Chapter 34 - The CEO of Elwave Digital Tech

Elena stepped off the plane in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the tropical air a welcome respite from the tension. Adam followed, his expression focused on the evening ahead.

They hailed a cab and headed to the Breathless Montego Bay hotel,a secluded beachfront retreat. As they checked in, the scent of saltwater and frangipani filled the lobby.

In their suite, Elena kicked off her heels, sinking onto the plush bed. "We need to regroup before the meeting back in new Jersey after we're done with the meetings here."

Adam nodded, tossing his jacket aside. "Freshen up, then strategize. We can't afford mistakes tonight."

The ocean view window framed a stunning sunset. Elena stood before it, taking a deep breath. "Let's get this over and done with a fast as possible.

Adam headed to his own room, the soft click of the door a welcome relief. Two hours passed in a blur of exhaustion, and Elena's alarm jolted her awake. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, swung her legs over the bed, and padded to the bathroom.

The cool water on her face was invigorating. She freshened up, re-done her makeup, and slipped back into her shoes. Time to wake Adam.

She texted him: "Ready. Meet you in the lobby in 10?"

Soon, Adam arrived dressed very smart, ready for the meeting. They boarded a cab to the venue.

The Marshalls' team ushered Adam and Elena into the conference room in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and the gentle hum of air conditioning filled the space. Adam's carried Elena's laptop and meeting notes, his movements discreet as he sets up for the presentation. They took seats across from John and Michael Marshall, the polished mahogany table between them.

John Marshall looked at Adam, expecting him to lead the discussion. "Adam, thanks for coming down. Let's discuss Elwave Digital Tech's proposal. We've reviewed the documents, but we'd like to understand the implementation plan better."

Elena extended a hand, her smile warm yet professional. "Good morning, gentlemen. I'm Elena Thompson, CEO of Elwave Digital Tech. It's a pleasure to meet you both in person."

The Marshalls' eyes snapped to her – surprise written on their faces. Michael's voice falters, betraying their preconceptions. "We...thought Adam was...the lead on this."

Elena's smile remained polished, a subtle reassurance. "Adam's my personal assistant. He helps me manage the logistics and ensures our operations run smoothly. I'm directly involved in all major decisions, including this partnership."

John Marshall's expression shifted from surprise to curiosity, his eyes narrowing slightly as he reevaluated Elena. "Well, Ms. Thompson. Let's hear what you have. We're intrigued by Elwave's approach, but we need clarity on execution."

Elena took charge, diving into Elwave Digital Tech's Caribbean expansion plans with a confident blend of technical depth and business strategy. She navigated the presentation effortlessly, addressing questions on scalability, security, and ROI with precision. The Marshalls were taken aback by her grasp of tech and business, their initial surprise turning into impressed nods.

As they discussed integration, John said ,"Impressive. We didn't realize...you were leading Elwave, Ms. Thompson. Your background is in tech development?"

Elena leaned back slightly, her demeanor open. "I co-founded Elwave focusing on enterprise solutions. We've grown significantly in five years. Our model emphasizes innovation and client partnerships."

Michael Marshall leaned forward, intrigued. "That's what caught our eye – your adaptability. But how do you see Elwave aligning with our existing infrastructure?"

Elena nodded, launching into specifics on API integration and phased deployment. Adam chimes in once, handing her a requested data sheet, but mostly he observes, managing logistics silently.

The meeting stretched into an hour, discussion flowing from tech specifics to growth projections. The Marshalls were clearly weighing Elwave's capabilities against their needs, their expressions thoughtful.

As they wrapped up, John Marshall leaned back. "Thank you, Ms. Thompson. We'll review and be in touch soon."

Elena smiled, professional and warm. "Looking forward to it, gentlemen. Adam will handle follow-ups."

The meeting concluded.

Elena gathered her things, efficient. Adam packed up the laptop and notes, syncing them to the cloud as they prep to exit.

As the Marshalls and their team filed out, John Marshall turns back. "Thanks again, Ms. Thompson. Looking forward to next steps."

Elena smiled, nodding. "Likewise, Mr. Marshall. Adam will follow up."

Once they were alone in the boardroom, Adam let out a quiet breath. "Think that went well, boss."

Elena nodded, thoughtful. "Did. They were surprised."

Adam chuckles low. "Understatement."

Elena grinned, gathering her stuff. "Time to get back to New Jersey. We've got a team waiting on updates."

Adam nodded, leading the way out.

"Boss... I think it'd be better if we were to spend the night here at the hotel, we don't know if the Marshalls would need anything or another meeting with aspects they're not yet cleared with, what if we get the contract?.I'll just prep the debrief later."

Elena looked at him, wanting to refute.

She raised an eyebrow, but Adam's persuasive smile won her over. "Alright, fine. One night. But we leave first thing tomorrow."

Adam grinned, booking the hotel rooms. "I'll get us upgraded."

The Shorehaven Hotel's luxury wrapped around them, the ocean view a welcome respite. As they parted ways, Adam called out, "Dinner on the beach at 8?"

Elena nodded, already planning her evening.

The night unfolded – waves crashing, stars twinkling, and a quiet dinner under the Jamaican sky. No work, just a breather. They talked strategy, laughed, and let the tension go.

Next morning, as they sipped coffee on the beach, Elena's phone rang – the Marshalls. "Can you sign the contract today?"

Adam leaned in. "Guess we're not leaving yet."

Elena answered, "We'll head to your offices soon."

The day shifted gears. They dressed, signed the contract with the Marshalls, and toasted success. Lunch by the water, and they finally relaxed.

As the afternoon waned, Adam turned to Elena. "Ready to head back?"

Elena nodded. "Let's get the jet home. Team's waiting."

The flight back was a blur of debriefs and plans.

Back in Elwave Digital Tech's offices, the team buzzed around them. "Contract's signed. Let's push live."

Elena smiled, satisfaction sharp. "Get it done." The night staff moved with purpose, the hum of servers and focused chatter filling the space. Almost Done.

Adam leaned back, eyes on the clock. "Pack it in. Tomorrow, we launch."

Elena nodded, exhaustion and adrenaline mixing. They filed out, the night air cool on their skin. Elwave Digital Tech hummed, the deal done. Now, the real work began.

They exited the boardroom, Elwave's next moves already on their minds.
