Once they got to the car, Lucien paused, he asked to have a word privately with Elena, Edward nodded before ushering Juliet into the car.
He held Elena's hand softly.
"I know that you're not really happy about this arrangement the other day I arrive at your house, but i assure you that you will be well taken care of, my son is a very nice man, you will not regret choosing to be his wife I will also like to know if you were forced to accept the marriage, I don't want to force you into doing anything." Elena looked at the man who spoke kindly to her.
"It's okay, I was not forced, I believe Mr Lucien is a very honourable man, surely you son must follow after your footsteps." She spoke politely.
Lucien was pleased with the way she spoke.
"Okay... I'm so happy to hear that, but if any one mistreats you, make sure you come to me, okay, I'll help you fight against anyone, don't forget you will soon be the mistress of the Alan family." She smiled at how fierce he was, she was touched even though she knew she could always defend herself.
"Okay... I will make sure to always remember, and I'll run to you whenever anyone tries to bully me." She smiled like a spoilt child. Lucien shook his head, though he had a very pleased expression on his face.
"Okay , then, you should head back now, I'll see you later." He waved at her as she got into the car.
Elena noticed that Juliet was glaring angrily at her, she minded her business as she brought out her phone to play a game.
After that visit to lucien's house, she didn't hear from him for the next one week before he suddenly visit her at the orphanage which she usually frequented.
She was surprised, but when she thought about it, it wasn't unlikely that he wouldn't have done a background check on her.
She smiled happily at him as she walked over to him in quick strides.
"Mr Lucien, good afternoon." She said.
He smiled at her. "Common, no need to be so formal with me, just call me dad, my dear." his smile widened as he saw her blush shyly.
How could he always do that to her? She wondered inwardly.
"Okay...dad." She watched the man's eyes lighten up.
"Good girl" he sounded like a father who was extremely pleased with his daughter.
She thought about Edward and decided she was better off having him as her father instead.
"What are you doing here, dad?" She looked around him and noticed he came alone.
"Nothing, I just came to visit you, since you have no need to come to me ." He teased her with a serious face.
"I'm so sorry about that, it's just that I've been very busy lately, but once I'm done with my work here, I'll pay you a visit everyday, till you get tired of seeing my face."
He shook his head as he chuckled.
"I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing this beautiful face." She was surprised when she heard him, a playing smile formed on her face.
"You have a very sweet tongue, you make me want to reconsider me choice and just marry you instead, but I've already started calling you dad." He chuckled louder this time around.
"Silly child, my son takes after me, you know, you'll like him when you get to maat him.
"Okay...but I would still have preferred to marry you." She frowned playfully.
" common, what are you doing right now,?" He looked behind Hera's he surveyed the whole place.
"Nothing," she also looked behind her.
"If that's the case, why don't i take my beautiful daughter to have lunch? He smiled leaving no room for her to recline.
She nodded. " let me quickly grab my bag." She quickly ran into the tall old building.
