Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Recording the Sea King’s Talent Aura

Chapter 30: Recording the Sea King's Talent Aura

Uncle Witt looked at Luo Han, surprised and shocked—he hadn't expected Luo Han to reach Cole's level of physical talent so quickly.

And now, he was even attempting to record a Sea King's physical talent aura. Everyone knew that Sea Kings, especially those over 10,000 meters, had extraordinarily high physical aptitude.

Gazing at the massive shadows looming beneath the sea, Uncle Witt's expression darkened.

What a pity… there's just not enough time!

"Is there anything I need to do, Luo Han?" Uncle Witt asked.

Luo Han fixed his eyes on the super-giant Sea King shaped like an eel deep beneath the sea.

After a moment, he replied, "Probably not! I'll be using my spiritual sense to record the aura of that Sea King's physical talent. I don't know if it'll sense me doing it, so if anything happens, I'll need you to alert me."

"Alright. Go ahead—I'll keep watch," Uncle Witt replied gravely.

Luo Han then closed his eyes and focused his spiritual sense on the 20,000-meter-long Sea King.

Under his perception, the Sea King's talent aura radiated like the sun—brilliant and intense.

But because it was so bright, recording it was difficult—like trying to absorb a vast and complex signal. It would take a long time to fully record.

Time passed slowly. Luo Han remained hovering in the sky, motionless, his telekinesis still active.

Uncle Witt watched the Sea King below with tense focus, ready to alert Luo Han at the first sign of danger.

After a while, Luo Han's body began to change—shrinking and growing thinner.

Seeing this, Uncle Witt realized Luo Han had reached a critical point in the recording process.

It was just like when he first developed telekinesis.

Sigh… Luo Han's still too impatient. He should've asked me to prepare Rainbow Fish last night for energy recovery.

Let's hope he makes it through…

Within Luo Han's perception, his spirit continued to record the aura transmitted through his spiritual sense.

Finally, as the last trace of aura was imprinted, Luo Han completed the recording of the super-giant Sea King's physical talent.

It was far more difficult than recording Cole's. Understandably so—if a human possessed the talent of a super-giant Sea King, they would be terrifying. At the very least, comparable to Big Mom.

Luo Han opened his eyes. Uncle Witt immediately asked, "Luo Han! Did it work?"

"It's done. Now comes the strengthening phase," Luo Han answered.

"Alright! Let's head back and get you a Rainbow Fish. You look like a skeleton right now," Uncle Witt said.

Sigh… Luo Han was a bit helpless. Every time he used his Spiritual Fruit ability, his stamina drained rapidly.

But this only confirmed that the ability to record physical talent aura came from the fruit itself—his spiritual sense merely acted as a medium.

"Let's go, Uncle Witt!" Luo Han said.

With that, they flew at high speed down to the island's lower layer.

Splash! As soon as they arrived, Uncle Witt dove into the lake to catch a fish.

Forget it. I'll let Uncle Witt handle it.

Luo Han could've just used telekinesis to grab one, but seeing Uncle Witt's urgency moved him. He decided not to interfere.

A moment later, Uncle Witt surfaced.

"Eat up!" he said, handing over the prepared fish meat.

Luo Han said nothing, just started eating. As the Rainbow Fish went down, his body began to swell back to normal.

"Still not quite enough, Uncle Witt," Luo Han said, looking at his still-thin arms.

"Here! Take another," Uncle Witt said, handing him another prepared fish.

Luo Han continued eating.

Huff... huff... Finally, his body returned to full strength.

"I'm good now, Uncle Witt. Let's get back to patrolling," Luo Han said, checking his condition and looking up.

"Mhm." Uncle Witt nodded.

Whoosh! Whoosh! They soared from the bottom of the island back up to the boundary zone to continue their patrol.

...

The sound of wind howled around them as Luo Han and Uncle Witt hovered above a section of the boundary zone, gazing down.

Their entire bodies radiated a sense of helplessness.

Another super-giant Sea King had appeared—this one resembling a crab, impossibly massive.

It spanned roughly 10,000 meters, not even counting its mountain-sized pincers. Its entire body was covered in thick armor.

Despair crept over both Luo Han and Uncle Witt.

Luo Han's body trembled. He fell to his knees mid-air, eyes brimming with tears.

"Uncle Witt… what… what are we going to do?" he asked, trying his best not to cry.

Uncle Witt trembled at the question—then fell silent.

Faced with this sight, even the normally resolute Uncle Witt was at a loss for words.

Luo Han looked again at the Sea King. His spiritual sense told him this creature had even greater talent than the eel-shaped one from earlier.

"We should go back, Luo Han. We don't need to patrol anymore," Uncle Witt said.

"Why?"

Luo Han's voice was low.

"Have you given up, Uncle Witt?"

Uncle Witt looked down at the sea, then turned back to Luo Han.

"We don't need to patrol anymore. It's clear now—they're not going to attack before the Scaled Fruit ripens.

More super-giant Sea Kings will come. Their king will keep the others in check.

Let's go back and figure out how to evacuate everyone from the island."

Hearing this, Luo Han slowly stood. His gaze became resolute. As long as they could save everyone, that was enough.

Later, they regrouped with Uncle Kate and explained the situation, then flew back to Ring Tree Island.

That night, bright moonlight bathed the island. Its soft glow seemed capable of washing away sorrow—

—but it couldn't ease the worry weighing on everyone's hearts. A heavy atmosphere settled over the island peak.

"That's the situation. Right now, the only viable escape route is by air. If we try the sea, we'll be attacked.

Earlier, Luo Han used telekinesis to move a few rafts across the sea boundary. They were instantly devoured by Sea Kings," Uncle Witt explained, facing the silent crowd.

"Uncle Witt… is there really no other way? We can't all leave, can we? I… I'd rather stay," said an older man with one arm, his voice trembling, tears threatening to fall.

Everyone turned to Uncle Witt.

He looked out over the gathered young men, his gaze slowly hardening.

"Luo Han and Cole's powers aren't enough to take everyone at once.

Starting tomorrow, I'll go with Luo Han, and Kate will go with Cole. We'll split into two teams and search for islands around Ring Tree Island.

If we find anything, we'll begin moving people in groups before the Scaled Fruit ripens."

He paused, then added:

"But once we go too far, we might lose our way and not be able to find our way back.

So we'll fly as high as possible, searching the nearby sea while making sure we don't get lost."

Everyone looked toward Luo Han and Cole.

"Luo Han! Cole! We're counting on you—stay safe."

"Don't feel pressured. None of this is your fault.

Sigh! I can't believe, in the end, we have to burden you two kids with this…"

A flicker of hope appeared in their eyes—but none of them wanted Luo Han and Cole to carry this weight alone. All they could do was offer their support.
