Chapter 13 - She had a different aura

As they entered the grand entrance, Elena felt like she had stepped into a fairy tale. The soaring atrium was adorned with a crystal chandelier that refracted light into a kaleidoscope of colors, casting a mesmerizing glow over the space. A stunning work of art hung on the wall, a masterpiece that seemed to come alive as she gazed at it.

The butler was waiting for them at the door, after nodding a greeting at them, they butler led them in. Elena looked around

The luxurious living room was a haven of plush sofas, sleek glass tables, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The villa looked more than just a home – it was a masterpiece, a work of art that seemed to come alive as she explored its every nook and cranny. Elena felt like she had entered a world of pure luxury, where every moment was a pleasure and every experience was a treasure. She thought about having the same design and house plan for the Villa she was about to start building. She would ask Lucien who the architect that designed the house was, not today though, maybe another day, when they had formalised the marriage.

She wondered if they were going to meet his misterious son today. But there was only five percent chance that he'd be there.

Lucien stood at the window, gazing out at the manicured lawn as he sipped his scotch, he wore a small smiled on his face, anticipating the arrival of the Wilson's couple and the young woman who would soon be joining his family.

He made his way to the living room, his tailored suit a perfect fit for the occasion. His butler, greeted him with a discreet nod, announcing the arrival of their guests.

"Ah, Edward, Juliet" Lucien exclaimed, extending his arms as Edward, his wife and a beautiful young woman his entered the room.

"Welcome to my little home." he added .

turning to Juliet, he said. "You look as stunning as ever, Juliet"

Juliet smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Thank you, Lucien, you are so humble, this place is anything but small."

"True, Lucien, you have a very beautiful home."Edward commented.

"It is beautiful indeed, but it is different from yours,it lacks the touch of a woman in it." Lucien sighed.

"True." Juliet nodded in affirmation.

Lucien's gaze shifted to the young woman standing beside them, her striking features and bright smile catching his attention.

"And this must be Elena," Lucien said, extending his hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Elena. I've heard so much about you."

Elena's eyes met his, a hint of shyness in her smile. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Lucien."

As they sat down,Lucien's butler served them a cup of coffee while they waited for dinner to be ready.

Lucien began the conversation, his charm and charisma on full display. The evening unfolded with ease, the conversation flowing effortlessly as they discussed old times, business, and family.

He looked at Elena with a smile.

"I'm so sorry my son couldn't make it today, that boy is always busy, but i assure you he would pay you a visit once he is chanced."

"It's okay, I'm sure Elena here understands, she is a very sensible child." Juliet spoke up for her.

Elena only shook her head trying to hide her irritation.

"Yes... Yes... Elena is very sensible, she won't take it to heart, so long as he makes it up to her when they meet." Edward readily agreed. Elena looked briefly at her father.

At dinner, Lucien seated Elena to his right, engaging her in conversation and learning more about her interests and aspirations. He was impressed by her intelligence and poise, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing she was part of their family. He was already confident in her, he believed she would make a good wife for his son. She carried herself with the kind of aura he hadn't seen in other young women of her age, or even those older than her.

"You're always welcome here, Edward and Juliet." Lucien said, after dinner. "And Emily, I look forward to getting to know you better."

Edward looked his wife smiled, thanking Lucien for his hospitality, as they headed once again to the living room to conclude the discussion before they'd head home.

A young maid poured a glass of wine for each of them as they sat down.

" Edward, we are both busy people, so i'll go straight to the point, i want to know if you would be happy to host the wedding ceremony before the end of the year, of course if Elena here is okay with the arrangement

." He looked at the young woman who was obviously against the idea of a marriage.

"Whatever Mr Lucien decides is okay by me" She said in a meek voice. Juliet looked at her in shock. What had happened to her?

Lucien nodded happily.

"When my son comes back to the country, we'll decide everything then." His smile widened when Elena nodded softly.

"If that is all we'll like to head back home, we have a ball to attend tomorrow, so it would be best if we retire early." Edward said standing up, Juliet and Elena did the same.

Lucien also stood up. "Okay, let me walk you to the car."

"That's not really necessary." Edward declined with a soft smile.

Lucien shook his head before saying, "it's only right for me to see you out, let's go, Elena dear." He held Elena as he walked behind her parents.
