When everyone in the demonic continent heard the voice, they were shocked by what they heard, for this voice belonged to the sleeping Demon King. They were astonished, as he had been asleep for many long decades.
But after the shock and astonishment, they remembered what he had said: to increase the attacks on the continent of Mira.
The demons went mad, and many of them set out in groups and hordes toward the fallen islands to occupy them, while others set out to infiltrate the continent of Mira to find what their king wanted.
Far away in caves in the demonic continent, a woman taller than giants, with half her body a serpent and hair made of long snakes, opened her eyes and said in a strange voice:
"Our king has awakened… has he recovered from his injury?"
When she said that, her voice spread throughout the place, and then the place was filled with the sound of hissing snakes. Thousands of long and small snakes emerged from the caves to learn what their mistress Medusa wanted from them, one of the nine demon rulers.
The other rulers did the same, to find out whether the king had recovered from his injury, so they could prepare themselves for the war they would wage against the continent of Mira if he awakened.
While the demon rulers and the dark demonic continent were engulfed in chaos, the continent of Mira was also engulfed in chaos. Every saint of the races of beings in the continent of Mira predicted one thing: that a great war was about to occur and was inevitable. The weak would perish and the strong would remain, races would descend from their heights, new races would appear to share in glory, and enemies long thought vanished would reappear.
When the kings of the races of the continent of Mira learned of the saints' prophecies, and that all saints of the races had foretold the same thing, they all became anxious and afraid. Most of them went to ask the dragons for solutions and measures to take.
But the dragons had only one answer: as long as they ruled the continent, nothing dangerous would happen there.
When the kings of the races heard that, they calmed down somewhat and thought carefully about the power that could shake the strength of the continent of Mira. After long consideration, they found nothing.
The dragons had always been the protectors of the continent of Mira, and nothing had ever affected their rule, from demons to their personal rulers.
Thinking of this, they all calmed down, forgot the warning, and considered it nothing more than another war or increased demon attacks.
What made them more confident was the demon attacks that occurred when they heard the prophecy. They linked the prophecy to these sudden attacks, focused their efforts on repelling them, and after some time forgot about the prophecy.
Until one of the human saints declared that this was not the prophecy and that they had misunderstood it.
When the Emperor saw that his words were negatively affecting the morale of the people, he had him killed and declared:
"Anyone who speaks of or spreads false prophecies again, his punishment is death."
When the people witnessed this and the saint's death, they believed the Emperor and accepted that the saint had been spreading false prophecies, calling him the false saint.
That incident remained etched in people's minds for a long time. Over the years, it became a lesson passed down, so that every person and child came to know it. The lesson spread for decades and was believed, until the time came for them to realize that they had been wrong, and that the false saint had been the truthful one.
From the perspective of the Dragon King, he was sleeping in his own lair when he sensed a great danger in the future and an ancient enemy that would come.
He awoke from his long sleep, looked toward a distant land, and said to himself:
"Will the Titans awaken after all these ages?"
The king thought for a moment and said in a voice carrying authority:
"Let someone go and see if there is anything wrong on the continent and around it, and make sure there is no hidden danger."
After saying that, the king fell asleep again in a long hibernation.
When the dragons heard the king's command, each of the three dragon clans sent an adult dragon to inspect the state of the continent of Mira and ensure its safety.
The dragons set out and searched every corner of the continent.
When the peoples and races of the continent of Mira saw what the dragons were doing, they were surprised and sensed that something was wrong, but they did not dare ask what they were doing or what had made them search the entire continent.
All they could do was assist them in the search and carry out their orders to the letter, like foot soldiers who do not know where they are going or what they are doing, but follow in the footsteps of those stronger than them out of fear of angering them or earning their displeasure.
The search continued for years, and the dragons found nothing. Their king believed he had been mistaken in his feeling, but he did not abandon his caution.
He ordered the young and small dragons not to leave their lairs, and that only adult dragons were allowed to leave.
The Dragon King's caution was not cowardice, but the result of time and wisdom he had gained, which taught him caution in everything, as it could be a trap or an ambush.
It taught him that danger lies in the places you least expect, so he took precautions as soon as he sensed danger or ill intent toward his kind, even though he did not know the source of the danger.
Yet he did not know why his first instinct was that the Titans were the cause, even though he had led the dragons for thousands of years and defeated them. But he knew they do not go extinct, for they are not born like ordinary beings. Rather, they are formed from nature and born of it.
Therefore, their annihilation and extinction are impossible. They are born everywhere, and this is what has made them the greatest enemy of the dragons for thousands of years.
