After their exchange of words, Elena left the house, ignoring the angry glare from the two women whom she had nearly annoyed to death. She held a small bag, one that obviously contained some clothes when she came out of her room,.
She got into her car that was parked in the garage.
The purple peguet was a gift from Harris on her birthday after she had complained of walking the long distance down to his house to visit him, her father hadn't deemed it for to get a car for her, his wife was another problem, how could she let her go out with one of her husband's car? She could have gotten herself a car, but then how was she going to expire it to the people living with her?
On her way, she decided to get a simple car after selling the one she was driving, afterall Harris wasn't with her anymore, not that she wanted him again.
Having almost gotten to her destination, she parked the car, to quickly change out of the clothes she was wearing into the clothes in the bag. When she had completely changed out of her previous clothing, she started the car again driving with maximum speed, taking an almost unknown route.
After some minutes, she drove to a large building, she quickly parked the car in the private garage. When she came out of the car, a man which seemed a few years older than her was waiting outside for her. He handed her a blue file, after offering his greetings. She nodded taking the file from him, quickly, she flipped through it.
"Let's go in".
The man led the way.
"Adam when did you say I've a meeting with Mr drake?" Her eyes were still glued to the file.
"Five in the evening ma'am, you would be meeting in green Grove, but before then, Mr Fred would be paying us a visit this afternoon". She looked at the watch on her wrist to find out that it was almost twelve in the afternoon, she couldn't help but frown, wondering how she had to be late that day, true she had been busy these past few days, but coming in late was considered as slacking.
Anyway she was very satisfied that she had gotten and completed the contract she had been aiming for, now she really didn't have much to do.
"Hmm... Make him wait outside for me".
Adam nodded. He had been working with her for the past three years, of course he knew how she operated.
She paused remembering something else.
"Could you ask Celia to get a cup of coffee for me? The ones she makes her the best"
"Sure ma'am". The man replied her.
"Okay then, don't forget to check in with the reservation at peach resorts, we don't have much of a time." They finally got to her office. " That would be all for now, Adam, and please don't forget the cup of coffee".
Without waiting for him to reply, she got into the office, after inserting a password.
Twenty minutes later, Celia her secretary, arrived at her office with a cup of coffee, she smiled gratefully at her. " I don't know the since when, but i know I've gotten use to your coffee, I don't seem to like any that wasn't made by you". She inhaled the aroma from the cup of coffee before taking a sip.
Celia smiled before going back to her duty post, already used to it as it was their daily routine, Elena always said the same thing to her every time she made coffee.
After reading through some files on the table for about an hour, Adam's knocked on the door came from the outside.
She opened the door for him, since it had automatically locked itself when she went in.
" Ma'am is there anything specific or an adjustment you'd like to add to the proposal?
"Hmm" she affirmed. " I'll just underline the parts where i want an adjustment to be made, I'll also rewrite how I expect it to be handled, the proposal is good, but we can't always settle for good, I want the best, you can go back, I'll let you know when I'm done."
"Ma'am, Mr Fred called to inform that he is already on his way."
She nodded as she waved her hands in dismissal."I'll handle it, Adam, just let me know when he's here". With a nod, Adam went out.
Adam soon informed her that the man was already there, he was waiting for her at the waiting area. She closed and rearranged the files she had been working on before heading out to the visiting area where she was been waited for.
" Hello Mr Fred, nice to see you again". She sat down on a couch facing him , she grinned when she noticed his discomfort as she stared down at him with an all knowing expression.
