Mr Fred looked at her with a scared expression, how was he going to pass the message to her when she was already threatening him with her eyes? He cleared his throat.
"I believe we both know the reason why you are here? She glared at him.
"Hmm.....ye..yes, miss Wilson, I'm so sorry for wasting your time, it's just that my boss thinks it is high time you meet, so you could tender your apology, after the last incident," he paused as of weighing his words," He would also like for the both of you to collaborate, he gave me something to give to you." He fondled for something inside his briefcase, he quickly brought out a blue, thick file. "He would like for you to go through it before making a decision". He handed it to her. She refused to collect the file from him.
"I'm afraid that would not be necessary, you may leave now, I've got a company to run, and tell your boss that if given a second chance, I'd do the same thing." She walked away without waiting for him to speak.
Angrily, Mr Fred left the building , wondering what his boss saw in her to ever bother with her.
Elena sat in the office, angrily cursing the man. Who did he think he was? How could he ask her to apologize to him?
She remembered that day when she had met him, she had just decided to walk home that day after dropping some gifts at the orphanage, just a few mile away from home, a car pulled up before her. She had minded her business as she continued walking, but three men had to come outside to stop her, they informed her that their boss wanted to talk to her.
While wondering the kind of enemy she had made, Elena had decided to go with them quietly to the car.
A handsome man who seemed to be in his early thirties was seated on the back seat, smoking, the car was filled with smoke, but he sat calmly amidst the smokeand when she reached the car, he took a long look at her body before his eyes finally landed on her face.
" Miss Wilson, is it? He asked with a cold smile.
Elena nodded, " And you are? She returned his glare.
"No need to know who i am, but my boys call me the boss." He smirked at her.
She raised her eyebrows. "You couldn't possibly want me to call you that, right?? She glared stubbornly at him, as she stood upright. He chuckled.
"I just knew i was going to like you, I'm looking forward to spending more time with you in the future, miss wilson, or should i say Elena, since we have passed that phase." His eyes danced evily as he looked at her.
"No one told you i hate men who speaks too much? She sharpened her tongue when she realised she was dealing with a shameless person.
"I always wondered why you despised your father,you just clarified me." He fired back at her. She smiled nonchalantly at him.
"You remind me of him".she threw back still wearing a smile. He laughed loudly, louder than the first time.
How shameless could this person before her be? " If that's the case, why don't you hop in, let's go to somewhere more private? he smiled at her, very sure that she would go with him, Elena liked challenges.
" Well... as you can see, I had a very long and busy day, all i want right now is to go home so I could have a goodnight rest." She raised her head up stubbornly, carrying the aura of a queen. The bodyguards frowned as they looked at her in dismay. She grinned as she noticed the expression on their faces. Way to go Elena, She patted her shoulders with pride. She was already having a lot of fun, playing with their foolish boss who made the most silliest appearance she had ever seen before.
"You wouldn't want to annoy my boys do you? I can see they are already pissed." He still wore a smile.
"They can be angry for all i care, but I'll never get into your car if i choose not to." She brought out her tongue with a wide grin. Fool!
He waved his hand at the three men who quickly approached her, she massaged her neck.The three men had cornered her, their intentions clear.
The first man lunged at her, and she dodged his clawk-hand grab. With a swift kick, she sent him crashing into the wall. The second man charged, but she was ready. She grabbed his arm and flipped him onto his back, pinning him down with her knee.
The third man, fueled by rage, swung a wild punch. She ducked, and his fist came in contact with nothing but the thin air, leaving him momentarily stunned. She took advantage of the opening and delivered a series of quick jabs, sending him to the ground.
The first man, still recovering, tried to get up. She kicked him again, this time in the chest, and he collapsed, defeated. The other two men had also collapsed on the floor, beside him.
She stood panting, her chest heaving with exertion, she slapped her hands together in an attempt to wipe off the dirt, she turned to their boss with a smile, her smile deepened when she noticed his sour face.
He frowned angrily at her.
"Wrong information, A-GAIN, I guess" she smiled dubiously at him after putting more emphasis on the word again. She walked away when he didn't say anything.
He had let her be for some weeks after that shocking incident before he sent Fred to look for her two weeks ago with a business proposal,one of was quite lucrative, but how could she accept a proposal that was coming from that foolish man, who still hadn't learnt his lesson?
