[Reward Acquired: Combat Android – YoRHa No.2 Type B (2B)]

[Bonus Triggered: Direct Manifestation Reward]

Ethan blinked. Then blinked again.

"2B… from NieR: Automata?" he muttered. "You're kidding me."

The system didn't answer. It never did.

Instead, a second notification appeared.

[Direct Manifestation]

[Summoned Entity will manifest physically]

[Loyalty: Absolute]

Ethan's mind filled with schematics, data, and technical blueprints—everything he would have needed to create her, now perfectly stored in his memory.

"That saves me the trouble of creating her myself," he murmured.

Sitting on the edge of his bed, he took a breath and pressed the button.

The air in front of him shimmered—and she began to manifest into reality.

Light gathered, white and clean, forming a human shape. Data-like lines flickered for half a second, then vanished.

Someone was standing there.

A woman.

She wore a black combat dress with long sleeves and high boots, elegant but clearly designed for battle. White hair fell to her shoulders, perfectly neat. A black blindfold covered her eyes.

She stood still, posture straight, hands at her sides.

Another system window popped up.

[Summoned Unit Status]

– Combat capability: Extremely High

– Close-combat mastery: S-rank

– Weapon compatibility: All standard and advanced melee weapons

– Tech compatibility: Approved

– Loyalty lock: Ethan (Primary)

"Cool," Ethan nodded as he stood up and looked at her from all sides.

"Hm… she looks like a cosplayer," he muttered.

He reached out and touched her.

"She feels real. Even normal human skin warmth is there," he added quietly.

She stood still, eyes lowered. It was hard to tell whether she was active or not.

Then she spoke.

"Lord, 2B is ready to serve," she said calmly.

Ethan nodded.

"Alright. For now, let's go and introduce you to others."

He led her into the living room. Only Storm was there—Sharon was still at the company.

"Meet your new… partner," Ethan said. "2B."

Storm stared at her for a moment, then frowned slightly.

"I can't sense her heartbeat," Storm said.

Ethan nodded.

"She's a robot. A highly advanced android I created."

Storm raised an eyebrow, then nodded slowly.

"…That explains it."

2B stood quietly beside Ethan, hands behind her back.

Storm looked between them.

"So… what can she do?"

"A lot," Ethan replied. "Combat, defense, hacking, analysis. She's smarter than most supercomputers."

Storm crossed her arms.

"And her loyalty?"

Ethan glanced at 2B.

"Absolute."

2B spoke again.

"My mission is to protect Lord Ethan and follow his commands."

"Ethan-sama, have you watched the Terminator movies?" Storm asked, glancing at 2B.

"Yes," Ethan replied calmly. "But don't worry. I made her well… Terminator-proof."

After all, it wasn't him who truly created her—it was the System itself. She was one hundred percent unhackable.

"If you say so," Storm nodded, standing up. "I'd like to see her combat abilities."

Ethan nodded as well. "Great idea. I want to test her too."

2B inclined her head. "I will not disappoint you."

They moved outside to the training area. It was a large open space, built specifically for testing and sparring.

"You guys can use real weapons," Ethan said.

Storm nodded and drew his katana. At the same time, 2B also pivked a Katana from the rack. Both of them stepped forward, facing each other.

Then they moved.

Clang!

The blades collided, sharp and clean. Sparks flew from the impact, flashing in the air.

"Damn…" Ethan muttered as he watched.

They fought at full strength, neither holding back. Storm's strikes were fast and heavy, each swing precise and experienced. 2B matched him perfectly—her movements smooth, efficient, and almost mechanical in their perfection.

Steel rang again and again as the fight continued.

The fight continued.

Neither of them backed down.

Storm pushed harder, his movements sharp and aggressive. His katana strikes carried real killing intent, testing her reactions and limits.

2B responded instantly. Every attack was met, redirected, or countered. Her footwork was perfect, her timing precise. She didn't waste a single movement.

Clang!Clang!Clang!

The sound of metal echoed across the training area.

Ethan watched closely, his eyes narrowed.

"They're evenly matched…" he muttered.

Storm increased his speed. His aura flared slightly, pressure rolling outward as he attacked from multiple angles.

2B adapted immediately.

Her movements changed—faster, tighter, more efficient.

Then another system notification appeared in Ethan's vision.

[Notice]

[Her power level was adjusted during manifestation to match the highest-level personnel under the Host]

[That is why she is evenly matched with Storm Shadow]

Ethan nodded.

"So that's why," he said quietly. "She's capped to Storm's level right now."

It made sense. It's no wonder she have yet to overpower Storm.

They continued to fight.

Minutes turned into tens of minutes.

Storm attacked relentlessly, switching styles, angles, and speed. His experience showed in every move. He pushed forward without hesitation, testing her reactions again and again.

2B never slowed down.

She blocked, parried, and countered with perfect timing. Her breathing never changed. There was no sign of fatigue, no hesitation, no wasted motion. Every strike was clean and efficient.

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Sweat began to form on Storm's forehead. His movements were still sharp, but the strain was starting to show.

2B, however, looked exactly the same as when the fight started.

Ethan watched in silence, arms crossed.

Half an hour passed.

Finally, Ethan raised his voice.

"That's enough."

Both fighters stopped instantly.

Storm stepped back and lowered his katana, breathing a little heavier than before. 2B also stepped back and returned to a neutral stance, her blade lowering smoothly.

"There's no winner here," Ethan said calmly. "Not anytime soon."

Storm exhaled and nodded.

"Yeah. At this level, it could go on for hours."

Ethan looked at 2B.

"If this keeps going, you'll eventually win, right?"

"Yes," 2B answered without hesitation.

"My stamina is effectively limitless. Prolonged combat favors me."

Storm looked at her, he want to deny it but he can't.

"Figures."

Ethan nodded.

"That's enough testing for today."

2B sheathed her katana and turned toward Ethan.

"Combat test concluded."

Storm rolled his shoulders.

"She's dangerous," he said honestly. "Not because she's stronger—but because she never gets tired."

"Hm. That's exactly why I created her," Ethan replied. "So she can keep fighting when we're down."
