Ethan nodded. "Yeah. I'll show you after earing. We can take a walk."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Coulson shook his head slightly and smiled.
"Honestly, I want to see what kind of weird stuff you've come up with. Your Phantom is still number one on every VIP wish list. Everyone wants it. And that's not even counting the things no one knows you have."
Ethan shrugged.
"I like staying safe in a crazy world."
May gave him a long look.
"That's not just 'staying safe.' That's being prepared for war."
Ethan replied calmly,
"In my experience, it's better to be ready and not need it than the other way around."
Grant smirked.
"Yeah… reminds me why I work for you."
Sharon smiled faintly but said nothing.
They finished their food soon after. The mood was relaxed now, lighter than before.
As they stood up to leave, Ethan added,"Don't expect explosions or flashy lights. Most of my stuff is boring."
Coulson smiled."The saying one man's trash is another man's treasure fits you perfectly," he said."What you call boring is something others would kill to have."
Ethan shrugged. He thought to himself, With the tech in my head, this really isn't that impressive anymore, but he didn't say it out loud.
They stepped outside and began walking on the quiet street. Moonlight bathed the streets in serene light making the view beautiful.
"I guess this park would do, no one is around here" Coulson said as they arrived at a park.
Ethan nodded."First—my suit," he said, lightly tapping his clothes. "It looks like a normal business suit, but it's made of advanced fibers. It's bulletproof, and unlike regular vests, it absorbs impact too. No broken ribs."
Coulson nodded slowly. "Useful."
Ethan then raised his wrist."And this watch."
To them, it looked like a normal Rolex—clean and simple.
"The dial on top moves," Ethan said, rotating it slightly.
There was a soft hum.
In an instant, a large energy shield burst out from the watch, forming a full-body barrier around Ethan—from head to toe. It glowed faintly, solid and stable.
Everyone stopped walking.
"…Wow," Sharon muttered.
"This watch has ten more different functions aside from body shield," Ethan continued calmly. "That was mode one."
He turned the dial again.
The energy shield shifted, compressed, and flowed into his hand—reshaping itself into a long energy sword.
Ethan took a step forward and swung once.
A nearby stone structure near them was sliced cleanly in half, the cut smooth and precise.
Grant stared.
"…You called this boring?"
It was the same thought on others mind too.
'It is compared to other things in my mind' Ethan thought but didn't said it out loud.
Ethan lowered the sword, and the energy blade dissolved back into light, flowing into the watch like liquid.
"Mode three," he said. "Close-range offense."
He turned the dial again.
This time, thin lines of light spread from the watch across his forearm, forming a compact gauntlet. The glow was softer, but the air around it vibrated faintly.
Ethan continued. "Resonance break."
He walked over to what remained of the stone structure, placed his gauntleted hand against it, and pushed—gently.
The stone cracked apart with a deep thrum, breaking into chunks as if it had been hit by heavy machinery.
Grant whistled low."That's… definitely useful."
"The principle behind it is simple," Ethan explained. "It scans the material, then vibrates at the same frequency as the object, causing what's known as resonance."
Grant nodded."Yeah, learned that in school."
"It's also the reason armies break their marching formation when crossing bridges," Grant added. "To avoid resonance."
Ethan nodded in agreement."That's one of the classic examples of resonance."
Ethan shook his hand once, and the gauntlet vanished.
"Next."
He rotated the dial again.
A faint shimmer spread outward, and Ethan's body blurred slightly.
Then—he vanished.
Sharon gasped."He's gone."
"Not gone," Ethan's voice said from behind them. "Mode five. Optical and energy-based cloaking."
He reappeared a second later, the shimmer fading.
May's eyes narrowed."That's beyond stealth tech."
Ethan nodded."It bends light, heat, and most sensors. Not perfect, but good enough."
Coulson rubbed his chin."And let me guess—you have counters too."
"Of course."
Another turn of the dial.
The watch projected a small holographic map in the air—streets, buildings, heat signatures moving slowly.
"Mode six. Environmental scan. Short range," Ethan said. "Tracks movement, life signs, electronics."
Coulson looked at the detailed map and said."That's terrifying....if it's in enemy hand."
Ethan dismissed the hologram with a flick.
"Mode seven," he said.
He turned the dial again.
The watch emitted a low pulse—thoom.
Every nearby streetlight flickered. A parked car alarm chirped once, then died.
"Mode six," Ethan said calmly. "Localized EMP. Non-lethal. Adjustable range from 10 meters to 100 meters radius."
Coulson stared at the darkened street."…You could shut down half a block."
"Yes," Ethan replied calmly.
"I also made the watch EMP-proof," he added. "So external EMPs won't disable it."
He turned the dial again as he continued explaining, almost casually.
"The remaining functions are a camera, a taser, a scanner, an SOS signal—and finally, a bomb."
Everyone stiffened.
" the watch can also be made to self-destruct like a time bomb," Ethan went on, "it implodes, creating a pull strong enough to suck everything within a hundred-meter radius inward and reduce it to dust."
Silence fell.
They all stared at him, openly wondering if he was still human.
"…And you call this boring?" Sharon asked slowly.
Ethan shrugged."I've never had the chance to use it."
Coulson let out a breath."I honestly feel sorry for anyone who's stupid enough to come after you."
Coulson shook his head, still staring at the watch.
"Do you have anything else on you? Though honestly… I think that's more than enough."
Ethan glanced at his hand.
"This ring," he said, raising his finger. "It works as a taser."
Grant relaxed slightly. "Okay, that's normal—"
"It can also be used as a hand grenade," Ethan added calmly.
