Ethan just pointed at his belt buckle.

"This belt," he said simply. "It's gravity-assisted. I can turn gravity on my body up or down whenever I want."

Grant blinked. "You're joking."

Ethan tapped the buckle.

For a split second, his body lifted—light, almost floating—then he pressed it again.

Thud.

The ground cracked slightly as Ethan dropped back down, landing like he weighed several tons. The concrete spider-webbed under his shoes.

"…Okay," Grant said slowly. "That's not normal."

"Of course I can increase the gravity around me from to me just to 100 meters around me" He said.

Ethan turned the gravity back to normal, as if nothing had happened.

Sharon stared at him. "Is there anything on you that isn't a weapon?"

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then Coulson squinted at him. "Please tell me your underwear isn't unclassified military hardware."

Coulson added, "Because at this point, I wouldn't be surprised."

They all looked at Ethan.

Ethan paused, as he looked a thier faces.

"…No," he said. "That's just normal."

They let out a collective breath.

Who prepares this much? was written clearly on everyone's face.

If Ethan had heard them, he would've said exactly what he always thought:

This is a Marvel world. You can never be too prepared.

He raised his hands slightly. "Last thing."

Everyone tensed again.

Ethan then lifted one of his foot and side tapped the other one with it.

With a soft mechanical click, thin blades slid out from the front of his footwear—sleek, sharp, and faintly glowing.

"They're coated with a fast-acting toxin," Ethan said calmly. "Strong enough to put an elephant to sleep in seconds."

Grant stared at the blades. "You… have poison knives in your shoes."

"Yes."

May crossed her arms. "I like that one."

Ethan retracted the blades, and everything returned to normal—business suit, calm posture, quiet street.

Silence stretched.

Finally, Coulson rubbed his face and sighed."…I'm updating your file."

Grant shook his head. "I'm never sneaking up on you. Ever."

Sharon looked at Ethan, half amazed, half horrified."You're a fucking walking arsenal," she said.

Ethan shrugged lightly."I prefer 'prepared.'"

"So," May said, tilting her head, "out of all your preparations… what can you sell to SHIELD? Some of that tech could seriously help us."

"None," Ethan replied calmly.

May frowned. "Why? I thought you were going to make some for us."

"I am making something," Ethan said. "For Coulson. Not for SHIELD."

"But—" May began.

Ethan raised a hand, stopping her."That would be like giving my enemies weapons to kill me."

He continued evenly, "Besides, anything I make will be theft-proof. If it's away from Coulson for more than twenty-four hours, it self-destructs."

Coulson let out a slow breath."I wouldn't expect anything less from you," he said.

May looked at him sharply. "You're taking his side?"

"There isn't a single organization on Earth that should have all of Arasaka-level tech," Coulson replied. "It's too powerful and too dangerous. We already know SHIELD has moles in its ranks. Giving Ethan's technology to us would be like handing nuclear launch codes to our enemies."

May fell silent.

No one argued with that.

"You talk as if I make weapons," Ethan said. "None of my company's products are weapons. Even my top-of-the-line cars only activate defensive systems if someone attacks them. And even then, they never harm the pursuer—only disable the car or the tires."

"Yes," Coulson replied calmly, "but what about the hidden ones, like the ones you currently have? Every single one of that technology leaking into the world would be enough to start a war for it."

Ethan didn't deny that.

"That's also the reason Tony never sold his armor to anyone," Coulson continued. "Once one suit goes out, people will pressure him to make more—and then sell more."

He glanced at Sharon."Even now, Sharon deals with reports about how the U.S. military wants Ethan as their weapons dealer. They want his tech repurposed—from protection into weapons of mass destruction."

Ethan stayed silent. There was no point denying it. Every few months, he had to say no to some government or another.

The only reason he wasn't in deep trouble was simple: unlike Stark Industries in the past, none of Arasaka's technology had ever been hacked, stolen, or used for destructive purposes.

Ethan made sure of that.

Any sign of tampering with his cars caused the entire system to fry itself, leaving nothing behind to salvage. He had seen how deep the mess Tony once fell into—and he refused to repeat it.

That was also why Arasaka's company policy was absolute:They never dealt with anyone who had even the smallest criminal record.

Even stealing from an old woman was enough to be blacklisted.

It was airtight—legally clean, morally defensible, and impossible for any government to pressure him through the law.

"You know what's funny," Coulson added, "the World Council has actually suggested—more than once—that Director Fury send our top agents to spy on you and steal your secrets."

Ethan nodded, a small smile forming."I'm pretty sure that already happened," he said, chuckling.

"Yes," Coulson agreed. "Your house in Manhattan has the highest number of deaths in the area. Anyone who tries to approach it through illegal means meets the same end—no mercy."

He glanced at Storm while saying this.

Storm didn't said anything as he remained silent.

As Eighty percent of those weren't even from Ethan's security systems. All of them dealt by Storm here, dying under his sword.

Sharon exhaled slowly. "You're not just protected," she said. "You're untouchable."

Ethan shook his head. "No," he replied. "I'm just careful."

Coulson gave him a long look. "Careful people don't usually need this many layers."

Ethan met his gaze. "Careful people survive in this world."

No one argued with that either.

They started walking again, the park lights flickering back to life as the EMP's effect faded. The city felt normal once more—cars in the distance, wind through the trees, footsteps on the path.

They walked as Coulson said " hmm, I have decided, I would like that watch" Coulson said as he looked at Ethan walking with him.
