Continent and the God Realm, hosting a banquet of endless guests. If you'd survived this tribulation, none in either world could ever challenge your rule." Huo Yuhao's fingers toyed idly with Tang Hao's still-beating heart, his blue eyes gleaming with mockery. "What an honor, then, that I am your downfall—the one who topples your divine palace."

"What… do you mean?" A flicker of dread passed through Tang Hao's mind.

"Mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. Your 'Little San' is already waiting for you in hell." With that, Huo Yuhao crushed Tang Hao's heart in his hand.

"Rebelled! The Tang family's son-in-law has turned on his masters!"

Tang Hao roared in anger—and suddenly sat upright in his inn bed.

"What? The Tang family's what? Hao, what are you rambling about?" From the other bed, Tang Xiao looked at him with confusion.

Hearing the voice, Tang Hao turned to look at him. For a moment, he didn't even recognize his brother.

"You're… Tang Xiao?"

"Have you lost your mind? Of course I'm Tang Xiao!" Tang Xiao replied.

Tang Hao slowly placed his hand over his chest, feeling his heart beating—it was still there. He was still alive.

For someone accustomed to the absolute power of a plane's master, his current, frail self felt utterly alien.

Tang Xiao? My brother died twenty thousand years ago. How can this be? he thought, suspicion flashing in his eyes.

He questioned his brother about the current year, the state of the continent, and other details. After carefully piecing everything together, Tang Hao came to a single conclusion—

He had been reborn.

Reborn twenty thousand years in the past, when the Spirit Hall had yet to be destroyed, Tang San had not been born, and his relationship with Ah Yin had yet to be settled.

Right now, he was as weak as an ant—only a Soul Saint.

But perhaps… that wasn't a bad thing.

Tang San was a man of unmatched brilliance. Every step he took had elevated the Tang family, leading them to become not just the pinnacle of Douluo Continent, but of the universe itself.

Yet the one thing Tang San miscalculated—was Huo Yuhao. That ungrateful wolf could neither be raised nor tamed.

The title of Child of Destiny should have belonged to the Tang family. They had given it to Huo Yuhao instead, nurturing him, marrying him a beautiful granddaughter, helping him ascend to the ranks of a first-class god—only for him to turn on them at their peak.

Every time Tang Hao recalled Ah Yin's fall, and that final moment when Huo Yuhao crushed his heart, he burned with a hatred so fierce he wished he could leap through time and personally slaughter that treacherous wolf cub ten thousand years later.

But now that he was reborn—even if it was a bit early—that was fine.

In his last life, he hadn't known about Tang San's backing from the Shura God, nor that his desperate escapes from the Spirit Hall had all been under divine protection. Only after Tang San's ascension did Tang Hao learn the truth.

All along, the Shura God had been shielding their family, and the Killing God Domain could awaken divine power in critical moments, letting him defeat foes beyond his level with ease.

With a backing that strong, what was there to fear? The Spirit Hall's Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu were nothing but brittle skeletons in his eyes. Given another chance, he'd gladly trample their pride and humiliation beneath his feet.

His heart surged with fervor. Reviewing his memories carefully, he realized that in this era, the Spirit Hall wasn't truly a threat at all. Even if they followed the same path as before, Tang San was destined to ascend. By then, two gods united would easily obliterate the Spirit Hall. The only real danger was Huo Yuhao, far in the distant future.

But by the time that era arrived, Tang San would already be a supreme God King. Dealing with a yet-unformed Child of Destiny would be effortless. All Tang Hao needed to do was remind Tang San to beware of him.

"What a pity," Tang Hao sighed. "Twenty thousand years as a god, and I never once took the time to study the soul tool technology of ten millennia later, or the battle armor advancements from twenty thousand years ahead. I dismissed them as trivial tricks—but with that knowledge, I could have empowered Little San even more."

"Hao, you've been acting strange today. Are you unwell?" Tang Xiao's voice pulled him from his thoughts.

"I'm fine—just a bit unsettled, that's all," Tang Hao replied quickly, shaking his head.

"If you're fine, then good. Today's the day we both confess our love to Ah Yin!" Tang Xiao grinned, relieved.

Tang Hao nodded. His brother's words stirred deep memories from twenty thousand years ago. On this very day, he and Tang Xiao had confessed to Ah Yin together—never expecting that it would become the turning point in both their destinies.
