While the father ran away in the opposite direction of his daughter's escape, after a long period of fleeing, he suddenly stopped and looked behind him.
He quickly drew his sword and blocked Forn's deadly strike, but the force of the impact pushed him several meters backward.
Forn looked at him with a smile and said:
"As I expected from Carel's son, you took my strike easily."
When Carel's son heard that, he focused on her voice and figure, confirming his suspicion. He had known it was Forn from sensing her aura, though he wished he were wrong.
But now she was in front of him, speaking to him and mocking him. He sighed, realizing that there was no use in running.
He confirmed it when he saw her: the feeling he had several days ago was the death of his father. Forn would not leave his father's pursuit and would come after him.
He held his sword firmly, raising it in front of her, and decided to mislead her until Elina could escape far away with the box.
As he thought about it, he didn't know why he had given her that dangerous box, but he could not focus on anything else besides Forn.
He concentrated on her, clearing all other thoughts, and asked:
"Did you kill my father, Forn?"
Forn smiled cruelly and said:
"No, unfortunately I did not kill him. He killed two dukes with his suicide and had already destroyed a team of imperial knights beforehand. Do you know what that means?"
When Carel's son heard that, he was shocked and tried to comprehend what she said, asking with shock on his face:
"Are you saying my father died and took these people with him?"
Forn pointed her sword at him and replied:
"Yes, your father did that. Do you realize the severity of the crime he committed?"
Upon hearing her, he confirmed her words and laughed out loud with a happy tone:
"My father always dreamed of a legendary death, and now he has achieved it."
When Forn saw that he was not worried or concerned by the information and instead laughed, she confirmed that he and his father were both insane, and she thanked fate that her father was the Emperor. If Carel had become Emperor and his son Crown Prince, the empire would have been destroyed, and humanity wiped out in a few days.
While Forn was thanking fate, she looked at Carel's son and said:
"Do you want to run from here?"
Carel's son looked at her surprised by the question, but he answered:
"Of course I want to, you fool."
When Forn heard his answer and lack of respect, she was certain he was Carel's son, as he shared this trait with his father. But she did not lose her calm, having learned from her previous experience with his father.
She said to him in a calm tone:
"Tell me where to find Zeus, and I'll let you go. Don't try to trick me and say your father didn't tell you where he is."
Carel's son looked at her surprised by her question and said:
"How does your father know where Zeus is, princess?"
He said that thinking his father had indeed told them about Zeus, but he did not know why he had lied about knowing his location.
Forn looked at him mockingly and said:
"I already knew from your father that he knew the location, and I made a deal with him to tell me, but he broke his promise and did not tell me."
Carel's son looked at her shocked and said:
"You made a deal with my father?"
Forn looked at him surprised by his question but replied:
"Yes, is there a problem?"
As soon as she said that, Carel's son burst out laughing, mocking her:
"You fool, who makes a deal with my father without money will be betrayed. Haven't you heard the rumors, or do you not have ears?"
Forn's anger flared at his words, and she said:
"Will you tell me where he is, or should I get the information from you my way?"
Carel's son stopped laughing and looked at her with a smile, saying:
"My father tricked you, fool. He only warned him, and since then, he disappeared, and we know nothing about him."
Forn sensed the truth in his tone, but she did not want to believe it. She looked at him and said with madness in her voice:
"If you don't want to talk, I'll make the words come out of your mouth with my sword."
As soon as she finished speaking, she ran at him with tremendous speed, leaving only dust behind.
Seeing her tone and uncoordinated reckless attack, Carel's son knew she had gone mad. He held his sword firmly and blocked her reckless strike.
Unintentionally thinking of his daughter and what she would do without him, he resolved in his heart that he must escape at all costs.
He looked at the furious Forn and her reckless attack, and took advantage of one of her strikes, not dodging but blocking it with difficulty. He then gathered all his aura in his hand and struck her stomach, hurling her away.
Seeing his plan succeed, he quickly fled the place.
He knew such a strike would have little effect on Forn, but he did not want to hurt her; he only wanted to push her away to escape.
Before he could flee, Forn, having taken the blow, lost control and forgot she wanted to capture him alive.
While she was recoiling in the air from Carel's son's strike, she gathered her aura in her sword and launched a flying deadly strike toward his back as he tried to escape.
The son could not evade the cutting blow, which struck him in the back fatally.
After the strike hit him, he was thrown to the ground, dying. His last act was looking at Elina's escape route, crying, not knowing what she would do alone in this harsh world.
As he thought about it, he died, reaching out as if wanting to hold his daughter one last time.
When Forn stopped flying after Carel's son's strike, she regained consciousness and ran to him, hoping he was still alive. But upon sensing his heart had stopped, she grabbed her sword and struck him hard, decapitating Carel's son in anger, thinking that the clue she had found after years to locate Zeus had gone to waste due to a fit of rage.
She thought about it and completely forgot Carel's son's words that it had been a trick by his father, as if she did not want to believe it.
As she thought that, she extended her hand and took Carel's son's head, saying while looking around:
"I must return to the Emperor with Carel's head."
Even Carel's granddaughter did not cross her mind, as she only wanted to leave the north and return to the empire. She did not care about a small child, not considering that a little girl could pose a threat to the empire, nor did she expect the child to survive alone in the north.
As soon as she thought of that, she departed from the place carrying Carel's head, completely forgetting about the child.
She did not know that due to her arrogance and disregard for capturing her, the empire would later suffer from a dangerous enemy.
